My wife is a registered nurse and she was EVHs recovery room nurse. She got him to autograph one of her guitars.

Aw man, this one really hits hard. RIP Dime. Pantera used a few different tunings - earlier stuff was E-standard and occasionally drop D. Later albums had more songs that were D-standard. But they didn't tune spot on to 440hz.

I came into the store while Dane was playing this one......volume was loud enough to hear him playing it outside the store. I got to see the finished product and definitely hear it. In some guitar shops you walk into a sales floor and tell right away they are there to move product.......Zimm's, you walk into a players space just waiting for a jam session. Great job on this one and really appreciate the extra steps you take in cleaning. It never fails if I am setting up at a gig the dude that just got done eating a jelly donut asks if he can check out my guitar.....

Gotta go for the lemon donut. You can use the filling to bring the luster out on the rosewood fretboards. And the powdered sugar will make your hand sliiiide up and down the neck freely. Speed increases of up to 13%.

deans are worth so much now, this dime o flame would go for $1200+ brand new, i had a mate from Aus buy a dean dime slime and with a hardcase it cost $2500 from dean when they did the dime models years ago...
i have a deep love for these dean ml guitars, they feel so nice to play and just rock in every setting..

18yr old me was in love with that guitar. I still like it but the flame job is a lil much for me now as an adult lol. RIP DIME!!! I think it was E flat 425hz at least on cowboys from hell.

Some D standard too (Walk, I’m Broken). Dime was a hell of a player and a great dude.

I typically don’t do many pointy guitars, but I’ve been waiting for a good price on a Dimebag guitar. I love how the ML is half explorer, half V shaped.

Another cool video from Zimm's! Those suckers are pretty pricey on Reverb. Crazy how hot those pickups are running at, they would pretty melt the amp, lol. Tuned down to D seems to be appropriate for that guitar. Love the preview, can't wait to see those other guitars!

The Floyd Rose Special string blocks & saddles are a zinc alloy. There is a good chance they will crack from wear or overtighteninmg the lock screw. If ever one wanted to replace tremolo parts - go with harder maetals (if you can afford it). The Floyd Rose Original\Korean\Schaller use steel saddles and string blocks and you can find some 3rd party as well but be careful of Amazon etc.

pretty Shure Dime would toss the back plates just to drive Grady nuts, I don't know if that guitar even shipped with one, as far as they went with some of the details like solder-ironing the knobs and a Bill Lawrence clone at the bridge , cool video with Grady Champion showing how Dime would rob pick ups from his other guitars to use in ones he was beating on at the time , I'm sure in the beginning he had a stack of real deal Bill Lawrence pickups made for him ( I know an artist that had Bill make him around 100 of the bridge humbuckers , his story was that he tossed like 50% of them from the start just keeping the ones that made the tone cut fast forward he only has a handful left not already installed , I helped him install one and that's when he told me the story.. ) and as the years went on the result was catabolism , the show must go on ..the video is when Ola Englund visits Dimes' house and Grady gives him the guitar vault tour, great video it's on Ola's UA-cam channel .. You will see what I'm talking about with the back plates and pickups missing ... , Cool looking guitars though , I have always liked that paint job, and the Dime Slime shape ..

I'm still missing the whammy bar O'ring, but I'm not putting BBQ sauce on any fretboard because of that. Watercooling was the cause, maybe. Stay dazed about it. I don't know. Namastè.

Dropped D tuning is E standard tuning with the low E string tuned to D. That is all. only one string. #Dtuna...

Damn you know Darrell really hated that name~
"Dimebag". He liked Diamond Darrell. A friend of mine knew him. (OHNOES shameless shill that i am, dropping names!?!?) 😬 Uh huh.
Nah. People like Darrell, he was just a really good guy, totally music driven.
Ive had some V's, love the Ibanez Destroyers &
    the Explorer too.
    This one, not as much.
Everyone needs to play the guitars that do it for them. 😎 LOL, Obviously!
I found this very old bottle of a beeswax/oil mix made for those ancient piano's, like '20's or so. Fretboards just love it.😎🎸🎼

It's a set neck, not a neck-thru. Cowboys From Hell was in standard E while the rest of the albums were 425Hz, which is not quite a half step down. This could be because that was an Eddie Van Halen thing and Vinnie & Dime were huge Van Halen fans. As far as pricing, around $575 to $700 bucks depending on how fast you wanna move it. Great guitar but the licensed Floyd Rose leaves a little to be desired. Nice playing demo Boomer. :P

I'm not a dime fan. Sorry. I always wanted a dean ml but everyone attributes that model to dime bag. You just can't even have a normal ml without that connotation. I have an ibanez iceman and can't get away from the paul stanley association. It's kind of a shame that I, as a guitarist have a stigma playing guitars that are known to be played by certain people. Everyone is bound to assume I play a certain way because of the guitar. If I play a les paul nobody thinks I play jazz. What's the deal? I can play jazz or metal or what have you on any guitar. I've stayed away from owning certain models just so I'm not lumped it with artists that I have no influence from for better or worse. I dig the shape but I'm not 12. I don't want flames or apocalypse, skulls and lightning bolts on my guitar. I know they make regular ml models but you're stuck with, " hey, dime bag!" If you you play one. I just don't like Pantera. Kind of a bummer when a guitar is just not worth having because of player recognition. I have a dean explorer and love it. I have a 3 bucker ibanez destroyer and constantly get berated with, " hey, Phil collen". It can be frustrating.

The reason you reverse string with the balls at the top…one less place to jab yourself with and bleed all over the guitar…😅😅😅
