- Let me announce my new campaign project by not really announcing it: I’m just gonna show you the custom skins that will be included with the campaign - there’s a lot of them, and it’s up to you to figure out what it’s gonna be about.
I’m not going to respond to your guesses, there will be a separate announcement/ reveal video :)
Sounds like an 80s Red Flag 😊
Early 80's Red Flag was my first Hunch, too. I couldnt explain the Agressor F-5s. I expect this to be a Phantom campaign eventhough I hope its an F-5 one T_T. Id love to get a good campaign for that old hag of a module. With the Paintscheme of the hercs and Buffs I speculate that we will see at least one mission Taking place in the same context as the paradise lost campaign and I expect we will fly for the 336th tfs as Reflected has already proved that he adores 'em xD
Glad to see Canada finally getting some representation in DCS World campagins.

@@ReflectedSimulations If you need a Canadian to do voices, I can help out with that. I'm a true canuck.
@@andyepix1383 Awesome, I do! Can you please get in touch on Discord or pm me on the forums?
@@ReflectedSimulations Done.
If it was 433 Sqn I could help out, but nobody would understand the language.
I am just loving how much of a good creative headspace you seem to be in right now. You are the man, Reflected!
Keep em coming reflected! Love what you’re doing
Maj. Jay Rivers?
Isn't this a guy from the film "Operation Red Flag" from 1981?
He’s also a hip hop artist from Philly
@@ReflectedSimulations DCS: Cypress Hill confirmed!
The 80s movie was just red flag
Kinda reminds me of a nato documentary 4 days in autumn and just based on that I’m going to guess late 70s for the time period
The viper entered service in 1980 and the USN/USMC gull grey was standard until the low-vis transition ca. 1983-86. So early to mid 80s. I like the idea of a two-fer campaign with Nellis + Kola with the Cold War going hot. EDIT: VMFA-323 transitioned to the Hornet in late 1982, so we have a 3 year window (1980-1982).
Another comment said CF-5s participated in Red Flag, Feb 1981. So I'd probably guess there
Old man Rivers, old man Rivers....
It seems to run on some form of electricity
My dad was an ordnance tech for the 4th TFW out of Seymour Johnson. Instant purchase.
Beautiful liveries. Can't wait to use them.
F-35 campaign confirmed!
_FAT AMY!_
I wonder if this is a 2-parter like Speed & Angels? Obviously we’re spending some time at Nellis, but I’d be surprised if you did two training campaigns back to back.
Is it about Macho Man Randy Savages rise to stardom?
@@wavehopper4183 in a way 😆
@@ReflectedSimulations Hooooo yeh!
Red Flag interrupted by Cold War gone HOT I'm thinking.
80’s Maple Flag?
If we had the buccaneer in DCS, would we be seeing these feature being flown by 15 & 16 squadron crews in this campaign?
@@the88tench3 I would love the Buccaneer in DCS!
@@ReflectedSimulations same! There's some very good videos filmed from the back seat of buccaneers at Red Flag and interviews of pilots that flew them there
@@the88tench3 I watched them all as part of my research :)
@@ReflectedSimulations nice! I don't know if you've worked on the trailer yet, but some shots that look like those videos which were shot in super 8 cinefilm from the back seat of a buccaneer would be an awesome throwback to them and fit the theme of the campaign!
I wish we had the KC-135A...
Red Flag campaign for the F4E
Got to be 1980 to 82, that's when I started photographing planes.
Old man Rivers - Red flag 😂
Red Flag 81/2 or 83/2 ?
VFMA232 stopped flying the Phantoms in 82 so probably the first one.
Ah I see. The Canadian CF-5 took part in both which was why I couldn't make my mind up. After what you say, my guess would be Feb 1981 then.
I'm guessing early to mid 80s due to the liveries. As for location, I'm not sure, but I feel like maybe it's a campaign that will use multiple maps?
I’m curious what makes you think it’s not late 80s?
@@ReflectedSimulations VMFA-323 transitioned to Hornets in 1982
@@Tadeas_Plachy you’re good! 👏🏼
Adding to that, one A10 has 78-635 on its tail
So the timeframe can be narrowed down to 78-82.
Green hogs are best hogs! go some with the hog tusks too?
@@Schurem they do look much better than grey ones, don’t they?
Slight quibble about the Holloman F-15 scheme...even when they had full color national insignia, I don't think they ever had blue outlines on the bars. It was just the red stripe on the white bar with no outline.
I just rechecked my reference photos, and indeed you are right! I will fix it ASAP. Thanks for the heads up!
@@ReflectedSimulations Awesome! Yeah, when I was a kid, one of my favorite airplane books had 3-view art of a Holloman F-15A, and I remember those markings by heart! That style of insignia seemed peculiar to only F-15's of that era.
@@RocketToTheMoose It is peculiar, I haven't seen those anywhere. Maybe an early experiment to make them more low vis?
@@ReflectedSimulations No idea, especially since they still had the blue circle. And of course they still had the full color TAC and squadron shields too. Anyway, it seems like all the F-15A squadrons used this until they went to low viz (gray or black) version.
@@ReflectedSimulations Oh, and if you really want to get into the weeds, they often had the reddish-brown canopy bow and windshield bow (which was apparently unpainted, anodized aluminum). I'm not sure when the stopped doing that, though.
Is the Campaign going to include both Tomcat & Phantom II missions? I'd better buy the F-4 then.
you'd better buy the f-4 by any means because it's absolute next level.
@@ejb6822 getting it soon. seeing all the hype i'm certain it is worth it :)
@@ejb6822 That's good to hear. Will porting over some of its features to the F-14 make the TOmcat next level?
@@cameron1975williams it's mostly about the visceral aspects of the module. it feels extremely alive which makes it hard to return to other modules, because absolutely all of them feel very "plastic" after the f-4.
I am Hyped!
Some kind of Flag Campaign would be my guess
Sounds like a late 1970s Red Flag
D1B for me!!
(day one buy)
I think most of those are misleading. The campaign is a 1980s carrier boss, swaeting out the missions, staying in the new carrier room. The captain will teach us how to drive the boat!
Looks cool, but I was hoping for WWII🤣
Who said it’s not WW2? ;)
@@ReflectedSimulations Final Countdown 2: Electric Boogaloo?
RedFlag 80 ,sure 😍😍😍
À Vietnam 🇻🇳 Map à day ??😍😍
I can believe there are NO PICS AT ALL from an 80s Redflag, the perimeter fence Used to be 50 yrds from the EOR. THERE had to be a bunch of local photographers going to the fences back then. And yet i can't find one pic from any of them.
Maple flag?
obviously i-16 south atlantic nightops campaign
Digital Mismatch Asset Simulator !
Viggen campaign in Kola? ;)
Nah, but one can wish
GOOOOOD MOOORNING VIETNAAAAAM!!!!!!!!!!!
No map for it T_T
I know you cant reply about what the campaign will actually be but those skins look really cool, i love the SIOP skin for the b-52 (i have a feeling this is an able archer related campaign but we will see)
It’s a great skin indeed, fantastic job by Stackup
love it!
Give the time frame, especially the E-3 and F-15As as well as Canada s involvement I m gonna say red flag either 79 or 81
Top Gun: Maverick’s father
@@mattmatt350 I’d love a movie like that!
The only place these sad little CAF CF116 were slated to go in case of war was NATO's northern flank, namely Norway. But with all the other stuff, including Nellis... well it's a Red Flag. Pre-1982.
*** ALL THE FOLLOWING IS WRONG - JUST KEPT SCROLLING **
Hi Reflected if you add the PBR texture with the same name that the albedo but with "_roughmet.dds" in the ends DCS will automatically detect it as an PBR texture and use it over the specular one. (For example: color = "Texture.dds" Custom PBR = "Texture_roughmet.dds") -- The hard part is make the AO pass without access to the 3D model but it's not imposible.
Pabst Blue Ribbon is a way of life, not a texture sir.
Thankss, I know, but it’s not something I can ‘enforce’ on players, so it would only look right for those who have the mod installed
@@ReflectedSimulations You do not need a mod. when you create the liverie you just need to make the roughmet texture intead of the specular. The game will automatically use that texture
@@patriciomassun okay thanks, will try!
@@patriciomassun in the description.lua, do I still mark them as speculars or roughmets?
I would guess a Cold War 1970 ish in Norway. Ver USSR
@@tiger_1airsoft65 even if I’m already working on a West va Russia campaign on the Kola map? (Arctic Thunder)
Wild guess Vietnam! But that would mean there is a Vietnam map in the works considering you said you would only do a Vietnam campaign if there was a Vietnam map to use it in ! Now I know you will be commenting that what about the more modern jets but he did say there will be some misleading info in there ! B52 Bombing runs in there ! Just speculation thats all ! One thing for sure if it comes from Reflected you know it will be amazing ❤
more than half of these aircrafts didn't take part in the vietnam war 😂
ED reallly do need to remodel a lot of the AI models, the C-17 looks terrible.
1980s deffo
Podías hacer campañas con traducción al Español, u otros idiomas muy hablados (aunque fuese solo los subtítulos). Así más gente las compraría. Es una sugerencia
Boring
Life is pain (au chocolat)
life is indeed painful and boring
@@ReflectedSimulations ah i'm glad you solved this old french civil war, once and for all 😂
I’d love to see you try your hand at campaign making then 😜
I wonder if this is a 2-parter like Speed & Angels? Obviously we’re spending some time at Nellis, but I’d be surprised if you did two training campaigns back to back.
