At least she's consistent, once a nasty piece of work, always nasty. If you think the Tories are unpopular now, give her six months in charge and they'll be lucky to poll 20%. When people lose their sense of smell, the stench of corruption, accept that lying is OK, then they deserve to receive no respect whatever from the voters. The True Bad Enough (sic) is on display here, and it's a deeply unpleasant one, who's seemingly learned nothing as to why the Tories received their worst electoral defeat since 1832. If she keeps this up, she'll b gone in under 2 years and politics will be all the better for that. A truly revolting person..

She is just there to fill a hole. Tories will bide there time and see how Labour are doing and if services and economy have not moved they will slide in someone else in about 4 years who will proclaim they have changed and will bring back low taxes etc. If they are still massively behind after 4 years then they might approach Farage and try and drag back old members from Reform Party but that would be a desperate action.

Corbyn divided the left and centre left and opened the door to the Tories again, I think that the centre right and far right will now be divided between those that leave the Tories for Reform and those moderate Tories that don't want to endorse racists, misogynists and bigots. And hopefully see more votes depart the Tories for the Lib Dems or Labour. But it does depend on how successful the Tory disinformation campaign will be.

Unfortunately for her - she's going to be disappointed.
That interview was a sterling effort of her lying prowess, but the difference between her and Johnson is that a significant sector of the public (and media) tend to turn a blind eye to Johnson's gaffes and lies. Incidentally this is the same 'quality' bestowed on Trump and Farage. Badenoch cannot emulate Johnson, because the public won't be so easy on her.

My late partner was in a care home for the last 2 years of her life, from October 2021 until she passed in July 2023. I visited her frequently and for around a year, for most of the time, I was only able to speak to her via a screen, also I had to ring before going, as there were frequent outbreaks of Covid at the home, meaning visitors weren't allowed at all, sometimes for weeks at a time. Meanwhile these clowns were partying at Number 10. Unforgivable. Badenoch's lack of self awareness here is truly staggering, her obvious lack of empathy with others and her clear overrating of her own abilities will prove to be her downfall. I don't see her lasting 2 years as leader, the Tories always get rid of unpopular leaders, rather than let them face the electorate. The simple fact was that Sunak became Party leader by default, his own Party members had rejected him in favour of the useless Truss, so the rules were changed in the next leadership contest, effectively gerrymandering him into position. He got the job because, to put it simply, they'd completely run out of any other candidate deemed to be any more suitable.

She also says that MPs were not involved when the two most senior members in the government were fined. She talked about honesty and understanding why the electorate rejected the tories whilst not being prepared to discuss anything that caused the people to reject the tories. Another absolute clown.

“Simply churning over all our failures isn’t going to improve things.”
One of the biggest life lessons one can learn is to learn from your mistakes, but even that’s too much for Kemi.
The weight of 330,000 excess deaths due to their austerity and public spending cuts followed by quantitative easing for the private sector and not the public sector, their supply side labour marker reform depressing wages, the fallout over Brexit, Partygate and more on their shoulders.
They have so much blood on their hands that if Kemi wants to plainly ignore it, and on top of it fight an election on culture war issues like I know she’s obsessed with, she’s not got a hope in hell’s chance of becoming PM.
She talks later about “how standards slipped, we had policies that were not appealing to the public” yeah, because people’s top concerns in the election were the NHS and the cost of living.
Kemi is the personification of a car crash as a party leader. IMMEDIATELY she’s out of touch in her first interview!
