Cory Tetford is an amazing singer, songwriter, and all around astonishing musician from NL! When I was a young teen growing up in St.John's in the late 80's/90's, I saw a video audition submitted by Cory for this battle of the guitarists that I believe may have taken place at the Cornerstone Bar, please correct me if my info is incorrect! He was amazing!!! Blazing riffs, fills, solos, etc.... As a young dude who was a metalhead, it was music to my ears! And let me tell you, he had serious chops!!! Fast forward X amount of years and countless recordings and performances and collaborations later, and we have the genius that is Cory!!! The song Tears sums it up for me to be honest. Not to underplay the rest of his material, which I love all of, but this is a testament to what he can offer to the musical community! Enjoy!

Man I miss Halifax...the music..Blues Fest..Lower Deck..Bearly's...etc etc etc My daughter (who is a vocalist) went to the Christmas show in St John's last year when visiting her grandmother. I phoned her the next day and asked how it was. She said it was really good, but there was one guy, Corey Tetford, man could he sing. I chuckled and said "ya, I have downed a few pints of Keith's enjoying that same voice". Great Stuff.
