The man, the myth, the legend!
The original “schoolboy”
more like the airplane boy
Nah he was defeating world champions during "schoolboy"'s age.
Can we see John vs Schoolboy please! Wanna see him pass the torch!
i doubt schoolboy will ever become as good as brzenk
@@pluggothesluggo5509 I think he can, hes rlly fucking big lol. Steroids will make him into a monster. But john bzernk is the goat for his p4p feats and dominance in higher weightclasses.
Hello from Russia! We have a lot of respect for John, he is a real man and a great man!
K
Da he is truly "The Perfect Storm"
Hello from Canada, great match in November 17/2018 Devon Larrett vs the Russian.
I'm gonna say Denis
Denis cyplenkov rules.
From any position.
Against any technique.
All weight classes.
Around the world.
The best arm wrestler of all time and forever.
Serg Schnei not forever.. people will obviously surpass him, just as people do in any other sport.. lol
@@marshalld.teachstrongestma5992 I am not sure you understand what "best forever" means. John could be dead, and he would still be considered the best armwrestler of all time. It's not about current abilities.
Haagen Neldeberg When he does pass away eventually he’ll be well known for holding his title for the longest period of time, and being arguably one of the best arm wrestlers of all time, but it doesn’t mean he will have that image to the public forever, people will come in time and out shadow johns achievements in the years to come, but that is still far away. Basically instead of adding the forever part at the end of Serg Schneis statement, he should’ve said “The best arm wrestler of all time”.
viking by nature you can’t call people boneheads and misuse your. It’s you’re ya bonehead.
The most dominate athlete in his game of all sports!
I like it when he beats folk wearing his Old Man Specs!
amazing, absolutely incredible. Wen someone with the right mental and physical attributes chooses the right sport or what ever it might be, it's almost godlike to watch
Wasnt he undefeated for like 20 yrs??
Kebo Kev yep the god
Kebo Kev In his weight class
Rudi Völler
"In his weight class"
Well that would be undefeated,..weight class goes without saying.
Strick nine Yep
That's not to say that he didn't compete in higher classes and beat them too. Sometimes he was recovering from minor injuries though. He didn't want to trash his elbows toooo much.
La mayor leyenda que tiene y tendrá este deporte,30 años en el máximo nivel y 20 de ellos en la cima, nada más que respeto y admiración siento por este hombre
Was that Devon being man handled that was great. John almost snapped his wrist and took it home as a throphy. Big mouth Devon couldn't all John had to say was cant touch me.
I'm pretty sure Devon won the overall match, but yeah that round he got rekt lol
@@paradoxicalbeanz1895 no, in that particular match John Brzenk did win. It was the semi finals of WAL in 2015, also the year he retired from pro armwrestling. He did actually beat Devon on two different occasions in 2015. Devon Larratt has that one win over John Brzenk back in 2008.
Mixed footage of John "Breznk" and John Denver
Country rooaaddss
Unlike many WAL armwrestlers, He was not afraid to compete outside US and was very successful with that.
Very true. One of the few American wrestlers who traveled to Europe to compete and did very well at that. Can't say the same for most arm wrestlers of the west.
What a legend
its a honor either lose or win to brzenk his a living legend with his humbleness and incredible strength.
His rotator cuff is genetically superior to anyone ever. The connective tissue and attachment points must be something else. AMAZING!🙂👍
A guy like this comes every 50 years
This guy's the best in armwrestling and Dennis is the beast of armwrestling.
at 0:01 sec "breznk" lol not brzenk
O melhor de todos
The GOAT of armwrestling... John "the Giant Slayer" Brzenk!!!
00:07 - Laratt?
yeah i thing same
Yes
2004
i dont think armwrestling is that much about technique, ofc some fights will be about technique a bit, but the most important thing is without a doubt forearm/wrist strength/endurance, biceps helps a bit,a lot of ppl say its all technique and thats just plain wrong, and the ones who say its about technique just because a huge bodybuilder cant win over a smaller armwrestler, that doesnt mean its about technique, the body builder hasnt shaped his arm to be optimized for armwrestling while the smaller true armwrestler has insane amount of training that particular way
same here; i think its a lot about superwrist, you can undoubtly create more force if you wrist is upon the others competitot
anders bengtsson It is about technique aswell, and strenth ofcourse. But you can't say it's all about strength. If so, powerlifters would still be able to lift more than these armwrestlers do on their normal day basis exercises.
anders bengtsson of course it is, John was engrossed in Armwrestling world since he was a kid. He's refined his technique and built his strength. If it was more about "strength" then John would not have made it as far as he has. There are more men out there with strength than there are MASTERS of technique.
It's a lot of technique man what?
anders bengtsson steroids
John Brzenk:
Never the biggest guy in the room. Always, the scariest guy in the room.
The craziest part is that 80% of these long matches, John was just putting on a show for the fans.
1:00 my fav shot of Brzenk ever! He took that guy's wrist like I've never seen before. It looked painful actually, and that guy gave up almost immediately after that.
John brzenk The best. No doubt.
Technique strength. Everything is in him perfectly.
He doesn't cheat like Michael under the table todd 😂😂
music ?? great video and tribute to a bonafide US legend
Litterally and not just making a 'cool' comment: This man is the best armwrestler there ever was. (considering his anatomy and that of his opponnents). When you look at his opponents… wow....When i saw 'Pulling John' (the documentary about him on UA-cam) i was glued to the screen. A must see! (another cliché but it is so true it's not even funny,it's hilarious)
Would pay for lessons from him
El mejor de todos! La leyenda 💪🏼♥️
He looks so calm unlike Devon who has too many face impressions and usually he look like he’s about to crap
To me, Schoolboy is his true successor. They even look and act kind of similar.
I still think John might have another run in him yet.
It’s simple, that is, when you’re not human!
amazing video and music too, any idea what name of music ? thanks guys
Джон Профессор армреслинга !!!
I’m glad we bolt tables down now.
Брзенк это легенда!
"Where you goin buddy?"
A Legend!
John brzenk is baddest on that table
From where his power coming from he's not big ,not muscular and still the GOAT arm wrestler and beat guys twice bigger than him
GOAT!!!!!!!!!!!
incredible power + technique
02:37 THAT SMILE
Everybody is gangsta until ALEXY PRIME COMES
This guy is amazing
love it bravo
Is there a more dominant sportsman in their field? Tiger woods arguably but only maintained it for about 5 years. Phil Taylor for longevity. Anyone else?
Gary Kasparov
it's like watching bruce lee or michael jordan - just the best...
Where is Taras vs John
John zeberdast bohat khoob really strong arm wrestler
john brzenk, the luke skywalker (2:41) of armwrestling
This is larretts coach/mentor
El mas maquina y sencillo campeon
Look at 1:35: that's a real champion!
Break it. If he dies. He dies
🐐
That was really badass though
Music ?
Джон классик армрестлинга!
1:09 Todds dad?
Greatest of all time
John is greatest of all times.he beats all monsters.but he can’t beat only krasimir.
Armwrestling needs more exposure to grow. No one knows JB
One of the VERY few that doesn't look like on Roids
John looks like Luke Skywalker back in the day
Zepp He is better at Armwrestling than Luke with the Force
Zepp You mean Luke Skywalker looks like John.
His face reminds me of Homer Simpson
LOL 😂
He was "the one"
If John was looked at with a true evaluative lens, the sporting world would realize that he has done more in his sport, than Michael Jordan, Wayne Gretzky, Roger Federer, amd Tiger Woods. He is by far, the greatest armwrestler ever, amd their is not a close 2nd.
Hes the goat golf goats in his own sport.
Devon is obviously a close 2nd. Wtf are you talking about?
@@bu11ymaguire Close ? Well...not in terms of the sheer duration of time for which they've been at a high level...not in the number of titles...
@@karuonline3294easy to stay at the top with trash competition
Love that Brzenk is always the smallest but strongest :DD
Short arms = arms wrestling advantage
Completely wrong. Think of a lever, spanner or a long wrench. The further you are from the point of resistance, the easier it becomes to overcome it. Its basic moments. John was the best inspite of his short arms not because of them.
@@joewellfair8238 I think that concept applies but the opposite way. If your arm is longer then there's more torque towards the axis your arm is rotating around (easier for opponent).
@@radfid5082 yeah I've thought about this a lot lol and intuitively you should be right. In practice the lever simply always favors long arms though. We must just be looking at it wrong.
@@radfid5082 like, try to close a door with only your little finger right by the hinge of it. Your finger will bend and you'll be in pain. Now do the same thing but push at the handle. It becomes ridiculously easy but the resistance of the hinge didn't change.
Young John Brzenk looks like isn't even trying!
People have no idea how amazing it is, that John Started out a lightweight, then was able to crush Cyplenkov in his 40's. Their is no way to explain how great John is, except to say that he is the greatest competitor in any sport ever.
What a stupid statement. Thx for the laugh.
rip the music from this video onto your computer.. if u like it.. easy to do
Stance sorry kiddo he's the goat.
Gary Gwinn You don't understand man. John is a superhuman !!!!
There may be other legends but to achieve what John has and yet be so HUMBLE & nice is what makes him truly great!
You know what's awesome about John? Him beating all these roided up guys
how do you know that John never used roids himself?
You are a fool if you think john wasn't on gear. Not all steroid users are huge, just look at all the athletes who are caught using steroids, but they look like normal people
@@ivan4507 yeah the thing is that everyone relates them to bodybuilding
He claims he never used them until his 40's when his doctor provided it to him based on lower T levels. Of course, he could just be lying - although he is retired now so there would be less of a point to lie about it, not that it really matters anyway since it isn't illegal / testing for in the sport.
I actually have a tendency to believe him. Arm wrestling requires this weird sort of joint / tendon strength that really just needs to be built on over time. They will always heal slow. And the man started competitive arm wrestling when he was 15. So he's had ages to build those tendons and joints. Additionally, he's a technical genius - which roids will not help with either and I believe his genetics are great for the sport. Last but not least, John generally seems to be an upstanding and nice guy. He *seems* like the type of person that would be very upfront about his steroid use, especially since it's glaringly obvious that so many guys use it and the fact that it isn't illegal / tested for in the sport.
Check out this video on steroids in arm wrestling: ua-cam.com/video/mT_SyXB9TVM/v-deo.html
Cheers
Kool Burn. That's how I feel on the table all that mass and the look they give you when they hit the wall.. Hahaha
Величайший Чемпион. Самая скромная живая Легенда:)
В точку бро!
3:20-3:25 He freaking beat Denis Cyplenkov in 5 seconds
look at how high John's hand is, this is his best technique where it's hard to beat him and impossible to drag him into a hook or top roll him. if you give him that advantage you have no chance.
Ya then Dennis did a few more cycles of roids...
Chadasdf if you think that Brzenk or anyone that competed at Nemiroff cup was natural you are very very wrong :) (big fan of Brzenk here)
***** get your facts right, not only what you see in that 1 match.
For such a big fan you don't seem to know much about him.
Just think of all the muscle fiber breakdown and restoration after breakdown over the years, over and over again.. Coupled with his muscle fiber activation.. I'd say john may have lost endurance in his old age, but has only grown stronger.
Wakka Clocka hasn’t lost endurance just a little bit of speed
True as
Usually you increase endurance with age and lose strength
That's probably what happened to him
@@Fernando-zpt other way around. It only goes that way for somebody who never trained or barely did train.
3:36 love how he levered that jerk from under the table.
3:32
Mmt is better than john, john cheated here, by sending his buddy to gas out mmt here and then facing him. Fresh vs fresh mmt destroys him
Watching John go through Pushkar, Larratt, Bagent, Todd and Cyplenkov in a period where people would think are his twlight years of arm wrestling is just astonishing. So admire that man
AND what is that ref doin at 6:15? He's all over the guy touchin and wipin.. No idea how brzenk beats these guys. Where are all the scientists?
How come no one wants to study his arm and forearm... Obviously there is something the military can use...
Whiping off the sweat off the giant so it doesn't drip onto their hands or pads i suppose. Or just a pervert. Hahahaha.
This music sounds like the kind of music that would be in robot porn. You know, if that existed.
It's a Hop Hop instrumental
Kevin Gillihan it will one day
Rule 34
1:00 pops him right open!
One and only. The Bruce lee of arm wrestling.
That title now belongs to Devon Larratt
lol except John beat him. So yeah now that John is old and on his way out someone else can pretend to be the best
brownycrevice larratt? He sux. Running from cypenklov since a decade
brownycrevice no it doesn't lol he will always be the goat
+dvr1337 several times in the past few years he has offered Denis matches. Denis declined many of them. They are having a match this month.
He is the symbol of American tenacity and strength!
John is just one of those guys who possessed amazing genetics for arm wrestling. You add that with years of dedication and you have an elite high level arm wrestler like John.
At 5:33 you look across the table and realize that your accountant has just wandered over from a finance conference and destroyed you in an arm wrestle.
lbragimov is the guy, he looks like voevoda but it's not
Greatest of all time without question. Technical master and Incredible he was best so long.
GOAT!!
Can you imagine actually being John Brzenk.
It would be amazing to be a young bzernk and destroy everyone at gym and all my friends without even trying.
1:01 Watch his face. He's looks like he just realized he's wrestling with a god.
He twist his opponent hands 😯
Гениальный спортсмен.
Да уж ничего не скажешь - легенда. Второго Джона уже не будет :(
This should’ve been the storyline used in the movie, Unbreakable. Average guy realizes he’s a super hero, becomes John Brzenk.

Yes
it's a fair mistake tho
2:00 - 2:18 It hurts me just to watch that.
it's lars and it is his technique like jimmy cadorette they use to do this in match so i don't think they are hurt but yeah it look painfull
It looked like his arm would break!

yes thx
Feels like its a matter of time before it will snap
Queston:Why are so few black men in armwrestling or strenght-sports in general ?
I think it has more to do with what sports blacks are exposed to. Football and basketball are popular in black communities. Also, theres more money to be made in sports than weightlifting. There were plenty of strong black men: James Henderson, Mark Henry and currently Larry Wheels.
Exposed to? Really? The reason so many are in basketball/football is because back in the slave days we bred the big ones with the big ones to get a superior picker. All a farmer has to do is turn on ESPN to witness his Grandpa's handiwork.
I was answering the question why there are fewer blacks in strength sports. I never said it is due to their exposure that they are so good at sports. Sure that is part of it but their genetics like you said is the main factor.
Thanks for pointing that out. I did twist your words around on ya. Sorry bud. Growing up though I arm-wrestled all the time....my uncle/father, friends and parties. I never saw a tournament in real life, but did hear about them. Now you can go online and find any and everything you want to know about the sport. Does that count as exposure?
Jordan Murphy you are exactly right
the scariest part is, John jus recently said that hes never even actually prepared for an arm wrestling match. hes got the strongest hand ever seen in the sport. his cup and roll will forever be known as #1. a dedicated 95kg john pulling in the Top 8 is a scary thought
the jedi master of armwrestling
