I was in the Marine Corps for years and the most healthiest years of my life due to proper nutrition and exercise. After being wounded and now a owner operator truck driver I am 50lbs over weight and my options of clean nutrition are limited. This video is definitely inspirational as i can’t make it to a grocery store. What would be interesting for me and probably others but going to a truck (Pilot, Flying J, Loves and or TA) and tell us “over the road” people what to eat or not to eat. The reason our exercise is damn near nonexistent. Your an inspiration thank you for what you do.

I feel your struggle. Never being home you have to get creative with meals. We just order salads wherever we go, never order sodas. Great option is buying salads at a grocery store and adding nuts and seeds to it. But again, avoid sodas at all costs!
Exercise at the rest stops. Stretch and maybe go for a walk before hitting the road

Oh cool, I'm a new driver within the last few months, who went keto two years ago and lost 70 lbs., and subsequently ran into this dilemma too OTR. I liked how Pilot had more salad options, and was thrilled when I discovered Carl's Jr. had wraps, but I have to agree that it's not ideal day-in and day-out nutritionally-- or for my budget lol. I plan to have some healthy cuts of meat and salad to make my own variations, along with some tuna (with added mayo for the right fat-protein ratio,), etc. Still experimenting, given the lack of fridge space, etc. lol.

    Good video.
Unfortunately I can definitely relate to your McDonald's Quarter Pounder story. I live in Vancouver and we have only one Krispy Kreme Donut place here, and 2 years ago when I weighed 360 lbs I would wake up early and drive first thing in the morning to the only Krispy Kreme and order 1 or sometimes even 2 dozen of their glazed donuts, making sure I would be there before 8:30 A.M. so I could get them while they were still hot or warm.
(No wonder I had HbA1c levels of 14 - 22 mmol/L, and ended up in the hospital for 6 months with a severe heel ulcer from T2 Diabetes that needed 2 surgical debridements)
Since leaving the hospital I've lost 91 lbs (so far) doing Keto + IF + either OMAD or 2MAD.
Also my HbA1c levels have dropped to levels of 4.8 - 5.4 mmol/L now.
I still have a long way to go to reach my goal weight of 183 - 185 lbs; but I feel great, my Peripheral Neuropathy in my legs and feet is improving - as is my balance - and I'm never looking or especially NEVER GOING BACK!
I was sick and tired of always being SICK and TIRED!

When you about getting the Quarter Pounders at McDonald's and driving across town to eat them in peace somewhere else during your heaviest time in your life, I can totally relate. What I was pregnant with my second son I reached 215 lb, and that summer I would get the Whoppers from Burger King when they were two for $5. I just couldn't talk myself into spending nearly $5 for a single burger when I could get two for five. I bought both burgers, and I knew if I brought the other Burger home to my husband he would give me hell for the food that I was ... so I ate them both. I would throw the bag away somewhere else other than home so he would not even see it in my car. By his first birthday I had lost 100 lb and was happy with myself again. Now in my mid thirties I have two more sons and my weight is now at 150 lb and I'm not happy with it at all. I know that fast food is not something we should do all of the time and not the greatest place to eat, but I am glad that you did this video. As a truck driver, I do cook in my truck A LOT but there are times when the truck is in the shop and I have no other option but fast food or I am in a rush and have to eat. Being diabetic and controlling diabetes through diet, I am unable to miss meals. So this video is very helpful when I do have to eat outside the truck. I am sure it will help many other people who are trying to eat clean and low-carb but are in a rush. Thank you.
Oh, Chipotle is my favorite. I have ordered delivery (they are not semi-truck friendly) from them a few times and I love that they have bowel options. Very rare for a Mexican restaurant.

Also Dickey's BBQ has meat options like brisket, chicken and sausage so long as you don't slather with BBQ sauce!

I really love your channel after discovering it yesterday. I’m not attempting any keto diets or anything. I’ve just been exercising and trying soo hard to change eating around but I’m learning a lot. I also sympathize with the McDonald’s runs.
