Without a doubt, the coolest boss in the game. I was already blown away by how good his entrance and OST were and seeing this video makes me love this boss even more.
Psalm 23, a passage my parents would read to me whenever I was going through something extremely difficult in my life. To hear it here is so surreal. Not unexpected given the themes of the game, but definitely surreal.
I gotta say, Dogma is a well designed boss, even the ideology behind it that "The television is the only thing you can shut out, as it broadcasts and protects the dogma, that the beliefs cannot be criticised or controverted until no one can observe it anymore" Such as "the dogma is untouched until no one blindly trusts or sees it" And the second form, the Seraphim and "wheel form" ophanim are depicted accurately to biblical representation and creeped most players out shows how Household beliefs of this dogma can be even scarier but can be rejected (shown by Dogma being damageable in this phase and not the first phase) This boss has a deep, disturbing and intimidating design, followed by all the incarnations of why people would reject religion, the incontrovertible design of it, the perverse and disturbing forms of religious accuracy, and that honestly makes this boss one of my favourites, but... Keep that shit away from me
You don't have to reject religion in order to see the bad side of it. I've been a Christian my whole life, but even at a young age I saw there were bad or insincere people in my faith.

A special synergy if you have brim and get to the beast maybe because did you know that when you go into the beast fight it gives you an item which gives you holy mantle and flight flight so if you don’t have it you don’t fall into the lava because of crawlspace physics and holy mantle because why not so if you have brim it turns it staticy

He has 4 wings makes 4 glitchy faces, like the cherubim, and he fights, I am pretty sure seraphs just praise god but gods chariot uses the thrones(Ophanim) angel wheels and is surrounded by cherubim probably in the same way kings and queens have guards around them
I don't know why, but each time I hear or remember that psalm, I want to cry or just feel gloomy. It's odd cause, I remember repeating this psalm before bed or when leave the house early in the morning to go jog. I don't know why it makes me so emotional now.
The sound design on Dogma is outstanding, It's been a while since I have seen a bossfight this unique and badass. The Isaac Team's focus on Dogma's art direction really paid off because now it is considered by a lot of the community (and me) to be the best boss in the game right now.
You know how Rebirth had Brimstone sounds that sounded powerful and it was one of the strongest items? Yup, Dogma has even more powerful one. And how he reads part of The Bible with that guy who was recording those little stories from DOOM4's voice... His SFX just sound so powerful!

Unfortunately, without pulling the audio out the same way the muffled voices in BIG SHOT were, that's impossible. Those preachers are actually *in* the song itself; it's not a separate audio lump. (or maybe it is and some people just haven't bothered to pull the .ogg from the files.)

They're pretty quiet and Living In The Light is a pretty loud and percussive theme, so it gets drowned out easily.

The fact that the voicelines only get louder when dogma initiates an attack really adds dimension to the sound.
