It is independent suspension and Richard Parry Jones. mk1 Focus is perfect fwd car even today. mk2 Focus steering is a bit better. But what made mk1 Focus apart is Control Blade rear suspension and chassis progressivnes and comunication; plus all new engines made for mk1 chassis. mk4 golf at that time felt like tractor in compare. mk1 Focus is one of best Fords ever. period.

The 1.8 is probably the most balanced of petrol family. I tested this engine a lot of years ago in a Mondeo and It worked very well. Good test Joe!!! BTW If you can find a Focus MK1 ST 170 or RS It would be great!!!!

I own a 2004 ZTW! Mine is a slushbox automatic unfortunately but the handling is very, very good. Great suspension, reasonably quick with the 2.3L Duratec. Same silver color and alloy wheels as your example. A good car.

My Dad Still Has his Mk2 1.6 115HP its now 15 years old he bought it when it was 2.5 years old and still Reliable and the Boot Space his amazing he had a e46 320i Touring before which barely had more room and was just unreliable it had over half the value of the car at the time in repairs and the car was 6 years old . The Focus as only needed a new Exhaust ,Brake Pads,Washer Bottle Pump and a indicator Bulb thats it in 15 years .

Gdyby focusy były lepiej zabezpieczone, to byłyby na pewno jednymi z lepszych aut w historii a tak niestety, mimo pięknych wspomnień z podróży nienawidziłem tego samochodu, za to mój blacharz je uwielbiał, tak jak każdego innego focusa XD

This shitbox kept me taking to places, even Europe trips for 8 years. I am still grateful for this quite reliable car, but i have changed to opel astra J, and truly, steering with a focus was somehow much more fun. Also Focus diesel engine would go for another 20 year

Niedawno kupiłem od babeczki 65r.sprowadzone z Niemiec w 2009 i tylko jeden właściciel w pl. 1.8 99rok.ponad rok stał na podwórku nie używany, dałem 1100 zł wsadziłem 1300. Pewnie jeszcze z 500 połknie choć już jest po bad tech. Klima coś nie halo, silnik krokowy i któreś łożysko. Te 1300 wsadziłem profilatycznie wymieniając wszystkie płyny filtry i aku. Auto niemal bez rdzy. Zbiera się gorzej jak a3 z 96 z 1.8 pod maską ale nie narzekam

I've wondered the same. I believe he rents the cars out temporarily so he can set up his cameras and film a drive. Or maybe he just asks for a test drive.
