      if she didn't say "absolutely!" she would have been fired and she would have been harassed endlessly and probably sued for something by seaworld who would try to smear her name and bring up everything dirty they could about her past and personal life. They've done it before.
      You could tell by her body language, shaking her head "no", that she did not believe what she was saying

    Obviously these whales are depressed. They stay in a tiny pool, wait about 48 hrs probably banging their heads against the wall while they are pregnant. Do you not think the baby will die or suffer? The whales have bruises from the calfs trying to sulk milk. It's sick that the mother was taken from its pod when it was a calf, and raising her baby in captivity.

      2make aplaylist The fact that plenty of experts believe the whales are not happy and seeing depressive characteristics from animals that are supposed to have thousands of square miles to roam but are locked in a small space that is chemically treated is proof enough.

    • @2makeaplaylist759
      @2makeaplaylist759 7 років тому

      It's hardly chemically treated, seeing that it has less chlorine in it than drinking water. Yes, the tanks may be smaller than the ocean, but wild orcas really only swim a hundred miles for food. They wouldn't waste valuable calories "for fun." The behaviors SeaWorld's whales do help them to get exercise and help them to be mentally stimulated.

      KaylaxKyuquot Studios well where do we start.
      1. Animals get taken away from their families in the wild
      2. They’re then transported in a truck to sea world or other places
      3. The animals then are forced to live in small tanks
      4. Forced to do tricks
      5. They get depressed and lonely due to the small tank
      6. They also get problems with them because they aren’t in the wild like they used to be
      7. Sea world thinks it’s natural when they do that which it isn’t
      8. Most people think it’s ok for the animals to live in small tanks.
      Before you say anything no I don’t support PETA and I never will do. Also I like the fact that you think sea world haven’t done anything wrong, when they clearly have

    • @chasethesun5603
      @chasethesun5603 6 років тому

      1) It's been 40 years since they've actually taken an orca from the wild, find something new to argue about.
      2)The tanks are connected and they're allowed to go wherever. The orcas actually choose a tank and explore the people there with toys and stuff.
      3) Can you prove they're depressed? They certainly aren't lonely! They have pods, and when one of the orcas don't get along well, they take it to a different one to accommodate.
      4) These orcas aren't a just a show, that may have been the purpose way back when it first opened... But it's since evolved into an informative place, and they use their orcas as research.
      I don't agree with how seaworld was in the early days of it's life, but I have a lot of respect for it now. What I don't have respect for, are the people who think "emptying the tanks" are a good idea, or when they use Blackfish as a main source to their information. A lot of the information about seaworld now is false, and that's because of all the political-ness to it.

      Since most of the whales at SeaWorld haven't been in the ocean, their immune systems might not be capable of handling the pollution in the ocean. Sea "sanctuaries" aren't all that different from the old Blue World Project, but with less filtration. I'm sure that the seaworld-born orcas (80% of the whales in their care) will not survive their release. So it's best that they stay where they are now. Please read Killing Keiko for more information on the truth about releasing killer whales

    SeaWorld is the world leader in marine animal rescue, rehabilitation, and release. In fact SeaWorld just recently hit 30,000 rescues and they were rescuing animals long before they were a marine park. SeaWorld did capture orcas 37 years ago when it was considered humane and ethical because not much was know about them. Prior to killer whales being in captivity they were used as target practice by the US military, people used to fear killer whales until they were brought into captivity. Through SeaWorld and other marine animal parks there's now a greater appreciation for the killer whale. There's a lot of misinformation about SeaWorld from the movie Blackfish as well as PETA who has euthanized 36,000 animals since 1998. Many people say SeaWorld should release their orcas into sea pens. Sea pens are just as much captivity as SeaWorld is but they cost way more and are no where near as clean as SeaWorld's tanks. The pools are kept at a perfect temperature of 55 degrees all day and every day of the year, the pools are filtered and cleaned every every hour, and their pools are regularly inspected by the federal government. In addition to them being really expensive, sea pens are also very unhealthy for killer whales that have lived in captivity all their lives. Their immune systems would not be able to handle the pollution of the ocean. Others say they're not happy. How can anyone truly know that except for the trainers that work day in and day out with them. As a trainer at SeaWorld San Diego has stated she can tell the whales are happy based off the fact that they will breed, they will eat, and they will interact both with their trainers and members of their orca family. By wishing for the end of SeaWorld, you are wishing that the 30,542 animals SeaWorld has rescue would've died instead of having a second chance at life, you're wishing that SeaWorld didn't donate 10 million dollars to wild orca research, and wishing that SeaWorld didn't have a conservation fund that protects animals of all kinds on all seven continents.

      SeaWorld Parks Rock I think its great they do all the conservation work they do but I do belive and many other experts belive that the whales should NOT be in captivity. The fact these animals in the wild live as long as humans or in some cases longer . The longest living wild killer whale was 103 years old. Why is it they die so young in captivity? They breed them too young they feed them dead fish. They leave them in groups of unrelated whales who speak differently who act differently to each other. Honestly you cannot say seaworld are doing right by their whales?

    • @thatrandomorcaguy7511
      @thatrandomorcaguy7511 7 років тому +2

      Taegan E although thats true, there's nothing we can do, nothing seaworld can do
      Obviously all options will result the whales to die, sometimes die maybe faster than their rate in the park so either we kill them in the park or in the wild or "sanctuaries"

      Oh boy love these moments because buckle up buttercup I know my Orca shit and I have AAAAALLLL the dirt on Seaworld and their facade of caring for marine wildlife, let me tell you! They might pretend to care about the marine wildlife they rescue(and the people rescuing obviously care a ton! I dont doubt the employees for a second!) but they DEFINITELY DO NOT care about their Orcas and Dolphins or any of the animals that make them money! Ha!
      First up and the most undebatable and indesputable fact that just proves how many fucks they truely give about their captive dolphins:
      They dont even provide them with shade. That's it. Shade. Shade would literally ease a shit ton of the poor orcas suffering but they still have yet to provide ANYTHING for them to escape from the hot sun. They have constant sunburn on their backs that the park employees cover up with a black ointment to conceal and hide from public eyes but it hurts like fucking hell and having to do all those tricks and perform WHILE sunburned hurts like a bitch let me tell you. In the wild orcas spend a majority of their time deep underwater where the rays of the sun are scattered and much less harmful but up on the surface the sun is much worse!
      Check out this dolphin that spent a little too much time on shore, ouch.
      Another fact, orcas at seaworld only live an average of 13 years while in the wild their average lifespan is more than double and females often live to be over 60 years of age.
      They also live in family groups called pods and literally NEVER leave their parents. Ever. Pods are so tightly formed that they even have their own languages that are pod specific and cannot communicate with orcas outside of their pod effectively which explains why different pods usually only come together to mate(avoiding incest). Oh and Orcas are so intelligent, they even surpass monkeys and have names for each individual!
      This means that when seaworld seperates mothers from their babies it is literally one of the most traumatic things in the world for them. Their high intellegence also means they can become depressed and fall victim to mental disorders similar to humans. Did you know that dolphins commit suicide? Unlike humans they can choose to stop breathing at any time and young orcas and dolphins have been rumoured to literally have killed themselves after seperations from their mother or family. Trainers have come forwards addmiting that dolphins have died this way but of course seaworld would never admit their animals are sp miserable they are literally killing themselves now would they?
      I have a friend who was a trainer previously at seaworld and while she cannot share anything publicly in fear of them retaliating(they do come after you for shit) she has shared with me some pretty horrific things about how they are treated, they are also given TONS of medications, even "healthy" orcas.
      Anyways, onward with indesputable facts I suppose. Orca females in the wild reach sexual maturity at around 4 years old BUT they only mate around the age of 7 to 8 years old, seaworld artificially impregnates them pretty much as soon as they can(or they did) and had them giving birth at 4 and 5 when in the wild they would only be giving birth to calves after the age of 8. Then they would seperate them of course and the calves would die... and then they would do it all over again traumatizing the mother and continuing to force her to perform.
      Oh and it gets worse. Let me tell you about Lolita. She was a wild caught orca who was taken from her mother at a very young age. She is the only survivor of the orcas taken from her pod in the wild meanwhile the rest of her pod that was left in the ocean still survives and is doing well. Another orca used to be housed with Lolita back when Lolita was first moved to her now current tank. His name was Hugo and he was Lolita's only orca companion before his death in 1980. Want to know how he died?? Brain aneurysm. He literally would hit head head against the walls of his tank so hard that he literally gave himself brain damage and eventually it killed him. Lolita still lives in that same tank and it is so small it literally isnt even twice as wide as she is long. Take that in now. Not even twice as wide. She can stick her head out of the water and her tail can touch the floor of her tank. It doesn't meet the "humane" standards even for an orca tank size! People have tried to sue but seaworld is a huge company and they do that they want as long as they can. Well an ocean and marine wildlife rehabilitation group actually contacted them asking for lolita to be transfered to an ocean pen in a cove that would be set up and fully equipped to handle her and her needs which included 24/7 on the spot veterinary care and caregivers available at all times to assist. There they would reintroduce her, slowly, to the ocean again and eventually would teach her how to hunt and be a real orca again. She would be rehabilitated and the bonus? Her family pod from which she was taken over 40 years ago swims by there every year and scientists wanted to study how she would interact with them and if they would recognize her afyer being done for so long. It would be a huge breaththrough both for orca research and for lolita herself! Everyone would benefit greatly. But seaworld refused. They claimed transporting her would be too risky and that transporting orcas is stressful and they dont want to put their animals in harms way...ok
      I read that story the day it came out. The day they had reaponded. Not 24 hours later, while checking their page, they announced their plan to relocate multple orcas overseas, twice as far as the coves and sea pens, all the way to Saudi Arabia. Why you ask? Well remember how the court ruled they had to stop breeding them? Yep. They are moving mulple orcas and putting them "in harms way" just so they can continue performing and breeding them in a country where there arent any animal rights laws to stop them.
      Oh and btw the only reason they announced they were stopping their orca breeding program was because the court had already ruled they had to stop it and so it was literally jjst to save face. They didnt "hear" shit. ("We heard you! We are putting an end to the orca breeding program!" Uuhh nah, the COURT put an end to the breeding program)
      They spew propaganda out their ass and while sure, they do marine wildlife rescue work, so do plenty of other non profit organizations that DONT torture super intelligent marine life and make them perform for money
      How about instead of supporting a FOR PROFIT ORGANIZATION that tortures and abuses their captive AND CAPTURED highly intelligent marine wildlife, support nonprofit organizations that, without a doubt, care about all creatures that come into their care. Seaworld CAPTURED and KILLED wild orcas just to get the ones they have now in captivity. That doesn't sound like any sort of pro-rescue organization worth respecting to me. There are PLENTY of good, respectable, and well managed non-profit marine wildlife rehabilitation and rescue organizations that DONT torture orcas or dolphins. Support and help fund them instead of this garbage of a place.

      oh and I didn't even get into how they drill their teeth, how the orcas inure one another and other major things.
      Oh and are you aware that it has been proven even 24 hours in mandatory solitary confinement causes permanent damage to the brain? Imagine how damaged Lolita's brain is after 37 years in that tiny tank all alone with no other orcas to communicate with and living in a literal hell

    How can u say they live a full happy life in a bloody swimming pool that is the size and depth of a pea compared to their natural habitat and they statistically die many years earlier than their expected death age in Captivity yes they are beautiful animals and yes their intelligence and how the interact with humans is amazing but to use that for money is degrading to both the animal and the humans would the trainers be happy if they were locked in a small box full of air deep down in the ocean made to perform hours a day for the sea life would ya bollocks let the animals live in their own habitat just maybe their babies would have a better chance if surviving and they could continue to breed so they don’t go extinct

    If I were Satan, I would have a very peculiar punishment for Seaworld CEO. Put him in a concrete room of 2x2 meters and every day, 5 times per day, he has to entertain orcas that come see him perform, for eternity. He can't talk to anyone, he can't see any videos, nothing, all he gets is a ball and occasional demon tosses him a sandwich.
