Mine is coming today sans slip. I’m still excited for it, but a bit letdown by the lack of the flashback arc. I enjoyed the way the series was initially laid out when reading it.
I already preordered this, but if I’d realized there was missing issues I may not of. Kind of peeves me. I was already going to buy the spinoff when it came out in hardcover, but now I feel like this was a marketing strategy to entice me to buy another book. That would be fine if it wasn’t at the expense of not getting the whole story. So as far as I’m concerned, these only tell part of the story, when it should have to the whole story. I am peeved.
I had to reorder. Originally got the one without the slipcover without realizing there actually was a listing with slipcover. I just like the feel and look. Plus, I want to match my Vol 1.
Already have this on order, about time , really enjoyed Vol 1, these Slipcase editions are similar in size to DC absolutes, if Boom can do them for £35 , why does DC cost £53-£77+? Because they can I suppose
Another superb review of a lovely hardcover book. This is certainly the best way to read SiKtC, especially when the comic frequently slips from its monthly schedule. Is there any news on a HoS deluxe edition being released?
Not related to a specific collection but how do you feel about artists (and writers) who are late on their books because they're working on something else before their current commitment has been completed? For example, creator X just announced he's been working on a project with celebrity Y and meanwhile, issue 3 (of 4) of Batman Limited Series Y is several months late.
Oh goodie. My copy comes tomorrow. Or rather my daughter's will--she's reading and I'm just getting it for her. I did get her Vol 1 HC signed for her. Tynion is a nice guy in person. He hinted that all the flashback stories will be in their own HC someday.
I was waiting for this second book to start this series, but now I guess I'll wait for the addition missing issues in the spin off book. I'm not a fan of this decision.
First book started losing me by the end. Really started strong, but had a weak finish. The characters just didn't capture my interest. I'm looking forward to finishing Once and Future though.
Iffy about this seriesvasvwell. Seems really woke. Finished Once and Future in a week. Started out ggod Last volume was eh. Repitive and no risk and the grandmother had too much plot Rmor and knew too much. One of the main characters seems to do nothing. All that build up was wasted. Another character gets a major power up out of nowhere. WTF.
Just received my copy with slipcase today. Can't wait to start reading it!
I missed the slip case on Vol. 1, so I just went with the non-slip case edition for both volumes.
Boom has said the slaughterhouse deluxe editions will contain the skipped flashback arc.
Ohh yeah!!
Great, there are some issues missing in the vol 2. And I would hate to have dlx and tpb too.
What are the "slaughterhouse" editions? When are they coming?
@@thechinchillachannel8457House of Slaughter is the spinoff series. I assume the deluxe of those issues.
@thechinchillachannel8457 I'm not sure they've been officially announced, though

I wonder if that Tynion Kickstarter will have the covers in that SIKTC art book.
Tynion is a master of horror comics. Love everything he writes.
Just finished it, can't wait for 3rd deluxe one, hope it comes out fast!
Bough the book the day it came out, freaking loving this crazy series

Just ordered it...cheers Omar..!!
bought the book already but watching this anyway!

Hi man, what do you think about digital comics? Will they overcome the paper?
Not on my watch! :)
@@NearMintCondition why? what do you think about it?
@@NearMintCondition 🥲
What issues are collected in this edition?
Holy Schnikes! Im getting this! I gotta! I guess just go with the deluxe edition? i have the first book but I'm 99% sure it doesnt have a slipcase.
Cant wait to read this. The first one was great.
First book was fun, hopefully my preorder comes soon!
Spine in with this one btw!
It really bothers me that they don't include the covers, seriously can't they add 12 more pages to have them?
I haven't read volume 1 yet 😢
Isn’t it TIE-nin?

Just buy the first book. It tells a full story.
If u want you could get the single tpb, I'm pretty sure all the missing issues are in a single volume, that's what I'm thinking about doing.
@@CesarIsaacPerez I already have the first book and the 2nd coming in the mail.
@@bertfechner417 I'll probably just wait for the matching hardcover at this point, I've already waited this long, what's another year?
@@TheWisestWizards Then you could just read it. It's like a movie. I enjoyed it.
Seams like a waste to not include at least the regular cover instead of a black sheet of paper.
What a great way to reduce my interest in a collected edition ... skip issues. Tynion's a genius!
They're not being skipped, they're just being collected in a different order. The flashback arcs will be collected together in a later deluxe edition.

@@francoisdemorcy5084 oh no. lol. I'll read it to see, but I had my reservations about Once & Future.
Well if you have Deluxe 1. You gotta get 2 silly 🤓
Vol. 1 was way better imo
