Tradition and Modernity Under same Roof
London's Serpentine Gallery is hosting the first ever exhibition in Britain of the work by the innovative Japanese multi-media artist, Mariko Mori. Mori's imagery combines art history, popular culture, science fiction and traditional Far Eastern spirituality. Inventing her own characters, she directs and performs in tableaux and videos, designs the costumes and sets and writes lyrics to the songs she sings.
