Well thank you man, I enjoy making the videos. I started making them because nobody would make videos of progress and upload them to UA-cam. But really thank you much for the support, I Appreciate it.
Nathan Gilmore Well I didn’t buy any tickets because I thought I was supposed to move into college that weekend, so I didn’t. But of course they moved classes to online, so I might try and stop by on a public road to catch the train.
hey is there a track that comes off of the coal dock track it looks like when you were walking down the grade there was a track turning off into the woods over ur shoulder at the 7:36 time looks like rail going into the woods
No there is not any trackage that goes off into the woods, the track you were seeing is the track that goes up to the coal tipple/bin. If you look on the public east broad top railroad facebook website look through there stuff and you will find some old pictures of the track leading up there.
You folks have done in the past six months what is short of a miracle. Had you had not had restrictions you would have done more if the world stands you will one day run to mt union maybe even run the standard gage engine there.
Well the only problem with that is the foundation does not own the trackage in Mt Union. They only own up to the arch bridge before the yard, and we do not own the standard gauge locomotive there. However I'm sure that in the future they will work on getting the property and locomotive figured out, but for now we are just trying to get the trackage to Colgate Grove finished and get 14 and 16 operating, once there done with that I believe they plan on starting to extend the line farther, but I can't tell you for sure.

Larry Salone will be the "Bad Apple" in the basket in trying to renovate the EBT all the way to Mt. Union. I think the original sale of a section that was a dual gauged by the Kovilchick family was wrong and a very bad idea, However................ No matter how bad that sale deal was, I think it finally lit a fire under some important people's asses that if something wasn't done soon to buy & preserve the EBT, that it would almost certainly be sold off piecemeal, section by section and locomotive by locomotive for other "tourist operations". As for what Mr. Salone promised in his purchase, He did about 10% of what he promised and nothing more has happened with his venture. He is an opportunist to say the least and he is not a welcoming benefit to the preservation of the EBT Railroad. The name Benedict Arnold comes too my my mind now as well as some other 'choice" words. I digress
Yes true but in 1954 #16 had a large overhaul before it was put away, and #14 and #16 were evaluated and we're found to be in the best shape out of the six Mikado.
Really enjoying the updates from each session!

Nathan Gilmore Definitely! The only updates I would see were on Facebook. Glad to see actual video of the progress!
Do you plan on coming to the event this week

And how are $14 & #16 due up for running next? #15 was the last to have a overhaul and be certified to run. #16 hasn't run since 1954 !!

It’s starting to look like 1950
It sure is friend, it sure is.
