Hi Alina! There's no place like home, and there is no place like Pai, Thailand! Sometimes we unexpectedly find special and unique places when we are looking ahead to other plans. Pai has such a cool vibe, and the surrounding landscapes and natural features are awesome and wonderful. Remote northern Thailand is truly a lovely getaway for you and dad!
It's beautiful that you are guiding your dad through S.E. Asia which I presume is a very exciting adventure for him, given the vast differences between this area and Canada. Also I think he did great snatching up noodles with chopsticks, given larger egg noodles aren't very easy to grip. I am sure your dad will enjoy Chiangmai, given it's still a cozy city despite its larger size relative to theusual sleepy tourist centers. And finally--- WELCOME BACK TO BKK!!!

Thank you very much for spreading good words about Thailand. Thais do sincerely welcome tourists. I pedaled from Tham Pla, Mae Hongsonm and stayed at resort on the right just before you cross the bridge of Pai river. They had a swimming pool filled with hot spring water. It was so relaxing for my tired muscles, and I started fresh next morning
I really enjoy watching your vlogs showing us beautiful natural places of Pai,Thailand and I really appreciate that you are going with your dad to explore the beauty of Pai and about there’s foods.
I don't suppose many Farangs as an adult would travel with their aging parent(s). I'm sure your dad was very happy having his daughter as a traveling companion. Way to go, Alina!
I just know the dad had NO IDEA what marrying to mom and inheriting a restless daughter would do to his life. I joked he got a "different virus" from his daughter, the 15 year old Japanese model. When she took off to Tokyo to do modeling, that had to be the beginning of a realization this was a very DIFFERENT sort of daughter! And now, they are off to Hanoi and the mountains of northern Vietnam! Does he tell stories in town?
Great video Alina! I am very happy that you and your dad are enjoying this awesome adventure in Thailand, a wonderful land. Thanks a lot for sharing. .

Lovely to see your video, I'm now 50 and was there back in 1994 as a 21 yr old backpacker and loved the place. Never felt so free. I'm now back in BKK and hanging out as a digital nomad and this video popped up. Haven't been back for 15 years but your video has inspired me to return! Thank you
🙏 Alina! Glad to see you go back to Thailand once more. I believe you will enjoy more this time than the last time when you were there. Love your videos! 🙏
Hi Alina…I’m a first time viewer and new subscriber. I have never been in Pai but I have been to Mae Hong Son several times and I’ve visited the Chinese Village and the Long Neck village. I brought a doctor with me on one of my trips and we held training for the local villages on basic first aid including suturing were we practiced on pigs’ feet. Afterwards the villagers took the pig feet home for dinner…visiting these remote villages along with the work I did in refuge camps and with orphans sure give new perspective on what’s important in life.
Morning Alina and Dad..Its 4.14am here in London and 3 days ago I tested positive for Covid 😢 Keep sleeping and waking up every 4 hours, so just saw your post..Pai looks beautiful sure need a holiday when I'm better..Love you both ❤
Ah, many fond memories. Pai is truly a gem, more so some 15 years ago. I've been there several times. About 3 hours by van from Chiang Mai with a toilet break halfway. There's so much to see and do in Pai itself but especially if you travel to Mae Hong Son. Too many tourists for my liking but it wasn't like this until recently. Check out Yoma and the Quarter. Also Blue Ox and Brookview chalet. The overnight train ride from Bangkok to Chiang Mai is an adventure by itself.
Welcome to Thailand, Alina. I am Thai, I've traveled a lot to work in many areas of this country but I confess to you that 30 years of traveling, I've never been to Mae Hong Son, exactly Pai also, ha ha.. I know Pai is one of the most famous places to visit. You are cute and lucky.
I went to Pai for the weekend and stayed two weeks. It's a magical place. You've captured the essentials, but I would add that it has really good live music and a good jazz club as well as some great party bars that are smaller and more intimate with floor lounging spaces. I've been in Chiang Mai for 10 years now. Doubt I'll ever leave.
I've been watching your videos for a long time and when your dad joined he didn't seem very happy. After all these trips he seems very happy and even looks younger. You should do a video on how this traveling has affected him. Is he looking forward to going home or does he want to become a nomad now?
Have you been to Koh Phangan? It’s a very similar vibe to Pai, many Yoga resorts and relaxed hippie style island. Don’t bother with the Full Moon, there’s so much more to the island. Natural landscapes great hiking amazing beaches cool restaurants and relaxing lifestyle 😊

Pai looks like a wonderful place… I’m sure my travels will take me up there in the future….your young… so enjoy this time that you have for exploring before the business of life gets a hold of you… it took me 40 years to get back here…. Great video… I hope to be up there soon….

Day time temp would be quite high but pleasant at night. But then there is Songkran Festival 13-15 Apr when you be wet all day having fun splashing water on strangers.
Hello Madam.Welcome to Thailand. I just came back from Pai. I went to there for surveying the route. It is very beautiful. This period is comfortable for travelling in Thailand.
Hello Alina and everyone in the comments section, not to take anything away from Alina and her vacation but I wanted to remind everyone about the terrible earthquake that struck Turkey and Syria. Over 5,000 people have been confirmed to have been killed. Please do all you can to help. You can donate to international organizations like Doctors Without Borders, the Syrian American Medical Society, Save the Children, UNICEF, and the UNHCR, you can share accurate information on the disaster and donate food, water, medicine, and clothing.
What has that got to do with this video ? Should we talk about the millions starving around the world each day ? Should we point out modern day slavery.... for example , the people in Labour camps in China to make phones or the the kids 8n Africa , digging for cobalt 13 hours a day, to make batteries for these phones?.. Stop virtue signalling ....does not make u a a good person .....this is NPC activity
The BIGGEST problem with Pai is.... TOO Many Tourists! Too many farang, for sure. Why do you come to Thailand just to hang out with the same people you left at home? Makes no sense, really.
In 2002 I went to Thailand for 3 weeks. I ended up staying for 1 year . I miss Pai and many other places in South East Asia. I never regret doing that.
You can use spoon and fork for all the Thai noodles. Chop stick is a Chinese tradition, that came with the migrants. Back in the day. Nearly all the Thai food are eat with spoon and fork.
Nice video ! Alina you are perfected and beautiful young lady. Your dad is so wonderful man and look so happy as well can't wait upcoming in next one. Good luck both of you have a nice trip.

You are always welcome to Thailand. It is going to be hot in March as summer begins, especially in Pai with its mountainous terrain.
Smokey season has arrived. Pai looked fine but will get worse Feb and Mar. CM has high pollution in case you have respiratory issues.

I’m in southern Thailand now… I have all my paperwork in order and I’m going to get a bigger bike and start touring soon… I’m really into photography and want to go to as many temples as I can and photograph them…. Pai looks like a wonderful place… I’m sure my travels will take me up there in the future….your young… so enjoy this time that you have for exploring before the business of life gets a hold of you… it took me 40 years to get back here…. Great video… I hope to be up there soon….
Man, I need to go to Asia more! Amazing stuff in Thailand! Never been to Thailand, but after having watched your videos, it sure looks like being worth one's while. Thanks for showing some great videos, Alina!
Awesome place, now this is my kinda vibe, peaceful, calm, relaxing and your voice bring even more justice to this place...calm,relaxed and soothing just to listen too
Love your content! ❤ It's helping us plan our upcoming trip to Thailand. Pai looks amazing! Do you think it would be too hot to visit in April?
Day time temp would be quite high but pleasant at night. But then there is Songkran Festival 13-15 Apr when you be wet all day having fun splashing water on strangers.
@@rudhthongvanit682 Thank you so much for your response! ❤
I'm glad! April can be hot, but up north it would be nice.

I want to send somthings to help every peploe have the Problem but i do not know any way to give them..from Thailand
Hi ..yes,it's definitely your good day. We're glad you came to Thiland. Welcom.
The BIGGEST problem with Pai is.... TOO Many Tourists! Too many farang, for sure. Why do you come to Thailand just to hang out with the same people you left at home? Makes no sense, really.
Pai used to be incredible. Let’s hope chiang dao doesnt go that way. Compared to UBUD, Pai is paradise as far as tourists
In 2002 I went to Thailand for 3 weeks. I ended up staying for 1 year . I miss Pai and many other places in South East Asia. I never regret doing that.
I was staying in the exact same hut before and me too, I loved it sooooo much!!! ;) what an awesome place to be
Enjoyed your video of the town I’ve called home for 20 years Thank you 🙏
You can use spoon and fork for all the Thai noodles. Chop stick is a Chinese tradition, that came with the migrants. Back in the day. Nearly all the Thai food are eat with spoon and fork.
We are very glade to welcome you. Please enjoy a precious time here.🥰❤

Found Pai 32 years ago when it was just a little backwater with my wife. At the moment we are in Sukohthai which I recommend you visit when possible. Keep travelling, Mick….
I’ve heard very good things about Sukhothai!
