    No Ryobi tools were used in the filming of this video - LOL That KVM device is very nice. I’ve seen them but not in this much detail. Thanks for sharing.

    I have a 19" Belkin model, mint condition, Air ambulance auction on eBay & I further won a 17" Belkin model with average wear & tear. Both for less then £25 IIRC, KVM is cool :D

    Nice upgrade Morten! Now you'll never back to the small screen. I think at one time I had a kvm for 2 PCs. I just you the ethernet connection these days. If that doesn't work I'll use individual monitor/kybd to troubleshoot the half dozen PCs I have.

    big fan of rack studs,my fingers to. But I'm always mounting them sideways, rotating them 90, that way you can get them out as well.. and the bracket might fit better. just how I do it.

    • @MyPlayHouse

      I am having a bit of problems,, with the Console lucking,, and the rackstuds not holding, but letting it slide.. but it is still a cool system.

      Okay,, there are things that I liked with the IBM,, the nipple. But the colors was not good,, and the camcorder made it look better than what I could see.

  • @8ballfpv

    how do you hook upto each server? Do you manually plug it into each one as you need it? I picked up a blackbox servswitch duo recently to take care of that but havent found a kvm like yours for a reasonable price yet....

    • @MyPlayHouse
      @MyPlayHouse  3 роки тому +1

      Yes,, it is totally manual :-/
      I have had a KVM switch hooked up,, but it was not really worth it. for my tiny setup.

    • @MyPlayHouse
      @MyPlayHouse  3 роки тому

      You start by buying a cheap affordable old server,, you play, upgrade/update install all kind of stuff on it,, then you sell it and get a better one...

      @@MyPlayHouse but I don't understand what I need to look for. What makes a server a good deal? Is it better to get dual or single CPU? I have no experience with any of the software like iLO or iDRAC, so I'm confused on what is recommended.

    If it's just a standard keyboard in a weird box to fit inside a rack, then why don't they just include the local keys in a small bag?

    I have actually stole(kind of) a pc from my school, it is from 2003 too. I was thinking i can play old games with it for nostalgia, but when my hands got dirt, no point to do that. In the bios screen the cpu(p4 3ghz) temperature is 58° C, it's like a helicopter runs in my bedroom, i still wanna use it but, no point. Good ol' hardwares...
