I'm very fond of some blends like you are and you can't find those just anywhere. I'll get those from the mlm's because they really are worth the money but then I have less expensive options for my single oils and may find new faves with the companies that do make special blends.

My favourite essential oils are actually the Ellia brand ones that came with my diffuser. I have continued to purchase their sweet orange and peppermint oils and I mix them in my diffuser, I love it! I also like Tisserand essential oil blends.

I recently purchased some oils from Florihana after doing some research on which company to go with and I'm very pleased with them! I would also love to try plant therapy too but I live in england and shipping is a bit much! I was pleased with Florihana shipping costs and received my order within a few days and the oils are great quality and all are organic! Reference books (of different ages) are mixed on digesting EO. I am prone to agree with you. I have enough of a response to EOs from topical use and diffuser. I’m not excited about trying to use it internally. A drop of Peppermint oil equals 75 cups of tea. Amazing. A great video. Thanks.

This was a very informative video. Thanks! Like you, I watched Mary’s videos too and have purchased a bunch of oils from Florihana. I have been very happy with my purchases. You can purchase directly from Florihana’s US site and get free shipping for orders over $100. I also have the Kid Safe line from Plant Therapy which is decent, I just have to play with them more. Most recently, I have been purchasing a bunch of blends from Eden’s Garden which are just beautiful!

I really love that you are not biased to just one essential oil company and instead have made the intelligent choice of doing research, as well as trying different, though all quality, oil companies to find the ones that work best for you. I have been doing the same. I really love Eden's Garden and Plant Therapy (these are the bulk of my EO collection). There are a couple doTERRA oils I like. Florihana is next on my list to try. I also ordered an oil (Rosewood) from Rocky Mountain Oils, for a blend I have on my list to make. Have you tried any oils from them? If so, would love to hear a review from you. Your comment about the mind, body, and soul working together and needing to be equally balanced is dead on -- one affects the other. Great video! Thank you for sharing. :-)

One more thing - do you know if any of these companies you mention ever say where they source there plants. There should be a way to find out the original source of the plant crop used for each batch that is made, then that info should be on the receipt when I buy the oil......Ok I like what you just said about Florihana - i will lookup if Healthy traditions delivers in Canada - thank you for you're video!
Yes, most, if not all, say where the plant originates from either on the actual bottle or on their website under the descriptions :)
I ingest peppermint oil when i get an upset stomach. I have for years. 1 drop in a tall glass of water, and within seconds, i feel better !!
Correction: 1 drop peppermint is the equivalent of 28 cups of tea. Not 75 cups of tea.

@@robertolson3115 relax, lol. They aren't using it all day everyone knows it's strong. And literally every essential oil I know purifies the air soooo no need to cancel them. They are made out of plants on earth how are they doing anything problematic to the air it needed to grow with?
@@icebabe2257 - Essential oils are solvents. Plant derived solvents. They are one of the highest VOC products on the planet. They release Terpenes, Toluene, and Benzene. When The Terpenes mix with Ozone it synthesizes formaldehyde among other toxic secondary aerosols. Due to the popularity of the essential oil scandal, they are one of the biggest sources of indoor air pollution today. When it comes to good health, there is no substitute for clean air free from solvents. Just like the second hand smoke issue, please be considerate of others and stay 100 feet away when using essential oils.

Thank you! I personally diffuse oils around my dog but never by her cage or in a closed room. There are some oils that could be problematic. Searching 'pet safe essential oils' should pull up some ones to avoid/use with caution. Thanks for watching!
So~Great video! I love all the info and you are gorgeous!! I have been using strictly Young Living essential oils and while I love them, I've found myself questioning if I want to continue to purchase from them exclusively. I have a friend who has an enormous collection of Hopewell Essential Oils and she can't get enough of them! Their oils smell exactly like YL only maybe not as strong, but that could be because she's had her oils longer and mine were all newly opened. She has at least 3 huge cases and I checked out their site and it is AMAZING! Seriously folks, you need to go check it out! So much information, testimonials about how they've been used and helped people!
Also, I'm really drawn to Eden's Garden! All of it looks so lovely and my almost 11 year old was like, "Why aren't we buying from them!" She totally wants the entire kids line! So cute. I also want to try the body oils and perfumes and candles!
I have been on a mission lately to figure out the financial side of it all. I know I've been on Essential Rewards for almost 2 years, so I get 20% back in rewards for all of my purchases (soon to be 25%) to spend on more products, but I'm thinking about actual money in my bank account, not just always more products. Then again, I do get money when people buy the kits or sign up for ER or just place an order, but there's this part of me that has a hard time knowing you can purchase oils that work and are pure for a fraction of the cost. Just because I make some money on them doesn't necessarily make me feel like a better friend. Ya know? I enjoy getting the check, don't get me wrong, but mostly I feel like I should suggest other companies that are much more affordable. It's a conflict of interest for me for sure.
Like I know my daughter and son-in-love can't afford essential oils at this point, but I want them to have them and use them for my grandson, so I am thinking I'm just going to gift them a set, but when they run out, they still wouldn't be able to afford to buy at YL price point. So, I'm thinking I'll start with Plant Therapy because that's what her best friend uses and she loves them just as much as I love my YL oils.
All that to say, I'm excited and I feel like I have more power and freedom now! I've been on these sites you've mentioned and Healing Cave Lady is great as well for her info, so Florihana is at the top of my list to try as well! So SO exciting!!
One more thing...did no one else notice the little angelic orb that floated across your face near the beginning of the video? It was so cute! It flew past your face above your head and then back again! :)
Angela Hixon thanks so much for your sweet comment! Yes, the affordability of oils is an important topic. The MLM company oils are so expensive and I truly don’t think they need to be. It leaves a huge amount of people unable to purchase them. They are a great tool to have and I think more people would be willing to try them if they knew high quality companies like Plant Therapy, Eden’s Garden, Florihana, etc existed. I will definitely have to check out the Hopewell you mentioned! I love Eden’s Garden - their body oil line is amazing and I’m anxiously waiting to try their perfumes, candles and salt soaks. Great comment! I just started YL and I feel disappointed about what I'm finding out about how they work and the history of the creator. I'm also on a YL group that seems pushy about signing people up but they say they just want to help people. This video was very helpful without me feeling pressured or like YL is the only brand that's safe.

Rocky Mountain oils has a blend called tummy rub. It’s their version of what DoTerras digestzen is. I stopped buying the digestzen and will never go back. Really love this RMO blend. You should try it out.

Bonnie Bartlow no not at all, but realized I was paying so much more for oils just to pay someone’s commission, and could get better oils from more reputable companies in the aromatherapy professional world. Honestly when I think of mlm, I think of paying more money for a just ok product. I do not think of professional aromatherapists using an mlm brand and you don’t see many that do! I can smell the difference when I smell SOME doterra oils, especially the peppermint, compared to my florihana oils (who I prefer over RMO for single oils). I believe doterra sells pure oils but i do not even slightly believe they are as high quality as they claim. That’s why I switched to brands that most aromatherapists tend to use which are mountain Rose herbs, Florihana and plant therapy as well. As for Rocky Mountain oils I feel like RMO is the non mlm brand of doterra with many blends that are the same, which is why I go with them when I want a similar blend as doterra has, like tummy time. Hope that answers your question.
Anna Wixom doTERRA does show you exactly where the plant is sourced from, and how. Just so you know. Not saying any is better, but not every single bottle of oil comes from the same crop, or exact location- so doTERRA on the bottom of their bottle, has a number to look up exactly where that single bottle comes from, when and how. 😀
Cassie Chase yes all the reputable oils should show you where they are sourced from and be completely transparent. MLM companies are just too overpriced though and it’s just not worth it. There are better companies that have been in the essential oil game way longer and don’t have to over price their product because they are not MLM. So I stick to those brands that came first and paved the way for brands like DoTerra.
Florihana does do their own blends on their website.

You said that both Do Terra and Young Living say you can take their oils internally. That is only partially true. Both do tell you they have some oils that can be ingested, but they also do warn against ingesting some oils. They both do tell you that some are extremely dangerous to ingest.

BillieCarol1 yes, I do believe you are correct that they do differentiate between which oils are ‘safe’ to ingest. But my issue really is that each person’s body chemistry is different so saying a blanketed statement on dosage, etc is not a great idea. Even the oils they deem safe may not in fact be safe for certain people. Each person needs to do their own research and come to their own decision. I appreciate your comment! Thanks for watching ☺️

Oh no, could it have improved? Trying to be optimistic! After watching this video I actually changed my mind about ever ingesting an essential oil..I find myself effortlessly persuaded by all the advice given..it just so happens I find it to be heaven sent! I wanted to compliment you Alli Mashman for your beauty and thank you for your wisdom! I also share your your faith and admire your spirit..I’m glad I learned more about why doterra burns a hole in my pocket as well ..but.. in truth I’ve never really been able to afford it all! I’m not sure how I happened to have a bottle of concentrated cleaner (onguard) in my cupboard for so long but when I finally realized it was doterra I wondered why I hardly ever used it, since I had no idea it was expensive but in retrospect it was clear I saved it because it worked really well on any bad smelling mess in the kitchen ..with the bonus of fantastically “smelling” amazing!!! like spices-cloves and cinnamoniny goodness! Like home-holidays-& hugs long ago when I was a kid and would fall into my grandmas arms”. I miss those days and yet It’s almost scary how a scent can take you right where you long to be! I never wanted it to be gone!! The cleaner that is! (I never dreamed I would lose my grandmother when I was 11..I didn’t think I could..since ...I wouldn’t have ever agreed to live in a world without her! ). Life was so good then.. Anyway I thought I’d tell you about it if you haven’t tried it.. I’m ordering some for my baby’s grandma for Mother’s Day.. I hope someday she will find herself with my daughter in her arms and feeling the love I know only a grandma of a granddaughter she cherishes can feel. My grandma made me know she loved me. All the plants, oils, medicines & miracles on earth could not cure the heartbreak I still suffer from her loss.. but sometimes in little unexpected ways.. through a song or soft breeze carrying warm and exotic scents...and most pleasantly through ..the beauty of grace that is evident in your face (and a few others I’ve seen)... I get to feel that warm embrace once again.. I get to go home..where I so often long to be. So thanks! I do not digest any essential oil even if they say are safe for my skin, yes, but only if they are truly organic and made in the US, not China.

I was putting yl lemon oil in my water and I felt great for about 2 months then I ended up in the er with stomach problems, they said I had severe heartburn and a possible ulcer both "probably" caused by ingesting essential oils! Essential oils my distributor said were "perfectly" safe for ingesting! On another note lemon is supposed to aid in heartburn relief not cause it.

Eden’s Garden is NOT therapeutic grade. I started my aromatherapy journey with them and most of the oils were rancid in a short period of time and after switching to Rocky Mountain/ Young Living, it’s NIGHT and DAY difference! I know it’s expensive but YL is worth it for me.
What do you think of Revive essential oils? Do you think that they're legit?
I have not personally tried them but it's a red flag for me that they do not list their GCMS reports to prove purity of their oils. I would stay away unless they can provide that evidence. Hope that helps!

I live in Europe, and would love to buy from Florihana, but their shipping cost even within Europe is the highest I have ever seen on any website: 20 EURs (even with an order above 150 EUR), very discouraging.
Britta Simon wow that is crazy! I’m really surprised by that. I buy from a company online that’s within the States. Maybe try contacting Florihana and seeing if they have a vendor closer to your area.
Yes, I wrote them yesterday as soon as I saw that crazy shipping price. They might have a vendor in the area, but I doubt it. Essential oils are not that big of a thing here in Hungary. Also, we are both located in the EU, ordering and shipping should be the easiest straight from their website.I hope to hear back from them soon, but customer service in the EU is nothing like in the US. If you have a problem as a customer, companies don't really care or do any action about it.
I know isn't it crazy! Their shipping added about $3.50 per bottle. So I found healthytraditions.com in the U.S. and it was 1/3 the cost!!

Florihana do not charge 3.50$ per oil for the shipping. There shipping price is based on the order weight not total value. Furthermore, most companies are including their shipping cost in the product price so the customer ended up paying for it without noticing it. Florihana is trying be transparent about it and offer high quality essential oils at a competitive price. However, the transportation cost they are displaying is what it actually really cost to ship the order.

One thing I do recommend getting from young living is Thieves oil. It actually is taken with water. It may not taste the best, but if anyone in your family is sick, Thieves actually prevents you from getting sick, or helping you get better.

Actually Mountain Rose Herbs provides a recipe for Thieves on there blog. I've tried both and the MRH recipe works great.
Yeah I love thieves oil! We were hit with the tummy bug and thieves killed it within 30- 1hr my whole house stopped diarrhea and vomiting
I saw on a mlm group I am apart of that they recommended for a pregnant woman to put a couple drops of peppermint oil in their water and I was thinking, that can’t be good at all.

It's funny a company named with essential in it can be on any label they send you. How do you know that the oil they sent you is ESSENTIAL it's not labeled
DoTerra literally was founded by members of Young Living who left. They're basically the same company. 🤷♀️
You do know FDA has a list of essential oils that can be ingested.

I just ordered my first set of Plant Therapy. Currently I have artnatural which is my very first oil set which arrived today. But heard bad things about it so I just bought plant therapy because I dont want to harm my kids ages 8, 11, and 13. I bought everyone a defusser for there own rooms. I'm nervous because I don't want tol hurt the kids.

I take oregano oil 5% with olive oil - i saved my life as I could not breath very well as an x smoker. Almost right away it started clearing my lungs. I've been taking a very small dose when i feel congested for 4 years now - i feel a hundred time better.
