This is so cool, Chris, and it's clear you were enjoying this as much as anything. You made me smile as you walked around commenting, and laughing. Thank you!
I've always known it to be Shoney's big boy. Shoneys used to be a chain restaurant but I think alot of them are gone now. So you are probably right, he'll probably never be used again
@@tashasmith6179 Sometimes chain restaurants go by different names in different regions. For instance, Carl's Jr. is Hardee's outside of the west. Bob's Big Boy out here in southern California may have indeed been called something else in other parts of the U.S. There are only four of them left out here and I'm pissed.
Wow. Are you ever bringing back memories. In the late 60s and early 70s we’d vacation in northern Wisconsin. My sister and my favorite part was passing through Sparta where the original factory was in town. They had an entire yard of completed statues, not the molds. We thought they were so cool as kids.
How awesome! I lived in Wisconsin 27 years and didn't know of this place! Even been to Sparta.....thanks Chris, you never disappoint! I was hoping for more content from the uk.
Wahoo! You’re in Wisconsin!! Hopefully you see a lot of it, Al Capone has a house in Brookfield and there’s a ton of cool stuff in Milwaukee obviously!!! Laura Ingells Wilder (Little house on the prairie) also has ties in Brookfield!
My friend has one of the shoe casts. I remember it was on wheels so it was a skate, and would be in parades for a local skating rink when he and I were kids. It had a little motor, so it could be driven. Through a series of events, he came to own it. Still in pretty decent shape too.
Elsie the cow...was it ice cream or milk? Both maybe, ads on TV and magazines. I believe Mayfield also used a cow but I recognized Elsie. In 1939 Elsie won " best of the year ". Ok, so I had to look it up on Wikipedia. 😁 Elsie had a mate and 3 friends who appeared in the ads also. Wikipedia also provides information about Mayfield. Their cow was named Maggie beginning in the 1970s. In 2010 they had a naming contest for their latest cow. Thank you so much for bringing up my memories . Wow... Creature from the Black Lagoon... Lol, fabulous.
That "conversation piece" comment piqued curiosity. Tends to make one wonder how much actual effort over the years was given to sell off some of that stuff. That video showed QUITE A FEW of those which would look REAL COOL in someone's yard. (Examples being in those guitars and that "Mount Rushmore-looking thing" especially). Nice vid! Not something one sees every day. VERY unique! Many thanks! 😀👍🙏🙌📣🥳😁
Hi Chris, what a bizarre place, a very innovative idea to turn it into a kind of abandoned looking attraction, very cool. Thank you for sharing, much love. xx ❤
Awesome, very interesting. Thank you, Chris. I really liked the boots. But it sure would be interesting to have something like one of those in your yard. For instance, the elephant. We have a small yard so I'm sure the comments from the neighbors would fly. Haha.
It looks like a graveyard for whoever the manufacturer of that big boy we remember so fondly!! But it looks like that manufacturer was huge. The horses are for carousel. And I'm only a quarter of the way thru this video!! 😮😁 So back to it!!!
8:50 Giant skull 💀 be great for your Halloween decoration 🎃 ! 9:08 Larry, Curry, Moe , and (Shemp)? 11:20 Christmas Land 🎄? (Who knows. Used to be an amusement park by that name.)
One of them looks like it could have been the mold for the bull for the Vestal steakhouse Bull that sat on the roof of the steakhouse in Vestal NY (upstate NY.) Not the big bull he mentioned but a smaller one.
Very cool! Thanks for stopping snd sharing!

Without question that was Big Boy. Unfortunately, it will probably never be used again.

How cool was that. Very fun place to visit. Cruising Bob's Big boy. Pasadena, California. Looking for the boys 🤣 Thanks for sharing.
This low-key terrifying yet interesting
Thank you, Chris! ❤
Some of those smaller horses look like old playground equipment
another cool and unusual video...thank you for bringing us along with you on your journey.
I loved that place! I could get lost for hours there. Thanks again for taking me along
Wow! I would love to see how it’s made.
There's a place in South Carolina called South of the Border that displays several of these types of statues, or whatever they are called.
My friend has one of the shoe casts. I remember it was on wheels so it was a skate, and would be in parades for a local skating rink when he and I were kids. It had a little motor, so it could be driven. Through a series of events, he came to own it. Still in pretty decent shape too.
LOVED this episode !! Well taken cared property too. Imagine when Future Archeologists dig these up and go huh?
Never knew this place existed! Thanks for the tour.
What very unique find! Thank you!❤️😊🙏
So glad you found those and made video of them. Thank you sure is different.

I really enjoyed this walk with you. Thanks for taking me to such great places.
That's quite fascinating.
It's fun to see where you'll pop up next Chris! Love your channel...thank you!
Wow thanks for this tour! Real amazing items!
I believe after they take the molds off after the fiberglass dries they sand it smooth where the seams from the molds are
I love your content so much. Its always a new adventure with you. Thank you for sharing! ❤
Thank you!
Omg, that elephant ❤️ loved this video!!
They would have been carved in styrofoam by the artist , then covered in fibreglass to give it structure and body then they could be used as moulds
I love the shoe house. Looks like one they used to have somewhere at a park in New Jersey. And that's shoneys big boy for sure
I think the painted ones are one-off sculptures while the earlier ones are indeed molds to mass fabricate pieces.
That was fun!
This is what I always say you find and bring things I never heard of to your channel
Those are so cool! They would make awesome movie props!
Hi Chris, what a bizarre place, a very innovative idea to turn it into a kind of abandoned looking attraction, very cool.
Thank you for sharing, much love. xx ❤
Wow Chris, amazing
What a cool place!
That was a interesting tour... First for me! Thanks! 😃
Probably molds for parks
I have no idea what you do or how I came across your videos but thanks for taking me along to bizarre vacation spots while I'm stuck at home sick.
In my life I have never seen such a thing…… wow totally awesome!!!!!!!!😳😳😳😳
That place is awesome
I think the wolf might be used for the Stoney Creek motel sign. I live about 15 minutes from Sparta and have never seen this place til now lol
Miniature golf pieces?
Great video Sir. Very interesting
You're in my area.
The Wisconsin Dells is nearby so a lot of the work they do is for the water parks and attractions and camp grounds.
Wow!
Man I need to see this place, soo cool
In the building right there they make all these things that's where they store the molds. I'm from La Crosse just a few miles away
Loved it! Thsnks
Check out the largest 6 pack that's in La Crosse, WI on 3rd street. Short drive from Sparta.
Awesome, very interesting. Thank you, Chris. I really liked the boots. But it sure would be interesting to have something like one of those in your yard. For instance, the elephant. We have a small yard so I'm sure the comments from the neighbors would fly. Haha.
Crazy!
👍👍👍
Some good puns 👌
Wow! So cool. I live in Wisconsin and I didn’t even realize this place existed. Great video!
I also live in Wisconsin and never knew it existed..
wonder where sparta is in wisc, never heard of it, west wisc, never been there, very interesting, thnx tour, neat
Well that was definitely unusual and different🪦

Christmas Land 🎄?
(Who knows. Used to be an amusement park by that name.)
Maybe some of the smaller animals were for a carousel. They sand seams.

Damn your back from the Uk lol was hoping you’d show more of the place
See anything that had "NCC-1701" on it? 😋
That is the Muffler Man!
Maybe some for movie sets
Shoneys
Was that a coffin enclosure for burial next to the 4-wheeler?
Maybe just meant as some kind of odd art. Real life jaws lol....anything like "Baby Shark"?
Nice Coverage
🥀🍄🇮🇳🍄🥀
10:33😅😅
How do you find these places
An interesting toilet🤣🤣🤣
how do you find these things to go see ? you have found the long lost of so many thing
Wierd....watchout for spiders.
Yeah when I seen that fiberglass bull I would paint it red and put it in front of a store and put words on it saying drink red bull.
thank you for that nightmare fuel
Working on this stuff can be very harmful to the lungs etc.. Cool find tho.
be a frichs big boy out there
Kinda depressing too.. bc none of that stuff and everything they punched out of them, is biodegradable.
They could be used in put put golf.
What state you in now
👍🏻✌🏻
Where is this at,
Sparta, Wisconsin
I think these are prototypes and the real one is made from them
Is Noah's ark there too ?
Do you have tic tok? Would love to follow if you do 😊 thanks
Pretty sure I saw one of Biden in there. Always knew he was a hollow shell.
Meow
You are here too?👎
I’m everywhere.
Very cool Chris.
