You saved my day. I've searched all over the Internet how to fix my BCD and no one showed or explained that a Windows 7 Install disc also had a repair option. Or that Rufus is not needed ON a USB to fix an MBR - Rufus is needed ONLY to copy the Windows Install TO a USB. In a little over 4 minutes you showed all that was needed. Thank you very much. 240928
I have this same problem but my laptop can't install operating system both from cd/dvd or from usb drive when i try to install from usb it says that operating system is missing and error uploading operating system. can you help me sir my laptop is hp 2000
First find windows as .iso file download to your pc, then if you want to install windows with usb then use rufus program to put the windows to usb with rufus you format the usb as NTFS and put the windows to usb. If you want to use dvd to install windows you have to do it with power iso program. Before starting with proces make sure that laptop has first boot device usb or dvd not hdd, to do that when laptop start press f2, esc or del button to enter to boot options it depends from laptop what brand is.
