There was a time that I "cared" for the planet, even fight for it. But one day it finally dawned on me.

Probably, but there's always the chance that all the microplastics, PFAS, harmful chemicals and higher and higher temperatures will kill all the living organisms, so I wouldn't get my hopes up.

And there's no geological evidence for co2 levels causing global warming. There is a weak inverse relationship however. That is a fact.
Another point - in corporate they encourage to set closer timelines with dividing the work needed rather than leaving a huge amount of work for far away deadline.
It's easier to stay on track when work is divided and every small chunk has set deadline. There is always less delay rather than no division of work.

Okay y'all, can we be realistic for a second? Humanity isn't doomed. I'm not saying there's not a risk of extinction but in most cases of clilate change humans will continue to exist. We're adaptable. We're a species that can survive in the arctic and the kalahari. We're highly intelligent omnivores, exactly the sort of species that comes well out of a mass extinction event.
What's at stake is how we survive. For all that we bash it, modernity has given us so much. Highly effective medicine, technologies to communicate and cooperate and compensate for our biological flaws, a massive flood of creative ideas to give our lives meaning, welfare systems which help people live fuller lives than ever before. But the systems that support these things are underthreat by collapsing ecosystems and changing weather patterns.
This isn't a fight to save humanity. It's a fight to determine the conditions under which humans in the future can live. And I think that's important. It's easy to be nihilistic and say "humanity's all fucked, let's give up." It's better to say "I want to make sure those future people live in the best world possible."

The fact that I can see the context from the UN regarding Climate Change under this funny yet convincing video, is hilarious
One of the issues for people is that the temperature projections are way out, which causes disbelief and lack of pragmatism and acceptance of the issue. Maybe, if we are being honest, we can start by looking at the inaccuracies in the climate modelling and try and at least understand why there projections are wrong compared to where we are.
2:24 The German government had the exact same idea, the graph is depicting, to combat climate change. But then, the Federal Constitutional Court (our supreme court) ruled, that the plan would be unconstitutional, because it would shift the burden of mitigation to just one generation instead of all current living people.

I can move 40 kilometres east and the average yearly temperature is one degree centigrade higher with a lower variation in temperature and 50 percent more rain and I can move 40 kilometres west and the mean yearly temperature is one degree centigrade lower with higher variation (including winter frosts and summer daytime temperatures over 38 degrees) and 33 percent less rain.

Net Zero by 2050 is really just referring to how many people will still be around by 2050. Essentially calling out our curtain call.
Agriculture is the biggest driver of deforestation, and already uses nearly half of all our planet's habitable land. 83% of that is livestock and feed crops. The methane and carbon emissions, and opportunity cost, make animal agriculture unimaginably destructive.
After "Not having children", the biggest impact we can have as individuals is adopting a plant-based lifestyle. But there is also a huge issue with governments subsidising and protecting harmful agriculture in the same way they protect the fossil fuel industry. This message would be good to include in such a video.

Things that we can DEMAND to our lazy governments:
- Reforestate.
- Halt industries with too much CO2 output.
- Go full throttle on clean energies.
It's going to take some time, but if we are just waiting for a "magical" solution, everything will get worse.
Clean energies CANNOT sustain nor maintain the industrial need, destroying them would mean millions of lost in job and GDP. Not even the highest needs in general consumption can be achieved, it is limited. It is not possible, and in many countries, more forest landscapes are being maintain and grown than a few decades pass. Do some research on European countries, you will be surprised.

I have included a debunking of 'accumulated heat' as it is so often used to explain how trace elements, so called 'greenhouse gasses', can warm the planet.
Accumulated heat whilst sounding a reasonable explanation of how heat can build up is rather nothing more than gobbledygook. In fact it shows those using such arguments do not even understand what heat is.
When we measure temperature we are measuring the heat energy a thing is losing. In short heat is a measurement of flow, the transfer of heat energy and this will always be in the direction towards the colder. For this reason a thing can never 'accumulate heat' in the way those advocating CO2 climate change describe. The temperature of a body is the measure of heat output, it can never be greater than the measure of heat input. Output = input. When a thing is warmed it is heated to an equivalent of the heat input. If this input is not maintained it will cool. Those that propose that heat can build up to be hotter than the total measure of heat input at a given time either do not understand what heat is or are being deliberately misleading. To illustrate, an object being heated by a flame can never become hotter than that flame, it's temperature cannot rise inexorably to the temperature of the sun for instance. Heat cannot be accumulated. When we think about it common sense tells us this must be the case.
NASA and even Nobel Prize winning physicists have expounded 'accumulated heat' as the explanation how CO2 is able to warm the atmosphere. They claim that over hundreds of years CO2 has captured heat energy and this heat has 'accumulated' to produce a serious warming effect. As I have just explained, this is totally impossible and fundamentally violates all the laws of thermodynamics. That respected scientists should support such uneducated, unthinking nonsense is disturbing and only reflects that in terms of being able to think clearly about a subject they have no facility or inclination. These are the Dark Ages of science. Belief has outweighed logic or any critical thought. It tells us that we should not unquestioningly accept anything we are told, that experts can be fools.
(NB: be aware of attempts to discard thermodynamics by talking about biology.
Eg. 'It only takes a drop of arsenic to kill a person.'
This would be somewhat desperate, muddled thinking. Clearly biological processes based on the reaction of a cell are not the same as the laws of physics/thermodynamics).
