As someone who played this game for a hot minute, I would say that the water towers are really good with strategy, also a tip for you is to unlock the middle and top paths of the buccaneer as it's hot shot attack doubles due to the double shot attack
Just a few tips if you are going to play this again. First, the submarine gets rid of camo, second the spike factory is really good if you place it at the end and finally for the submarine the advance Intel they can see the other monkey range.
Yo socks, tip for the future: the top Path for the alchemist monkey gives buffs to other towers allowing them to pop leads, have a larger range and much more. However, other towers have to be in the alchemist's range for these buffs to be applied. Also, the bottom Path for the banana farms will instantly pick up the bananas for you
