Tell me what you use and how they work for you. As well as, any experience you have that would help me as start using these on the trail.

Hi; just subscribed. I got a pair of wire coiled ones without spikes. They made a bit of difference. I slipped on ice during a run. MAN, that landing hurt!😫Thanks for sharing this with us. I hope you do more videos. Take care!👋🏽👨🏾‍⚕️🏞️🏃🏾‍♂️

Yeah, I saw the coiled ones and wondered about their effectiveness. I had seen a lot of positive stuff about the spiked ones which is why I went this way. I did notice that on relatively flat ice and hard packed snow these work great. On a side slope, I noticed them starting to slide a bit to the side. I think I would need full one hiking crampons for heavy mountaineering.
I have a few more hiking videos that I'm editing and will get in some good trips this spring and summer that I'll be videoing.

What size are those xero alpines? I have same boots and looking to buy exact spikes, my shoes are eu40/us9 and confused of sizing of those spikes between M 36-40 or L 40-44 since these arent that big winter boots.

My Alpines are EU42 and the Large fit very nicely. Easy on, not too tight, with a bit of give still to be able to take a larger boot if needed.

Would these wear down quickly if walking on asfalt with ice etc. I’m looking for something which helps avoid slipping on ice and snow. Where I live there is a mild amount of snow and ice but enough to make walking quite slow since one is always weary of not falling.

The spikes are about 1/4" long and made of a nice stainless steel. They will wear down over time if doing a lot of road walking where they are in direct contact with the road surface. If they are mostly on ice and snow they will last a very long time. For mixed conditions I would give them a try and see what you think and how they feel. They are cheap enough that it would probably be worth it for the better footing and increase safety.
