This game haunted me when I was younger. Much to my surprise, when I heard it was getting a 10th anniversary revisit I had to look into it. While doing so, I found this video and I can honestly say that this is probably the best video I've ever seen about this game, it's truly one of the most underrated horror games ever made and to say that you have done it justice is nothing short of an understatement. Subscribed!
Holy crap, man, I didn't expect this kind of praise! Thank you so much! I'm so happy you enjoyed the video, and I hope you're hyped for the Unreal Engine remake of the game. I certainly am! X3
My favourite addition in the game is that when ur walking in between chapters u can see him stalking u throughout the game giving us the feeling of that he is always watching and is always right behind u
Same here, I used to be extremely awful with horror games back then so when I saw slender standing on the hill as you leave the house through the back I was already terrified and quit the game for years until I came back and finally played it and thought it was an amazing experience
The Arrival is what I think every Slender story should be. A tragedy. Slender is not something you can stop. No gun, no tactic, no ritual, nothing can stop him. While I do think not all stories with Slender have to have a bad ending, I don't think they should have a happy one. Slender to me, is a symbol for unstoppable evil. And that sometimes, we just can't stop evil. Also to answer your question at the end of the video, my fav level is Chapter 3.
That is a perfect way of putting it. A story with Slenderman as the opposing force is never one that should be a happy ending. It should be a mediocre ending at best - some good and some bad. Or all bad. Just as long as it's not all good. Slenderman does _not_ fit that kind of fairytale narrative.
Chapter 3 is easily the most terrifying one to me. I don't know how to put it into words, but having both slender and the chaser hunting you down in a derelict mine which is very claustrophobic, comprise a truly terrifying experience
It really does! The music that plays when the Chaser is hunting you just makes it impossible for you to relax, and the fact that you can actually see her moving as she pursues you gives you a harder fight-or-flight response. And like I said in the video, when people play a Slender game, they have different expectations for the gameplay, so this kind of scenario is more powerful as a result.
@@Terrifyger Yeah, I'd never thought of that! You're right, everyone expects to be silently chased by just the slender-man in a sprawling forest. It really is a dramatic change from what we've all been used to. To be frank, even the second chapter which is the defacto slender-man experience also feels a lot more claustrophobic than the original slender: the eight pages. And slender-man's animations really add a whole lot of terror and dread
@@Capy-K Given the relatively better graphics than _Slender: The Eight Pages_ and all that, I did find the second chapter to be more immersive, and therefore more creepy as well. Though it wasn't _too_ terribly terrifying, since it was something I was already familiar with. The chapters that do new stuff are the scariest ones to me, by far.
I feel like the last chapter of this game was nothing short nightmare fuel and its astounding how a game with a lower budget managed to terrify me more than any other horror title I've played through in my lifetime.
Speaking of the last chapter, I feel like we might either get a new ending in the 10 Year Anniversary Update that explains S: Lost Chapters or the same ending that takes place in the Matheson house or maybe perhaps both endings.
Id like to mention the fact that the growling/screech when Charlie entered in the Chapel is a reversed sentence and it gives you the following sentence: "Do as I command, kill him, do you see what he has done" and I did this with every sounds Charlie makes , I reversed the audio and make the speech higher and any it gives Always give the order to kill with a kinda demonic and distorted voice : "Kill him" or just simply : "kill", except for the growl/cry in the house at the start of the game and for some reason, its only a dark/demonic voice but its not distorted, and it says: "keep out, dont walk on the bridge, someone might get angry, there IS someone burried here he wants to see you, you are getting colder" you Can check it by yourself if you want!
I did check it out by myself, and my mind has been blown wide open... you're absolutely right. Like I said in this video, that deep, growling voice is undoubtedly the Slenderman, only he's talking to Charlie here. Saying to "kill him" is in reference to CR, and "do you see what he has done" is referring to him discovering how Slenderman came about, and he wants CR to avoid finding a way to purge him. But what Slenderman says in the house could be interpreted in different ways. This is my take on it. The way I see it, "keep out" is probably referring to the Matheson farmstead, because his next sentence is not "don't walk on the bridge", it's "don't walk on the graves", and the only level that has multiple graves, all grouped together, is the "Homestead" level. With "someone might get angry", he's most likely referring to himself (Slenderman, as he's the one who's speaking), because there's a hefty pause in that sentence, reading it more like "someone might get... angry", with the word "angry" being emphasized, so it could sound more like a threat for Charlie to do what he says. I doubt that Slenderman is at all concerned of anyone else getting angry. I could hear him saying something else before he said "There is someone buried here who wants to see you", and it sounds kinda like "no one is here alive", which could just mean that the place he's standing in - the burned-down Matheson house - has nobody living in it. The person being buried might be Charlie's dad, and Charlie's dad _did_ want to see Charlie again back when he was alive and hadn't burned himself to death. And "you're getting colder" is referring to how Charlie is slowly dying; his body seems to be in an active state of decay, due to being proxified by Slenderman. But this is just my interpretation of it. There's one more instance of Slenderman's growly reversed voice, in the final level, "The Arrival", but it's nothing new. When Lauren is making her way through the shadowy ruined hall to CR's corpse, dress shoes can be heard walking calmly and the growly voice can be heard among them. I reversed the audio there, and it's just saying the same thing: "keep out... don't walk on the graves, someone might get angry... there is someone burried here who wants to see you... you're getting colder...". So yeah... nothing new there. ^^; But thanks for telling me about this! I did know that the deep, growly voice belonged to the Slenderman, but I didn't think that it was actually _saying_ stuff... I thought it was just random growly noises for the purpose of sounding scary. But your find gives much better insight into it! :)
@@Terrifyger I Also doing some research on Charlie's jumpscare, because it have the same kind of "growl" in background, and there IS something Strange, because the church growls are in mono, but his jumpscares audio IS in stereo, and I try to hear something, I only hear "The storm" but it doesnt make any sense AT least this IS what I hear when I reverse the audio and speed it
@@Kyliann-f4tTo be honest, I also tried listening to the scream that Charlie makes when he jumpscares you, since the growly voice can be heard briefly there. It kinda sounds like the voice is saying "yes", as in Slenderman is pleased that Charlie did what he told him to and killed CR.
@@Terrifyger I think these lines, with the exception of the radio tower and Matheson House ones, are actually from Charlie, because they have the same deep voice as his breathing and screams (they're also his audio files). We know Charlie isn't a mindless beast like Kate, since he "plays" with CR in the cellar by running around and giggling whenever the lights flicker to scare him and teleporting away if he gets too close; likewise, he clearly is just toying with CR when he chases him in the field, as he stops and hides whenever CR turns to look at him there. He also just stands there crying when you first meet him, only attacking if you interrupt him. As such, I think he's still intelligent enough to speak. If you listen to the entire audio file from the chapel scene, he says "Who was I/Do as I [unintelligible]. Do you hear me? Do you see what he has done?" (Because it's reversed, you only hear the third line when he breaks into the chapel; the other two are then drowned out by his screaming). "Do you see what he has done?" is simple enough; Charlie is basically saying "Look what he has done to me." with that line. "Do you hear me" is interesting, as it suggests he isn't sure if the player is able to hear him. Given that he can clearly teleport (as shown in the cellar when you approach him), and the camera glitches when he attacks, I think he might have inherited some of Slenderman's powers due to being a proxy, so maybe he is trying to communicate telepathically (How else does Slenderman speak to Kate in Genesis? He has no mouth.), but doesn't know how to do so properly, causing his words to come out reversed. He also asks "Do you hear me?" (with the alternate line "Here I come!") if he gets close to CR in the field but doesn't attack, and he asks this again when he enters the vent in the new level from the remake, which I think confirms Charlie is the speaker, because you're playing as his father there. The third line, I always hear as "Who was I sent to find?" but I'm not completely sure about that one. His jumpscare audio sounds like "I got you." to me, which is self-explanatory. Oddly, though, this one isn't reversed like the others. I agree that the house audio is Slenderman speaking, though. It sounds much more sinister in its tone, so maybe he's mimicking Charlie's voice while taunting him and the player. To me, it sounds like "Keep out... Do not walk on the graves; someone might get... angry... No one came. He's here alive... There is someone buried here/very near who wants to see you... You're getting colder..." I think he's speaking to Lauren when he says "Keep out." and "No one came. He's here alive." In the former, he's warning Lauren to stay out of the house (maybe foreshadowing her death there); in the latter, he's gloating to her about how no one came to save Charlie from him. "Do not walk on the graves; someone might get... angry..." is most likely a veiled taunt to Charlie about how Slenderman killed his family (the graves at the homestead belong to Charlie's relatives), but it could also have been intended early on in development to have this audio to play at the homestead, which would make this a warning to CR not to upset Charlie by walking on the graves of his relatives (just a theory). "There is someone buried here/very near who wants to see you..." could be addressed to either Charlie or Lauren; if it's "buried here," he's probably talking to Lauren about Charlie (though this makes no sense unless Charlie and Lauren knew each other before he was kidnapped, which we have no reason to believe), but I lean towards "very near," which would make it a line to Charlie referencing how Lauren said she should keep a eye out for him after she found his missing poster. I agree with you on the line "You're getting colder..." I don't know why this audio is reused in the radio tower, other than to indicate that Charlie is present (he can attack you if you don't make it to the final room fast enough). The footsteps do sound more like Slenderman's, though, seeing as Charlie doesn't wear shoes.
That would be interesting, but I don't think the voice is Charlie. If he has the capability to speak, then why wouldn't he ever speak instead of just growling? Don't get me wrong, I do think that he does have some ounce of intelligence to him, but I don't think it's enough so that he can talk in his proxified state. That line that you think says "do you hear me" is actually saying "kill him" - you not only have to reverse the hidden dialogues, you also have to speed them up by 200% as well. You'll be able to hear it more clearly then. And yes, this means the voice does say "kill him" when he's in the vents in the "Nightmare" level, too, where you play as Charlie's dad. So yeah, not only is the hidden dialogue in reverse, but it's also slowed down a whole ton. Speeding it up gets the voice to sound more normal, and while it does sound aged and sinister, it isn't nearly as deep as Charlie's growls. And I've tried reversing and speeding up Charlie's growls, and it doesn't come out sounding like a normal human voice, let alone sounding close to what the voice sounds like when reversed and sped up. And the fact that the voices are being spoken WHILE Charlie is actively crying is pretty clear evidence that it isn't him. He can't be openly sobbing while speaking so clearly and calmly like that. When a person cries, their voice sounds choked up and even broken, not at all what the sinister voice sounds like. With the chapel scene, the voice does indeed say "do you see what he has done?", but it also says "kill him". Rather than Charlie saying that about Slenderman, it's Slenderman saying that about CR. Don't forget, CR is the one you play as in the "Homestead" level. Slenderman's talking to Charlie about CR, being like "look, he's investigated the homestead, he's learning too much, do you see what he has done? Kill him". And to further back up the proof that it's Slenderman saying this to Charlie, the only other line that's spoken in that chapel scene is "do as I command". Not exactly the kind of thing that a glorified servant like Charlie would say.
I was over the moon when I heard that the remaster was coming out, and on all days my birthday! I loved the game when I was younger and it was such a full circle moment for me
homestead was also my most scary experience in the game! I was also freaked out when Charlie was following me through the grain as I was trying to reach the locked gate to the chapel!
Yeah, the addition of the wooden tribal drums during that part added some extra tension and also made it a bit more difficult to hear his footsteps, making it unclear how close he was to you. Such a good chapter! X3
Another detail I loved about this game is that you can see the radio tower where your journey ends from the very start. As soon as you exit the car in the first chapter, looking down the road immediately has the radio tower standing in the distance. With the exception of the flashback chapters, that tower is always visible from somewhere, getting closer and closer as you near the end. It's a bit similar to the citadel from Half-Life 2, in a way. As soon as you exit the train station you see this gigantic structure looming over the city. Just by looking at it, you just know that you have to venture inside it at some point. I'm so excited for whatever the newly announced Slender project is. Be it a remake or a sequel, I'm so ready.
That, I think, is why the radio tower is the end goal. It's tall, so it can be seen from a distance, and it's got a light on top, so it can be seen even at night. It makes for a good objective. :)
I have a feeling the illusion you see when Charlie attacks you is actually images of normal charlie trying to yank and tear the tendrils off of him when he was captured but it caused his own skin to be pealed off too or the tendrils have some kind of carosive stickyness to it, both options along with starvation can be why he looks VERY different now
That's a pretty good theory, I hadn't considered that. Though I don't think his skin is peeled off; it looks to be still there - just wrinkled all over, though that could've been caused by Slenderman's tentacles squeezing him.
@@Terrifyger yea probably. I just assumed it was either the tendrils being sticky or skin coming off is because you see a thin material stretching from the sides of his head
@@justalpha9138 Yep. It's called S: Lost Chapters which comes out some time in 2024. It was announced on July 27th just like the 10 Year Anniversary Update for Slender: The Arrival so we got both a remake and a sequel.
To me, it's wonderful to see the game and fandom reviving after 10 years, due to the horrific stabbing. It was good to give the fandom and game some time to relax and sleep before coming back
Agreed. I was already a part of the fandom that whole time, and while I hated the whole stabbing incident, it didn't dappen my view on Slenderman. He's not a real thing, and it isn't his fault, after all.
@Terrifyger same. I still love it to this day. You should definitely check out the 10 year anniversary update. The new secret level is actually terrifying
On Lauren at the end of the story. I think she was screwed either way. 1: If she decided to leave and left her friend to suffer, she would get hallucinations by Slenderman like CR and Kate did as well, which would drive her crazy and commit suicide or slender sickness if she still sane. 2: She will be killed by Slenderman or Charlie once she gets outside or still inside trying to get out when she refuses to help Kate 3. She will either become a proxy by Slenderman with Kate and Charlie stalking in Oakland Park to those unlucky people who trespass. Sadly Lauren died by her friend Kate which might be the most realistic way, seeing her hurt and burned because Lauren was hallucinating.
@@Terrifyger a lot of people said the ending sucked, but if you have common sense into it. There was no way for Lauren to have an happy ending where she escapes and possibly saves her friend from being insane. Slenderman has won
I have to say, Homestead's level design is simply brilliant. It starts open, with quite a few areas of interest to visit, but each new objective directs you to where you need to be, to see what you need to see. The corn field between these areas acts as tall grass for Charlie, another great layer of fear. And after you unlock the gate, the design of the areas and buildings does a fantastic job to funnel you through them with visual and auditorial cues. The side hallway in the church for you to outrun Charlie and lock him in, the Mattheson house in sight paired with the bangs on the church door to rush you towards it, the door breaking down to push you into finding shelter, the trapdoor that drops you right at Charlie's mercy, forcing you to quickly find a way around the house's rooms towards the exit. It's all very well done, in a way that feels pretty damn natural.
That's very true. A setting like this could so easily be designed to be non-linear, but they had there be a clear path through the whole thing, just with some back-and-forth to take as well. That, I feel, was the right choice to make with this level.
@@Terrifyger indeed! It both allows for something that feels very open, and for the linear chases to guide you exactly through the setpieces they want. I think folks say that's kinda like what Half Life does?
I hadn't considered that game doing that as well, but yeah, thinking about it now, I suppose it does. That's something I like about games, if they can make it feel open-world, while still having there be a linear path that isn't too hard to figure out. I know that the game _Remember Me_ was originally designed to be open-world, but it got changed to have a linear path somewhere in development, so it resulted in the game having all these expansive and beautifully detailed landscapes and not being able to explore all of it.
@@Mike14264 I did a whole playthrough of it, actually, if you wanna check it out. It takes place in a future that heavily utilizes a fictional technology, and the main character is kinda like a sci-fi Lara Croft. It's a game that ironically got forgotten to time, but it's genuinely still a lot of fun, and there's definitely enjoyment to be had in it.
For me Homestead then Escape then the mines are the three nightmare inducing moments of this game for me. Truly one of the most underrated games of all time
I agree with that 100%. "Escape" may be short, but its horror sequence feels a lot more hopeless, and therefore more terrifying than "Into The Abyss". But nothing in that game will beat "Homestead". Well, except maybe when the Unreal remake comes out, but that's yet to be seen. XD
Man you're really good at doing this. Slender the Arrival is a cult classic and definitely one of the best Slender fangames of all time. From what I've seen though, some parts are pretty annoying in terms of gameplay, like the burning forest section. Btw have you ever found the 'secret' level with the poster of the kid
I have indeed found the secret level. I mentioned it in the beginning section of this video, though I didn't include it with the list of chapters because I couldn't think of a feasible explanation for it.
The storyline is incredible honestly, I think the idea of having the Marble Hornets crew write the storyline was a brilliant idea! The atmosphere, the soundtrack, and graphics are incredible
I agree! Especially considering that they've had experience making a plotline involving a tall, faceless creature with an imposing psychological force before, too. Some of the hallmarks of their series make their way into this game as well, the most notable being the proxies (even though it's been debated whether Masky and Hoodie are actually proxies or not, since they did their deeds out of free will while Kate and Charlie are essentially puppets), and it's done so well.
It's my favorite horror game, it bothers me that it never had a sequel because of copyright issues and was unfairly criticized at the time, it's of the games that conveyed genuine terror in me and gave me back my appreciation for the character, as for the levels, I suffered a lot with Into the Abyss, it was the level that scared me the most the first time I played it (and I ended up passing it to annoy my brother's companions in a sleepover unintentionally), besides frustrating enormously while playing it due to some unfair deaths that made me abandon the game 2 times along with its terror. Its story on the other hand is fascinating and excellent to me providing a lot of depth and menace to Slender along with the concepts already created around it. Finally I loved the video, I loved to see someone comment on the excellent use of horror in the level design, since they usually only talk about the story, a little bit of music and Homestad/Into the Abyss.
This game honestly has some of my favorite game environments. For one of my modules in my uni course for concept art, they wanted us to take some of our favorite environments in games and analyze them. One of the games I decided to analyze for this project was slender the arrival, and the main environment in it that I analyzed was actually the starting house level. I loved how seemingly calm the game first starts out, like there's nothing wrong except there's hints in the first 1 minute that something is off. The opening theme that plays on the way to Kate's house is chill, but there's something off putting with the low bassy drone that plays in the background of the theme. A tree blocking the road? That's unfortunate but that happens, but if you look to the side you will see one of the phone lines has also been knocked over. Bit of a fan theory here but I always looked at the knocked over tree and phone poll as deliberate acts that might have been done by slenderman himself. He torments his victims by stalking them and isolating them from the people around them, so ensuing Kate or C.R can't make a speedy getaway via car, or call for help via phone seems like a likely thing he would do. Or it could have been C.R since his plan was to kill himself and Kate and make sure no one else got dragged into this mess. Then the walk to the woods that slender chases us in; I love that. It's like the calm before the storm. It is dark and ominous sure, but nothing can hurt you there so it serves as a great way of making the world feel like an actual world, rather than just as small levels. Also a great way to subtly introduce slendy if you notice him in the background.
Wonderful analysis on the level! I didn't notice the fallen telephone pole, but it's a great interpretation that Slenderman did it deliberately so that no one could try calling for help. The "Prologue" level truly is the best way to introduce us to this game. Though, the photo-realistic graphics in the Unreal remake of the game will probably make that first chapter that much more powerful and immersive. X3
Thank you so much! I'm sure that if and when I eventually get big in the future, videos like these will gain a heckuva lot more traction than they already do. Hopefully this'll be the first video of mine to crack 1 million views, because I'm seriously proud of it. :)
Awesome video! I have loved this game so much since it was originally released. I was super excited to hear it was getting an update with an additional level even if I'm unable to play it due to having an older version of the game. I have watched playthroughs though and the new level was..something lol I think it kind of took away from the pure terror of the unknown details surrounding slenderman and tried to be more jump scarey than the other levels of the original game. Still to see it getting an update and so much love all these years later is amazing. Great work on this retrospective you captured the emotions and ambience of each level perfectly
Thank you so much! I'm happy you liked the video! :) If you have an older version of the game, that's no biggie. People who've already purchased the game on _Steam_ can update their versions to the 10th Anniversary edition, with the Unreal Engine, so you don't have to buy the game again or something. All you need to do is just update it and then you can play the version that uses the Unreal Engine! The new level, "Nightmare", is honestly the most frightening level to me. I've made a second video by now that goes over the update to the Unreal Engine, comparing the changes and which version handled them better, and also gave an analysis on the "Nightmare" level. I go more in-depth there on why I feel that level is the scariest, if you're curious.
Watching you go through the game was awesome! Replayed it at least 5 times, but recapping everything is still fun. The atmosphere in this game is unmatched, and I really liked the story surrounding the characters. Definitely my favourite Slender game. The sound design in it is absolutely terrifying - Those static'ish screeching noises that you hear once in a while in the second chapter as you're facing the Slenderman, the distorted vocals, screams and whispers (?) that Kate makes, and then Charlie which makes those absolutely terrifying roars / growls. Charlie personally stood out the most to me. He was too young when he was taken. I did hear that his age is 20 when you see him in-game but still. Like with Kate, you're left with the questions "Why does he look like that?" "Why does he make those sounds?"... I would also like to say that there really is no comparison between these two on who's "scarier". Sure, they're both scary. But when we look into their stories they're more tragic than anything. As for Slenderman, I always found him more interesting than scary. His reasons are (from what I heard) unknown, and The Arrival perfected him really. He's this absolutely malevolent force. Stalking, and doing all those cruel acts just because HE is the one in control. Great work!
@@private.6463 Thank you so much for the kind words! I'm happy you enjoyed watching this video as much as I enjoyed making it. :) The sound design really is incredible; it's one of the things that I'm glad was left untouched when the Anniversary Update came out. The extra distortion noises with the static really was great, and better than just the base static sounds and nothing more. I do think that the proxy sounds are the creepiest, though. Hearing Kate's chittering snarls echoing out throughout the mines is just so unnerving, and the inhuman growls that Charlie makes it just as scary to me, maybe even more so. As to why Charlie looks the way he does, there could be a few different reasons. Could be because he's malnourished and the proxified state he's in kept him alive and prevented him from dying of starvation, coule be because Slenderman coiled his tentacles around him when He caught him and left all those ridges in his flesh. But I personally think it's because that, when a proxy is made, their body functions are shut off to negate their human needs, and if that happens to a living thing, their body starts decaying. So his body's been in an state of decay for almost a decade. His full proxy name isn't "Charlie the Rotter" for nothing, after all. Kate doesn't look as decayed - only paler skin - because she was proxified pretty recently by the time the player reached the Kullman Mines. But yeah, they're both scary in different ways. To me, Kate's scarier if you hear her but don't see her, or if she's actively chasing you, while Charlie is scarier if you see him and he sees you, but he isn't doing anything, just building the anticipation for a scare. Kate's got stronger horror, while Charlie's got stronger terror. But that's just my view on it. Again, thanks so much for watching the video! I've made another video like this for the Anniversary Update, and while it's shorter, it's still very informative. If you liked this video, you'll like that one too. :3
I don't know if I'll make an entirely rehashed redo of the review (that being using the same script I did for this, only with footage from the remake), but I'll definitely do _something_ with it. A full playthrough, of course, and then perhaps a comparison video between it and the original _Slender: The Arrival_ to see which does better in what.
I'm really in love with the way you're describing all whats happening in this game. It brings me so much comfort and it's so unusual. thank you for making that vid!
Thank you very much! I'm glad you enjoyed it! I'm gonna be making another of these types of videos once the Unreal remake comes out later this month. ;3
one detail I SWEAR was in the game but i can't trigger anymore is random family photos flashing in your face for a single frame when youre in the abandoned house with charlie in prologue. it might be exclusive to console like the FIND ME KATE on the wall in the room with the book at the end of prologue
That can happen in the Matheson house in the "Prologue" level, yeah. It's happened to me before. There's more than one photo that can pop up, but they're all taken at the same location and seem to be of the same three people - a little boy, and his mom and dad. I did save one screenshot of it and showed it on the Slenderman wiki, in the discussions for Charlie Matheson Jr. (the Discussions board doesn't seem to exist anymore, so I can't find the link to it). I was told that they're most likely supposed to be Charlie Matheson Jr. and his parents, Diane and Charles Matheson. The event can still happen in the game for me. All I have to do is linger around inside the Matheson house in the "Prologue" level, but it doesn't seem to happen that much if I walk around, and instead has a greater chance of happening if I'm standing still. The first time it happened was when I was looking at a photo in a picture frame, half-buried in the ground, trying to make sense of what was on it, and then one of those family photos appeared for a split second. Mind you, that's not the only thing I need to do in order to get the flash.
Great video! Enjoyed the every last of it. I love the game itself... Brings memories from the first time "Slender" came out, nowadays known as "Slender: the Eight Pages". Now we are waiting for a graphical update/remake :)
i think the chapter that always got me good was the last chapter when you run on the burning forest like, the scenario itself feels like you are in a nightmare that not even your mind is being able to control, it's a complete mess that you cant just stop to try to analize the moment, all you can do is to run for your life and then combining this with the ending where we are basicly against a wall with zero ability to defend ourselves, just adds the final touch to a never ending nightmare like when you really think you are about to die but then you just wake up on your bed in a cold sweat? but this time, it's not a nightmare, is the ending of your story, and you cant do anything to prevent it, other than watching everything unfold right before your very eyes as the lights go out and the pale figure rapidly approaches you...
I played this game many times on console. i love the fact you are able to see slender during the prologue level. Excellent video aswell. very good information about the game 🙂
This game is terrifying. The remake or updated version (whichever it is, we don’t know what it is for now until Wednesday’s release date) is coming out on Wednesday next week and holy crap it looks really good
I really enjoyed this video. I’ve always wanted to play Slenderman The Arrival ever since I saw the trailer for it back a decade or so ago. Finally got a gaming laptop for myself, so I purchased it. I just finished chapter 3. I absolutely love the terrifying music and atmosphere thus far. It frightens me still even after watching reaction videos of each chapter. Thank you for your wonderful video. It was quite informative and interesting!
It just impresses me that Slender the Arrival came 1 year after The Eight Pages, comparing both games It's definetly very different. I really love how this game turned out and the fact they made a 10th anniversary update Is awesome.
theres something I discovered about the Abyss chapter, and idk if its a bug/glitch or what, but if you go to an area thats pitch black while being chased, and turn your flashlight off, and stand still, the Chaser will seemingly be unable to find you, and will run off, giving you some time to think.
I think that's a feature. If you aren't standing in light/don't have your flashlight on, and also aren't making noise, the Chaser will have a harder time finding you. I've been out in the large starting room with her before, and I had my light off and was sneaking around her. She walked right on by and didn't notice me until I turned on my flashlight. Guess all that time spent in the mines didn't get her eyes to adjust to pitch-blackness.
Thanks so much! I do have one more _Slender: The Arrival_ video where it's still on the Unity engine, then of course I'm going to play through the game once it gets remade in the Unreal engine, and then I'm gonna do a comparison video between the old Unity version and the new Unreal version. Plenty more Slender stuff on the way! X3
I never noticed that Charlie chased you in the cornfield until I played the game again for the 10th anniversary update so I wasn't sure if it was a new addition or not. I think I remember hearing footsteps in the original but I would've thought they were hallucinated like in Chapter 2 or just didn't want to stop to find out.
Good thing you didn't want to stop, otherwise he likely would've caught up to you and killed you. Yeah, he does chase you in the cornfield in the Unity version, too, and in the Unreal version, his pathfinding doesn't seem to have changed, so that's good. I _did_ notice that his head now turns to follow you when he runs, so that's some extra scare factor right there.
i beat this game last month on hardcore i have a heart for this great game now that there remaking it or s sequel i cant wait to scare myself once again slender will always have a place in my heart
My theory and understanding of Charlie is that his conscience still exist inside his body and still feels everything but had no control cause slenderman is controlling him and his physical body is very much dead and decayed but preserved from falling apart by slenderman Just imagine that, being forced to be stuck inside of your own corpse still feeling every single thing while having no control of your actions as your corpse is used as a puppet by the slenderman
That's right! When the first announcement of this on _Steam_ was made, before we knew what it was actually gonna be, I made a video talking about it. I'm eager for it! :)
Homestead. I couldn’t handle that crap. I got so annoyed when I thought it was optional and left halfway through only to discover it wasn’t. I did have to get my brother to play chapter three for me though…
@@QueenGoatGirl Yeah, both those levels induce a strong primal fear in the player, "Homestead" doing that moreso for me than "Into The Abyss". Charlie is one of the most pants-sh!ttingly scary horror antagonists I've ever had the displeasure of meeting.
Blue Isle made a remastered version of the game in unreal engine for it's 10 years anniversary. Idk much about it but it is seemingly going to add another chapter.
If by "new chapter", you mean the DLC, then yes, I am! I've already written a lot of the script for my next review video on this game, starting with a comparison between some of the design changes and which is better, and also a rundown of the extended chapter "Nightmare", done in the same style that I did all the chapters in this video here. And once the DLC releases, I'm gonna play it for my channel and then start writing about it in the script as well. I wanna wait until ALL the context for this Unreal remake of _Slender: The Arrival_ gets released, just so that I don't miss anything for this extra review.
Been looking at getting this and your well put together video has maxe me decide to get it ❤ Great video! ❤❤❤❤ Just subscribed as well for more awesome content
There is a new game releasing from their developers called "S: Lost Chapters" idk if it is gonna have to do with Slender or if it's an completely own game but Slenderman is gonna make an appearance it may be possible because why would they mention that upcoming game on the Slender the Arrival website but either way i look forward for this game and for the October Update for Slender: The Arrival
@@TerrifygerDid you know you can see Slender Man stalking you outside from Kates house, he can appear from the hills around the map. Just the fact that he already knows you’re there is terrifying. The mines very intense section of the game, being chased by Kate (The chaser) while also having to deal with slender trying to Capture you, I got caught by him at least 3 or 4 times, that section was very hard, but eventually made it to the end
WAIT PEOPLE FROM MARBLE HORNETS WROTE THIS GAME WELL THEN NOW I GET THE WHOLE FOUND FOOTAGE THING GOING ON AND THAT KATIE DUDE IN THE MINE CHAPTER MUST BE THE INSPIRATION OF HOODIE AND MASKY
What's the scariest level? Um... I'd have to say Memories. It's the only level where victory or escape is not in sight. As soon as you away from your toys and toward the first train set piece, you've lost. Charlie is a victim. And while neither Charlie nor the player realizes that until much later, it ultimately makes the increasing worry of Charlie's parents, and Charlie's own increasing fear hit that much harder. The Homestead and Escape missions, while scary, have the potential for victory, because you know that, in the story of the game, the characters have made it past those points. The Eight Pages and Into the Abyss are both quite frightening as well, but it's mainly due to the RNG aspect of them. But once you've memorized the layout of the maps and have formulated a strategy, it's just a matter of completing your objective. And that kinda takes the fear factor away in my opinion. And while I've played the game enough to not get scared on any of the levels anymore, there's still a level of dread and foreboding and mystery that adds to the experience of The Homestead, along with all the lore present, that makes that my FAVORITE level. But from a pure psychological standpoint, the thought of all your attempts at escape being pointless, and that you walked right into a trap simply out of an innocent childish curiosity is far scarier to me. And the new level in the remake seems interesting, but since I haven't played it for myself as I didn't know the remake existed (and it's not available on Switch), and the only person I've seen play it cut some footage out of the video, I can't speak much on it. But from a first glance it does seem to satiate my desire to see someone driven truly mad by Slenderman.
Interesting take! Having a level where you just feel that you're doomed right from the start does provide a more hopeless feeling, and in a Slender game, that is a good thing. I do prefer the approach of showing you hope, only to take it away from you, and the "Escape" level accomplishes that very nicely, while "Homestead" lets you get away in the end. But knowing the ultimate fate of CR, it doesn't feel too happy when he leaves the farm. And the new extended chapter, "Nightmare", absolutely IS the scariest level in the game to me. In my review of the Unreal update to the game (which is forthcoming), I'll detail why it's so scary to me, but if you wanna see uninterrupted gameplay of it, then you can check out my playthrough. I don't believe I've cut anything out of that, so you can get a nice seamless walkthrough of it that way, along with my paranoid and frightened responses.
@@Terrifyger I did actually play the new level. I went ahead and bought the remake on my Series S and was pleased to learn that I didn't have to play the whole game to play that level. Which is cool. And considering it's in a different menu than the other levels are, it makes me wonder if they're going to continue adding to the game in the future. Either more flashback/VHS levels would be fine, but I also wouldn't mind more Lauren levels added to the game. Maybe a level that takes place BEFORE the start of the game from Lauren's perspective? The game is at the point now where the game flows pretty well from one level to the next from start to end, but I wouldn't mind extending it, either. Edit: Alternatively, instead of changing the game and map to add more levels, I wouldn't mind a well made sequel. Like... WELL made.
@@DarthTingleBinks There is upcoming DLC in the works, and the DLC is supposed to add 3 new chapters that expand on the lore of the game, so I imagine they'll be in the "Extended Chapters" section of the menu, too. I do agree that a sequel would be awesome, but I'm not sure how they could keep the story going from where this game ends. Lauren and CR are both dead, Kate and Charlie are both proxies, and Slenderman wins. That's really about it. The sequel would have to feature entirely new characters, and personally, I don't like it when a sequel to a piece of media does that. I mean, if people play a sequel, it's because the characters from the first game returns, so if there are entirely new characters, then it feels less like a sequel and more like a separate game that follows the same format.
@@Terrifyger It's cool that they're working on more chapters for the game. I'm definitely looking forward to those. As for a sequel... It would be difficult. But I can see two ways it can be done. 1. Like you said, it would focus on new characters. However, considering there is a massive forest fire that will need to be put out, and CR and Lauren, who are both dead, presumably have people who would want to know how they died. Basically just the curse of Slenderman never ending, because it just spreads from one person to the next because... People are naturally curious. 2. Retcon the ending of the game to have Lauren alive, and Kate dead in her place. I mean, like everyone already knows, Kate's model was used in the final shot of the game. It's probably just because they didn't have a model for Lauren (and as you pointed out, the name for the model is Lauren_Dead, but I see no reason they can't retcon the body being dragged away to Kate's. This being said, I'm not sure how interesting a sequel in which Lauren is still alive would be. At least not as a game, anyway. I have had the idea of Lauren surviving for a movie I want to write, but considering the interactive nature of a video game, her surviving wouldn't be very interesting, unless we were, again, playing as a loved one worried about her declining mental health before eventually being pulled into the spiraling web of Slenderman's victims. So basically, a sequel can only play out one way, with whether or not Lauren is dead being the only difference. A prequel, however, exploring the history of the Matheson and Hayes families might be fun. But for now, I'm fine with just new chapters. If they do decide to make a new game, I think speculating on the possibilities will only create unrealistic expectations.
@@DarthTingleBinks A prequel expanding on the Mathesons would be incredible. Their part of the lore has always been the most fascinating to me, and I'd love to get a more in-depth look at it. Hopefully the upcoming DLC will include stuff like that! And yes, the model used for Lauren's corpse being dragged away at the end is called "laurendead", but the thing about the Unreal update, if you've noticed... they didn't reuse Kate's model. They actually gave Lauren her own model now, and she's now wearing clean jeans and different sneakers. So it can't really be retconned to have her now be alive. Unless she's now just unconscious instead and being dragged away to be held captive somewhere, but that doesn't really seem like Slenderman's style.
This is definitely the best one of all the other Slenderman games. The game has a very disturbing vibe i really adore. Its at most times so scary i couldn't play through this game 😂
My thoughts exactly. The tight corridors of the cellar means there's not much space to move, and if you add in the flickering lights and the sounds coming from here and there, plus the fact that there's a feral creature void of all humanity searching for you... it's the most stressful thing in the game to me. At least... it WAS, until the Unreal update happened and they added a new chapter. O~O
@@Terrifyger not to mention the cornfield dawg I was literally crying through that going to the church cause I got lost for a second. THERE WAS AN UPDATE?!?
@@D3RPGOD Oh, yes! I made a video where I played through the update, including the new chapter. I'm even working on another review of this game that's all about the new additions, including this new chapter, though it's not at all done yet. I won't spoil what the new chapter is about, but all I'll say is that it takes everything that scares me about "Homestead" and stretches it to fill the entire runtime. If that piques your curiosity, then by all means, go check it out. The new chapter is called "Nightmare" and it REALLY lives up to that name.
If it's just no different from the original version, only with better graphics and improved mechanics, then I don't see a need to make another review. If it IS a sequel that's entirely different, however, then I'll actually make a comparison video between the two games and determine which is better.
@@Terrifyger Pretty sure it's gonna be a UE5 remake. Unsure if it's gonna be 1:1 to the og, but if it is unreal engine, they have to completely remake the game entirely from the ground up.
@@evanp2578 Ohh... yeah, if it's gonna be on a new engine, then they _will_ have to remake it all. And there's bound to be some changes made to it that the developers would see as improvements to the first, and some people might agree with that while some others might disagree. That would be even more warranting of a comparison video instead of a new review.
@@evanp2578 Yeah, same here. The Unity engine doesn't typically have graphics of THAT high-quality. Granted, _Slender: The Arrival_ originally came out in 2013, so the graphics were good for the time, but by now, they don't hold up as well as some of the games with the more photo-realistic graphics. Which I hope this new _Slender: The Arrival_ thing will have.
Don't forget to do a review of the ten year anniversary Which this game will be an unreal engine 5.2 with extra content Very well done review. You did miss one or two things in the homestead Chapter Like if you'd do you Take a detour. You'll see some creepy Creepy writing on the floor The notes in the church, You should do a one hundred percent game review It'll definitely give you some more lore And everything
Oh, I know. Many of my Subscribers want me to, and it's still in the works. I was gonna wait until all the new stuff (multiplayer mode, mod compatibility, and the DLC) gets released before I make the new review, just so that I don't leave anything out, but the developers had said a while back that those are gonna be delayed until later this year. So I dunno if I should just cover all the new stuff that we currently have, and then do a second video about the upcoming content when that gets released. It'd essentially be like taking the whole review video that I want to make and splitting it into two separate videos. I wanted to avoid having to do that, which is why I waited this long, but now that the upcoming content is being delayed, I'm unsure if I should divide the whole updated review into two videos or not.
The music, no. The outside ambiance does cut out, though - the gentle wind through the trees, the birds chirping... the only things that stick around are the occasional rustling foliage and footsteps through leaves.
@@frogtheneonsaber Yeah, every time I take a shortcut to the house, the outside ambiance cuts out once I enter the house, but the music doesn't. And in this video, I didn't say that the music cuts out once you enter the house.
@@TerrifygerWell, it's a sequel to Slender: The Arrival. And so far, other than it being announced with 5 screenshots of the game, nothing else has been updated yet.
It's been done to death when this game first came out. With her get-up, she does indeed resemble Jeff, and many people thought she _was_ Jeff at the time.
I love Isolate and No friends theme. And mune music is beautiful. THEY ARE THE BEST. The game is great. The atmosphere is the most important thing in the game. Charle is the most fearless charecter of the game. But his story 😢😢😢. I am not scary to say that SLENDER THE ARRIVAL IS MUCH BETTER THAN OUTLAST. yeah u can hate me, i allowed
The soundtrack really was composed beautifully. The wistful, mysterious, ominous, and even panic-inducing tones are all played out with such grace in the music, no matter where it's occuring. And I agree that the atmosphere is the most important thing in the game, and the developers knew that too, because the atmosphere is absolutely stellar. (I also haven't ever played _Outlast_ before, but I know how fantastic _Slender: The Arrival_ is, so I _guess_ I'm inclined to agree? XD)
I would really love this game if it wasn't a blatant copy of the first Slender game, gameplay wise. I love the into stage, but the gameplay feels extremely repetitive afterwards. The difficulty balance is also very weak, sometimes the game is ridicolously easy, and other times I can't proceed futher no matter how hard I try. Love the lore and the atmosphere, but gameplay is a total dissapoitment.
Well, when your main source material is a game where all you do is wander in a forest and collect 8 pages while avoiding a paranormal entity, there's only so much you can do. But that _was_ a common complaint with this game back when it first came out, and by now, there's thankfully more chapters that're more lore-based. It certainly isn't the greatest horror game in the world, not by a long shot, but it's definitely the best Slender game that exists out there.
@ its been out since 2014 brother😂 i played this on flash games and years later on the ps3 and now its on mobile and current gen consoles lmao you had 10 years to play this game its just funny idk bruh
@@SILENTHILLFOREST Dude... I literally first played this game YEARS ago. Search "slender the arrival" in my videos and you'll find my playthrough from years back. I only made an actual review of it right here. 😅
It did, but that was before it got ported to the _Steam_ store. At which point, it now has the ending where you're in the basement with Charlie and find Kate crying, no matter what difficulty you're playing on.
Thanks for the tip, will use this as a guide for something i might make with the creature itself
@@Terrifyger I totally agree. It's just that i never expected the already familiar parts to be this different 😅 And honestly, i like that
When I first played it, I had a panic attack
But this is just my interpretation of it. There's one more instance of Slenderman's growly reversed voice, in the final level, "The Arrival", but it's nothing new. When Lauren is making her way through the shadowy ruined hall to CR's corpse, dress shoes can be heard walking calmly and the growly voice can be heard among them. I reversed the audio there, and it's just saying the same thing: "keep out... don't walk on the graves, someone might get angry... there is someone burried here who wants to see you... you're getting colder...". So yeah... nothing new there. ^^;
But thanks for telling me about this!
You're getting colder..."
I think he's speaking to Lauren when he says "Keep out." and "No one came.
Very well done Terrif. I’m happy that some people still appreciate this game
I am as well. Thank you!
I was over the moon when I heard that the remaster was coming out, and on all days my birthday! I loved the game when I was younger and it was such a full circle moment for me
Late Happy Birthday!!!
homestead was also my most scary experience in the game!
Finally someone who appreciates the game like I do!
That's exactly what I say whenever I find someone who absolutely loves this game as well. X3
I'm looking forward to the 10 year anniversary update coming out in october, with completely remastered visuals and updated character models!
Don't forget about the new chapter as well.
@@squishyman0829 NEW CHAPTER ????
@@VuddyProductions Yep.
@@squishyman0829No way... Is that real??
@@justalpha9138 Yep. It's called S: Lost Chapters which comes out some time in 2024. It was announced on July 27th just like the 10 Year Anniversary Update for Slender: The Arrival so we got both a remake and a sequel.
4:52 HES. RIGHT. THERE.

@@Terrifyger I happened upon it today 🤣
@@ameliafireheart3963 Well, you oughta take a look, then. There's a few videos I've done regarding the Anniversary Update.
On Lauren at the end of the story. I think she was screwed either way.
1: If she decided to leave and left her friend to suffer, she would get hallucinations by Slenderman like CR and Kate did as well, which would drive her crazy and commit suicide or slender sickness if she still sane.
2: She will be killed by Slenderman or Charlie once she gets outside or still inside trying to get out when she refuses to help Kate
3. She will either become a proxy by Slenderman with Kate and Charlie stalking in Oakland Park to those unlucky people who trespass.
Sadly Lauren died by her friend Kate which might be the most realistic way, seeing her hurt and burned because Lauren was hallucinating.
It probably was the best option for her at that point, too, if these were really her alternatives.
@@Terrifyger a lot of people said the ending sucked, but if you have common sense into it. There was no way for Lauren to have an happy ending where she escapes and possibly saves her friend from being insane. Slenderman has won
@@coyzn Yeah, I think they might've said the ending sucked because it wasn't a happy one. But who expects a happy ending in a Slender game, after all?
@@Terrifyger oh really? Hmm, I didn't know that game actually...
At 6:22 slender man watching Lauren as she turns on the generators I think that’s his way of telling her to leave and not come back
For me Homestead then Escape then the mines are the three nightmare inducing moments of this game for me.
@@Terrifyger I knwo right! I've always associated Kate with Hoodie in some ways they're similar, but definitely not the same lol good point
Actually there’s a new one coming out!!!!
It’s either a remake or a sequel!! It looks awesome!!!!!!
@@mynameisretepIt's both it seems, a complete visual overhaul of the original Slender: The Arrival game and a sequel!
The ESCAPE chapter was also frightening because if this is a memory, she and also US are doomed to be caught by Slenderman.
Game has gotten even better now after the update
It _absolutely_ has! I'm working on editing my playthrough video of the game right now and I'll see about uploading it tonight! ;)
amazing to see the actual game getting a remaster too this month, slender is back on the menu boys
I wonder if those flash images of Charlie represent his torment and madness after his abduction but before he was fully turned
It's very possible... that's something I never considered.
Excellent work. That's a shame you don't have many views, I expected you to have millions of it.
You have mine still.
If you have an older version of the game, that's no biggie.
The sound design really is incredible; it's one of the things that I'm glad was left untouched when the Anniversary Update came out.
Beautifully made and narrated. Will you review the remake? (October this year)
I don't know if I'll make an entirely rehashed redo of the review (that being using the same script I did for this, only with footage from the remake), but I'll definitely do _something_ with it.
I'm gonna be making another of these types of videos once the Unreal remake comes out later this month. ;3
Can't wait then!@@Terrifyger
one detail I SWEAR was in the game but i can't trigger anymore is random family photos flashing in your face for a single frame when youre in the abandoned house with charlie in prologue.
it might be exclusive to console like the FIND ME KATE on the wall in the room with the book at the end of prologue
@@Terrifyger i'll try that out, thanks for letting me know
I read that video is 5 minutes long... But than I pressed play. It's 50 minutes long. Oh my god I am so glad it's that long. Let's go!
Great video! Enjoyed the every last of it.
I love the game itself... Brings memories from the first time "Slender" came out, nowadays known as "Slender: the Eight Pages".
Now we are waiting for a graphical update/remake :)
i think the chapter that always got me good was the last chapter when you run on the burning forest
like, the scenario itself feels like you are in a nightmare that not even your mind is being able to control, it's a complete mess that you cant just stop to try to analize the moment, all you can do is to run for your life
and then combining this with the ending where we are basicly against a wall with zero ability to defend ourselves, just adds the final touch to a never ending nightmare
like when you really think you are about to die but then you just wake up on your bed in a cold sweat?
but this time, it's not a nightmare, is the ending of your story, and you cant do anything to prevent it, other than watching everything unfold right before your very eyes as the lights go out and the pale figure rapidly approaches you...
That is an excellent way of putting it.
this was a fantastic recap of the game! Helping me bide my time until the remake drops. Thanks for making this!
It's my pleasure! The remake should be dropping tomorrow, actually. :3

It just impresses me that Slender the Arrival came 1 year after The Eight Pages, comparing both games It's definetly very different. I really love how this game turned out and the fact they made a 10th anniversary update Is awesome.
I agree. I already thought this was the best Slender game ever, but the Unreal update that was made to the game just reinforced that opinion.
theres something I discovered about the Abyss chapter, and idk if its a bug/glitch or what, but if you go to an area thats pitch black while being chased, and turn your flashlight off, and stand still, the Chaser will seemingly be unable to find you, and will run off, giving you some time to think.
@@Terrifyger It makes sense for it to be a feature, I just wasn't entirely sure haha

A remake of Slender: The Arrival? God, I hope so.

@@WeirdLuigi An update would be acceptable, too.
My theory and understanding of Charlie is that his conscience still exist inside his body and still feels everything but had no control cause slenderman is controlling him and his physical body is very much dead and decayed but preserved from falling apart by slenderman
Just imagine that, being forced to be stuck inside of your own corpse still feeling every single thing while having no control of your actions as your corpse is used as a puppet by the slenderman
That's... honestly really messed up. It would make the plot of _Slender: The Arrival_ that much darker.

Those elements do make more sense, yup. :)
@Terrifyger so basically this is marble hornets the game
@@riofanl3638Well, no, not exactly. Marble Hornets doesn't have the Slenderman in it.
I don't blame you. The rirst time I ever got the game, I was too scared to play through it at first, and I heeded to work up the courage. 😅
A true masterpiece that has stood the test of time and always will forever. Just like the legend of Slenderman itself.
And it makes it even better that said masterpiece is a Slender game. :)
10….years. Oh shit I’m getting old.
We all are, a little bit every day. But 10 years makes it _really_ add up. ^^;
I love slender the Arrival. Its one of my favorite horror games its so good
I completely agree. A very effective horror game, and the #1 best Slender game out there. X3
This video isn't the only thing slender related that's remastered... You'll be happy to know that blue isles remade the game
Go check the most recent video on my channel.
Yeah the mine is scary but H O M E S T E A D. I literally was shaking the entire time and the cellar....
Well, you gotta remake this review AGAIN because the remake (and possible sequel) is releasing
@@Terrifyger I'll be surprised if the game is on unity due to the graphics from the teaser look amazing.
What does the creepy writing say?
You should review the 2023 remaster!
@@Terrifyger oh, I get you. Well I’d be fine with waiting if you’d prefer to. 👍
@@benjaminthomas332 Glad to hear it!
I dont remember the music stopping once you enter the house
The music, no. The outside ambiance does cut out, though - the gentle wind through the trees, the birds chirping... the only things that stick around are the occasional rustling foliage and footsteps through leaves.
@@Terrifyger well i can explain why. About the music. I took a shortcut to the house.
@@frogtheneonsaber Yeah, every time I take a shortcut to the house, the outside ambiance cuts out once I enter the house, but the music doesn't. And in this video, I didn't say that the music cuts out once you enter the house.
@@Terrifyger i must have misheard you
@@frogtheneonsaber I agree.
Chapter 3 is the best.
Did they release something new the game ??
Any thoughts on their new game, S: Lost Chapters?
It hasn't been released yet. But once it does, you better believe I'm gonna play it.
@@TerrifygerWell, it's a sequel to Slender: The Arrival. And so far, other than it being announced with 5 screenshots of the game, nothing else has been updated yet.
Is anyone gonna talk about how the chaser looks like Jeff the killer?
It's been done to death when this game first came out. With her get-up, she does indeed resemble Jeff, and many people thought she _was_ Jeff at the time.
@@TerrifygerYOU REPLIED ALREADY!?
@@BlobbyBobby Umm... yes? ^^;
@@TerrifygerI just didn’t think you would reply that fast but thx 👍
@@TerrifygerBy the way I found your review very interesting and nice 👌 😊
Did Kate get more donuts recently?
She did! I can tell because she's more energetic than usual.
@@Terrifyger that explains why there's more hype ._.
I love this game
Me too. :3
XD)
@Terrifyger Man.... just play Outlast, you won't regret it.
@Terrifyger Bro, I did a review on fnaf. Could you watch it and tell me if it's okay or not?
THE SECOND GAME IS RELEASING TODAY GENTLEMEN
It sadly isn't, actually. Just the trailer for the redone version on the Unreal Engine 5.2. But it DOES look incredible!
@@Terrifyger yeah i saw... still exited non the less!
You just played it?
What do you mean, "I just played it?"
Iirc the original version of this game had a hardcore ending where you end up getting thrown from the top of the radio tower
It did, but that was before it got ported to the _Steam_ store. At which point, it now has the ending where you're in the basement with Charlie and find Kate crying, no matter what difficulty you're playing on.
@@Terrifyger I would’ve liked an explanation for the change
