Thank you for posting, kostiq. I was lucky to listen to Kogan's live performances twice. He performed with his daughter, Nina. Very moderate and humble man. Kogan has musical family. His wife, Elisaveta Gilels, was also an excellent vioIinist in her own right. I have not heard for long time of their son, Pavel, who started also as a violinist but later turned to conducting. Does anybody know what is he doing now?
And you are not wrong, my good fellow. I boldly say he is and was the best ever.You can have opinions about other violinists who are equal. But there is no comparison to be made here. He IS the best.
