I totally agree about the body. I’m in the process of making a wing mount that deletes the spare tire mount. It moves the wing back a bit to allow you to open the body! Should be cool when I’m done!
Reverse screw on the suspension arm is due to the fact that the arms are interchangeable…..left and right can be used on both sides. When you put a left arm on the right side, the thread is reversed. Same thing on the DBXL.
One of the reasons why it probably eats batteries is because it is such a heavy vehicle with a high kv motor. 2050kv isn't actually good for 6s use, you should look for a motor around the same size in around 1350-1500kv and then gear it up for speed. the extra rpms of the 2050kv motor create a lot more heat, especially when paired in such a large vehicle.
Great video man!.. these are the reviews the people need.. theres way too many videos that you can just tell are not honest reviews.. from guys that know rc from top to bottom.. which makes it even more dissapointing.. great job!
Loved ur review man! And i agree; even though i havent seen or driven a SLN. I have 2 original Lasernuts; properly shimmed and i’m running the same electronics as this; geared for 4s and they rip and take a beating. With the new TLR 8ight stuff out; Losi should have made a 1/8, 4s on the TLR platform; not take a 1/8, 4S drivetrain put it in a huge car and then put under powered electronics! On the original, the pivoting body works so well! They could have made the original a new legend…….but they didnt!
If you tighten the screws on the rear hinge down a little bit it'll make the hinge stiffer so it doesn't flop down on you when you're putting batteries in it.
Some vehicles, like that one, get all off on balance when you use a single 6s battery… they were designed to have the two 3s. So, I wonder how it will jump on a single 6s vs. 2 3s??
I think it's just different as you say most people will probably run it in more open ground may be put a max6 with a 1650kv in it do small jumps but know it's limited capability
exactly there will be some out there if it cant fly its not a rc I saw a lot of that with the maxx slash it didnt have the suspension for jumping but that didnt stop them from trying this is a great ground runner hardly tries to traction roll it is planted and goes
Bro, get like 4-5 bigger RC’s and race them on that wet grass… like an oval track… that would be so much fun! That thing drifts like it’s on Ice on the wet grass
@richardbrown6762 and if you're not using a smart battery? A single 6s pack is consideredably more weight than a 3s so your taking weight away from one spot doubling it in another plus most cars the batteries are side by side so it wouldn't matter this is obviously different flying planes a battery shift of just a little bit will make a world of difference in your c.g. totally changes the way it flies a car is a bit more forgiving put a single pack up front watch it plow seriously it matters the weight means more to the car than it does to your hand
I think a Max6/1650kv on 6s might be the sweet spot! Anyhow, its too big for me. I’m running the 150/2050kv on my 1/10th original Lasernuts; i have two and feel that size is perfect!
Hey buddy , This looks a good fun ground and pound , Do you feel this is underpowered in any way ? ive heard a few people saying that this should have been a 8s truck , what's your thoughts . Love the look of it and so many upgrades available considering the platform its based on . Hope your well and safe , Stay awesome brother Chris :)
I dont think it lacks power at all running it on the ground its a handful its all over lol. It could use a gyro. I guess people want it to wheelie or something I dont get the 8s stuff just like the Sledge so many saying its under powered I dont get where that comes from. This is another great ground pounder people want to make into a big air rc and as long as that chassis is there is not enough bracing for that its not designed to jump. I do not think the wheels or shocks would handle much of that its a ground racer thats what it is designed to do. Thank you for watching and the support.
I have the first one & I’m not even gunna wast my time it’s the worst RC I’ve ever had & there’s no way I’d by not only this second version but I’ve never purchased another Losi after spending over $500 on a shelf Queen money pit. Mine has been sitting broken for over a year & it’s been more broken then ran. It’s unfortunate.
exactly thats the problem on this platform too many channels out there trying to fly cars and break stuff for views they dont get you actually drive them they are not all built the same and for the same reason.
@troylitvinow8233 no its in the instructions remove tire before lifting body. Go watch the video Horizon did the tire is off. Where did you come up with this?

First at 7:30am!!! Hell yeah! I’ve been waiting for this one brother
@RC-Closer1313 lol sorry to keep you waiting hope you enjoy it

To me this one is a lemon and I'm a losi fan.
I agree with everything you said🤔… about that RC… 100%!!
Wow! The beginning of this was awesome! Great videography my friend…

I agree with the wisdom of your honesty. The smaller Lasernut FTW. Great job on the review.

Larry great driving and wow on the stress testing. Rain every day is why They call Florida the Sunshine State 😊😅😂. Jeff in LA USA
@JeffinLowerAlabama lol yup its designed to lure in the tourists then we hit them with reality

Nice review, Shooter! Only problem - where's the Walksnail FPV setup? lol

About what I expected. I also dislike the idea of taking the spare tire off every time you need to open the body 🤦♂️
@GreatLakesRC that is ridiculous to me I dont know how they thought we would like that.
Absolutely ridiculous; almost a deal breaker for me!
I think it's supposed to be a scale driver like the Traxxas UDR. Not really made to be bashed or jumped.

Yeah. I don't even jump my E-Revo Brushless Edition. I don't want to break anything.

I don't worry about the battery weight the smart battery don't weigh hardly anything 😮🤔

Maybe a 6s battery towards the back would help it’s jumping? What do you think?
Wait until you see a little later in the video
Too long and heavy, electronics are too weak, very unbalanced. I really do love the look of it
I wouldn't say the electronics.are weak it has good power but it is heavy especially for a 6s its more like 8s weight

I had to pause it to listen to Trump on a phone call Fox News… back to watching… you are switching batteries
Same thing people missed with the 1/10th. Its not a basher! They are ultra4 trucks, built to drive more scale. Get a Xmaxx if you want a basher.

Great look but, for the price not worth.Great on moist sand-dirt though!
Rear body piece comes off so you can lift without removing spare tire
