I tried making a simic Cauldron deck just today. With Captive Weird under it, and a Training Grounds in play, all creatures such as Ulvenwald Oddity, Polukranos Reborn and Vorinclex/Jin Gitaxias transform for 1 Phy red (0 mana, -1life.) You don't get the Weird's exile a card ability, just the cheap transform.
First match, game 3. If you were worried abt Eiganjo, would the play have been activate cauldron before blocking? Then Eiganjo is -1 card in hand to just trade resources
19:16 you always use the cauldron to try and save your guy and force them to use the removal in there hand so they don't have it for future creatures. It cost nothing to remove a creature from there graveyard to add a counter to your creature eps when you have no other creatures on the board to add a counter on. It's fine that he missed it but to wrongly justify the play and say it was gonna die anyway does not help people play better. As an example if he had forced him to use the removal on it his slogark would have survived the next rounds combat probably winning the game in a couple turnsinstead of having to cast a second one that was not as large as the first one. Sure he eventually won the game but he was at much bigger risk of losing the game also
strongly disagree. The opponent expected the cauldron pump just like you would, and Crokeyz exploited that and got to trade with opponents Spellbook Vendor. If he gives opponent a window to Eiganjo, the Vendor lives. As the defending player, getting rid of something on board is a way more important than getting rid of their removal in hand. He was gonna win the resource game anyway, priority was to not lose on tempo.
I've been enjoying a sultai Slogurk and tortoise deck, and a 2-of Founding the Third Path has been really good
First match was a disaster, both players stuck on 2 lands

Noice! My love for Soul Cauldron continues to grow by the day.
I wonder if Tatyova would do well in this deck

Did you consider adding training ground?
If Cauldron has exiled a copy of Slogurk, then all your dudes w/ +1/+1 counters can bounce themselves by removing three +1/+1 counters, right?
Polukranos looks like it'd be decent for this in sideboard for shit like monowhite
Sunfall with double sharks would’ve got them 3 5/5s the next turn that play would’ve been gg

Came here again to remind WotC to ban all islands. Thank you.
