As a parent whether young or old we are not responsible for our children’s mishaps we can only teach them and hope they follow. Being a teen mother will not dictate if your child will be a success or not. My parents had me in their 30’s, they are successful. I had my son at 16, I am successful and he is a straight A student and MVP in everything he engages in. Nothing dictates life but life itself. And yes they are hating because I’m sure their faves are Cardi, Nicki, City girls and thee stallion but I’m sure they don’t judge them the same.

I'm 46 and my twins are 19, I tell them to get you college degree and if you want to have kids wait until your in your 30's. If you don't want to have kids that's okay too. Now a days, there are so many things that is offered a young person and fields. My kids saw how I struggled at my job because I don't have a college degree. So, thankful, I'm not a grandparent, God forbid now, my kids are way way too young to have kids.

Im glad that Jason is willing to breakdown and unpack his issues with color. I dont agree with all he says...and I can tell he's still wading through it but I am really proud of him...Colorism really affects us dark skinned women and Im glad that people are finally willing to talk about it without treating us as if we're loopy! Its a global concept.
