John Abraham is an football enthusiastic since his early days and his contribution for northeast united is immense maybe it will take to India to be a household name in football but it would take time since its not a one day process
before 1983... Football and Hockey we're Popular many thought that India will host 2014 FIFA WC and it'll qualify for that too. After 1983's ICC WC, India changed totally. NO HATE TO ICC or Cricket but that's FACT. POLITICS IS ALSO THE REASON.
Although being from a separate profession, its the passion which counts and makes you knowledgeable about a particular genre/subject and more importantly by going depth it makes you clear in mind about what exactly is the necessity of the hour. That's what exactly is john delivering in this podcast. We surely need more people like him to encourage and uplift footballing culture in India & to see our nation excel at international stage.
He is very correct in this. The problem with ISL clubs is everyone is taking the easy route of trading players instead of producing players. What we have now is a marketplace of players but what we actually need is a factory, aka football academies.
