I really appreciate that you actually show you processing the flavours, thinking and choosing your words and don't do supercut edits every microsecond of silence - it feels very genuine and well thought through, will have to check out more of your videos! And props to engaging with Swedish people on the street, we tend to be quite closed off but you effortlessly brought out the people underneath :)
Been loving your content from my city Stockholm and can only hope you all enjoyed your time here. Fun fact: there’s a huge rivalry between that sausage place (Bruno’s) and another German-sounding place that’s also been around for ages called Gunther’s. Important to have a favourite there!
Not tried either to be honest, and i lived around Stockholm since 69, but then i rarely visit the city to crowded for my taste. But that package did look tasty.
You get chimichurri at Gunthers and a spicy harissa sauce with the " double kabbe" its better. The bread at Brunos is in many peoples opinion more toasty but thats the only advantage it has. Go to Gunters and enjoy mate.
@@JarnoLauronen That's correct, Günters is better. It's also correct that the origins of most of the sausages sold aren't Swedish, but many of them are in fact "Swedish versions" like the big seller Kabanoss - made in Malmö by Markos Chark.
Glad you enjoyed Stockholm :) Hot dogs are the traditional Swedish streetfood and..drunken food. Especially when it is cold watching a sport event or something.
Oh when I used to live in that neighborhood I often ate there. They had great polish bratwurst in a baguette style bun with slices of pickles stuffed in the bread beside it. Excellent.
When the UK's own Dustin Kensrue is blown away, I as a Stockholmer am certainly compelled to make the short journey to this korvbar that I hadn't even heard of.
For me Günther’s on Karlbergsvägen is still the best in Stockholm. I’m not sure if Günter still works there as I think he retired. But still, the selection is the best and the sauces are homemade.
If you want to experience another side of swedish cuisine culture i would strongly recommend Gothenburg, the northern west coast and the excellent seafood.
I have been to this place once. Honestly, I was'nt that hungry when I ate it so I guess that's why I couldn't give it a fair chance, but I know this place is legendary. I am saying this as a Swede.
Must be there version of a merguez . But a merguez is a spiced lamb sausage from Morocco . You see them served sometimes in a baguette with fries and cornichons (gherkins) with a mustard mayo. That's how I've had them in a baguette in France, popular sausage in France because of the french colonies a lot of north Africans live there.
Bro this sausage is made from mostly pig I doubt it’s anything similar served in Marocco, Sausages in general is truly a European thing, the arabs and North Africa can’t compare to the great sausages of the European continent(Mostly northern part) probably due to its high content of pork
@@znarkzthere is nothing wrong with the Merguez, it's a lamb and beef sausage, it's just not similar to the Kabanoss that is served in the video. In fact the Merguez is a super nice sausage.
I don’t know if you are still in Sweden but you have to try a place called “presto grillen” and order some “tunnbrödsrulle”. You will not be disappointed
You shouldn't think that Stockholm represents the whole of Sweden when there are lots of different local specialties in different cities. Check in Gothenburg, Malmö, Umeå etc. you will be equally surprised how good things are here and not only in Stockholm.
3:44 Haha, that's clearly a frustrated call for attention because camera man wouldn't give him a pet! Not that big a fan of Chihuahua's but this one was unusually cute. And looks enough like my recently past Pekingese to make me a bit sad. As for the sausage, never tried it. But one mistake too many sausage places make (imo) is that they don't toast the bread properly, way too short a time.
If you leave this country without having gotten a proper potatis+pannbiff+brunsås+lingonsylt you've done yourself a huge disservice. Idk if I'd trust anyone else to make it properly though, like this is part of what is called "husmanskost", but this dish differs a lot depending on who is making it. I still haven't mastered my grandma's technique, but seriously I need to get on doing that because she's not going to be around for much longer

Sandwich cake (smörgåstårta) as well, a classic.
You forgot "Hel Special"

Just left Stockholm last week and miss it so much. The people I met all so friendly
horrible city innit
Really cool to see you guys in Sweden! I hope you enjoyed the visit and the food!
On a side note.... technically, Gizmo isn't a Gremlin. It's a Maguay (sp?). Gremlins are what spawn from Gizmo.

Günters is easily the better of the two.
But it's also important to point out that these are not Swedish sausages. It's saying that pizza is Swedish.

He's still there? I used to work very near by and this was a standard lunch/dinner/aw-snack, it's awesome
Yet to try this one, on my list now, thanks.
I ate one of those almost every day for lunch for several years when I worked in the building behind that grill :) hahaha They are amazing!
I’ve been eating at that kiosk since 1990, and it was old then! Thank you Austria! Do try the African sausages.
Merguez?
@@reallivebluescat Indeed. In the baguette with saurkraut and German curry-ketchup. I know it sounds bizzare.
just found your channel really enjoy it mate
Love the mix of venues
It's a double because it's actually 2 sausages that they split in the middle to fit in the baguette
No. It's a double because a single is two sausages and a double is four.
Excellent! What was missing for the 10 though?
9.5 for the sandwich, 10 for the native Swedish girl
