InterswitchSPAK 4.0 - All the Best Moments from the Grand Finale

Hero: “For the very 1st time in the history of #InterswitchSPAK, we have 4 girls at the grand finale. How does that make you feel?”
Orevaoghene: “I’m very excited! And I’m excited to see what the girls would do this time because we’re definitely prepared to shock everybody in a positive way!”
And shock us all the girls went on to do!!! 🤩
Africa watched with bated breath on Sunday 29th January 2023, when for the first time in the 4-year run of #InterswitchSPAK Nigeria, 16-year old Orevaoghene Whiskey from Top Faith International School in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria became our 1st-ever female #champion (winning NGN7.5 million naira worth of Scholarships in the Bag, a brand new PC and the coveted bragging rights as Nigeria’s STEM champion. Not only that, we produced our 1st ever female 2nd runner-up as well, Precious Akinyemi, who went home with NGN4 million, a brand new PC and her own fair share of bragging rights!
From a journey which started with over 18,000 students across 36 states in Nigeria, Orevaoghene remarks that ‘in the beginning, it felt like I was just one little drop in the biggest ocean that has still never existed, but now I’m number 1 out of 9....it is not by my abilities, it's only by the grace of God!'💪🏽
We can't wait to see what exciting future awaits our #SuperSPAKs and we're thoroughly inspired and reinvigorated at #Interswitch by these young champions to #NeverS20P pushing the boundaries of #STEM excellence across Africa!
