      @@kevans2809 I don't know what you're tripping on, but unless you were going for some very deep irony and failing at it, you're kind of defeating the purpose of the song. Like, every single line of it. Think of it as "Peace on Earth, good will to all."

    This is such a lovely song.
    I grew up Christian and I was always the "earthy hippie girl" in my family. Long story short, this past March, I came out of the broom closet to them as a Christo-Pagan. Thankfully, they were accepting of it, as I'd hoped they'd be. It's wonderful when people of different spiritual traditions can come together and realize that, at the end of the day, it all comes down to love. Namaste and blessed be! + )O(

      What's a Christo-Pagan?

    • @sheev11
      @sheev11 6 років тому +2

      Most likely Pagan with Christ worked in. Most Pagans work with a God and a Goddess pair. They might take Christ and Mary in some of their Circle Worship.

      Yes, you're right. Christo-Pagans work Christ (or other Christian elements/figures) into their practice. And while in terms of my spiritual beliefs, I identify now more as Wiccan, I will still invite the Christ and/or Mary Magdalene into my circle if I feel their energies wish to be included, like how you'd include old friends in a gathering.

      @@AliciaNyblade You might like the Gospel According To Mary [Magdalene]. The translation and commentary by Karen King is excellent. It's usually called a "gnostic" gospel today, but King and others have challenged the analytic validity and utility of this category. Unlike the early Gospel According To Thomas, this one was likely written well after the canonical gospels, but still before they became canonical. Blessed be.

      True Christianity is the antithesis of paganism, by definition. The Almighty cannot accept worship of any other gods beside himself, because he is the only one.
      God created the Earth and all things in it. The modern Christian has mostly lost their connection to the Earth and the proper utilization of herbs, but worship of any entity other than God Almighty himself is wrong, and contrary to true Christianity.

    My favorite holiday song. It's simply not winter and not time to put up the tree until this song is on. This year I look forward to teaching it to my three year old who will love it.

    Amber called her uncle, said "We're up here for the holiday,
    Jane and I were having Solstice, now we need a place to stay."
    And her Christ-loving uncle watched his wife hang Mary on a tree,
    He watched his son hang candy canes all made with red dye number three.
    He told his niece, "It's Christmas Eve, I know our life is not your style,"
    She said, "Christmas is like Solstice, and we miss you and its been awhile,"
    So the Christians and the Pagans sat together at the table,
    Finding faith and common ground the best that they were able,
    And just before the meal was served, hands were held and prayers were said,
    Sending hope for peace on earth to all their gods and goddesses.
    The food was great, the tree plugged in, the meal had gone without a hitch,
    Till Timmy turned to Amber and said, "Is it true that you're a witch?"
    His mom jumped up and said, "The pies are burning," and she hit the kitchen,
    And it was Jane who spoke, she said, "It's true, your cousin's not a Christian,"
    "But we love trees, we love the snow, the friends we have, the world we share,
    And you find magic from your God, and we find magic everywhere."
    So the Christians and the Pagans sat together at the table,
    Finding faith and common ground the best that they were able,
    And where does magic come from? I think magic's in the learning,
    'Cause now when Christians sit with Pagans only pumpkin pies are burning.
    When Amber tried to do the dishes, her aunt said, "Really, no, don't bother."
    Amber's uncle saw how Amber looked like Tim and like her father.
    He thought about his brother, how they hadn't spoken in a year,
    He thought he'd call him up and say, "It's Christmas and your daughter's here."
    He thought of fathers, sons and brothers, saw his own son tug his sleeve, saying,
    "Can I be a Pagan?" Dad said, "We'll discuss it when they leave."
    So the Christians and the Pagans sat together at the table,
    Finding faith and common ground the best that they were able,
    Lighting trees in darkness, learning new ways from the old, and
    Making sense of history and drawing warmth out of the cold.

    Always makes me smile in a knowing way unfortunately it wont last unless the christians cut from their bible all the references to killing Pagans most in OT
    and Pagans cut the first page of Gospel of Aradia out of course no Pagan would follow that

    Those darn solstice-celebrating pagan lesbians

    • @T4nkcommander
      @T4nkcommander 2 роки тому

      If it was just that it would be abominable to God, but not immediately problematic in the physical realm. Unfortunately, pagan rituals have involved human (mostly child) sacrifice since the Watchers first descended on Mount Hermon and created the Nephilim.
      You can't justify human sacrifice no matter how try. Pagans, occultists, et al express love for all, but killing someone else is never love. Do What Thou Wilt violates someone else's will, meaning such a tenant untenable (excuse the pun).

  • @T4nkcommander
    @T4nkcommander 3 роки тому

    Thankfully more and more Christians are waking up to the wool that's been pulled over their eyes.
    God created the solstices, and while Christmas is a pagan holiday, it doesn't change the fact Jesus died for our sins.

    • @T4nkcommander
      @T4nkcommander 2 роки тому

      @@ashwayn Jesus has much history, even outside the Bible in secular texts.
      The Almighty God, who rules over all the lesser gods pagans worship. These lesser gods are simply fallen angels, who descended upon Mount Hermon in antiquity and mated with human women. The masquerade as gods for a time, but their time grows short.

      Jesus dying for sins was an Easter thing. If you're gonna steal our holidays at least remember what stories you plastered on them

    • @T4nkcommander
      @T4nkcommander 2 роки тому

      @@LeakyTrees Nope, although the death took place around that time specifically because of the pagan significance of Ishtar/Ashtoreth/Innara and the fertility cults. Same reason Jesus was so active all over Mount Hermon and the surrounding region. All the counterfeit gods (who make up the pagan pantheons, mind you) descended there as described in Genesis 6:4. Jesus literally stomped all over their territory showing how little power they truly had.
      Case in point - Jesus dominated the storm god Baal in Galilee. Jesus calmed his storms with a word of rebuke and then promptly walked on the body of water that supposedly is the portal to the underworld - another shot at Baal and a number of other entities I'm certain you are familiar with.

      @@T4nkcommander ah so your entire defense is "my book says this" well then my book says odin kicks ass and is the all father. Anyways, I have Christian family and they say that Christmas is about the birth of Christ and Easter is about his rebirth, so maybe you should learn more about your fake holidays and get it straight. It's bad enough that you steal our culture but now you're mixing up your own stories?
