I ran into the same experience with solar panels on my roof. It was the worst company I have a higher. They ended up putting a new roof on my house for free.
Ha wow, my dad and I(not roofers) did my roof a year ago. I thouroghly read all the manufacturer instruction and tips, we nailed where required cut where required, etc. did everything by the book and I had also watched your previous videos to see where others fucked up, it all turned out great! This is why I DIY everything. These were "pro roofers" supposedly and did a terrible job.
I'm doing my own roof, I worked for a roofer 25 years ago and learned the basics but there's a lot getting me into trouble still and a professional roofer would probably have a field day with me but I can't afford to hire someone to do it for me. I'm sort of stuck, but the old roof was starting to leak and the original roofers seem to have been more armature than me, with nails exposed, lousy job in nailing, but working around boots and flashing, they were more suited to it than I am. I really do need to replace the wood underneath, but can't afford that and I'm 60 years old, it's a lot of work for me.
Everything you need to know is on the paperwork literally on the pack of shingles that you open every single pack has directions so easy to follow. I’m sure you’ll have no trouble at all.
Drew I have a question for you I'm chasing some leaks on a low slope roof it has ice and water shield under it shingles over it and I have had no leaks in 3 yrs . My question is can I pull shingles of and leave ice and water shield and stick the modified roofing over the top of it..
Great video Drew what a bad roof ! And it would have been nice to know what repair you would do to fix it or would you recommend replacing it all ? Ps I bit it can be dangerous to be up on that roof if the tiles are slipping
Wow! I know that roof cost a lot of money I would be pissed to say the least ... Roof looks not that old I can see them blowing off during strong winds in..... South Port you get strong winds
Unfortunately, this was a builder of the house. The guy that built the house is the guy that had the roof done and he obviously had trouble with his roofers. It was not the homeowner going with the cheapest bid it was the builder going with the cheapest bid but same outcome.
That's what happened when I had a shifty roofer do my roof years ago. I needed to sue him....
