well let's consider the fact that by fighting you literally drop the treasures that you have to carry and if the thrall gets killed while carrying say derketo cat idol then you loose out on building up you treasury and another player gets to get the hand up on you so honestly while the idea is a good one their is just too much of a double edge sword now i'd rather carry one of the treasures with my thralls being my body guards along with my friends we'd be doing the whole caravan guard style with weapons drawn and be saying stuff like "this is some fine booty we've gotten today captain" and we'd be just role playing it in the themes of pirates and other treasure hunters
@@williamsearcy8981yes, this ideia is more because I usually play solo... So the ideia of "escort duty" while the bearer carries the load is very nice personally. Even with the war party I could bring the bearer and double team with another thrall tp protect it. But you make a valid point indeed

Fishing appears to have been majorly changed. No more improved traps or I'm guessing, the ability to catch more exotic fish for buffs!

If they come for your coffer, then it makes sense to have a remote bastion “honey pot” base with coffer and treasures, massive defences and nothing else rather than as you mentioned, having the purge rampaging through your home.
Well, at least you can start collecting and then just move things. But yes, it will be interesting to see how the Purge will work exactly in order to plan more strategically.

Thank you! No, only the Heroic Treasures require the placement within the Coffer radius, otherwise they'll disappear. Smaller treasure placeables can be used as deco elsewhere as well, they just don't count towards your coffer then. Sorry, should have been clearer about this one!

Thx a lot for your video. I build a treasure room last night and start hunting for stuff to fill it. I recognized, that you can find figures but couldn't deposit them in the room. To fix it, press and hold left mouse. Otherwise they will dissappear. And my gold stacks will not counting after a relogg. Hope they fix that.
Thanks. I agree that the vault could do with a redesign, but for the purpose of the treasure room, I personally prefer the chest. Maybe we get more options in the future.
You can also fly with your treasures in creative mode if you pick it up while already in the air and teleport anywhere on the map with it when in admin mode. Creative mode will also let you duplicate any treasure as much as you want and each item will count in the coffer. For example if the bountiful treasure chest valued at 500 and you duplicate it five times it will show all five in the coffer and will say value is 2500. When chapter two comes out there is a way to keep players and npcs from taking your treasure. While in Creative mode build your base over water and place your treasure room deep under water. Npcs can't go there and players can't swim with it.
I found a Legendary chest in New Asgarath last night and walked it back to my base... luckily, I did have a thrall with me set to attack all, because I got jumped by 3 different groups on the way!
I just found out if you really want to have the heroic treasures you can carry around the materials for a teleport stone and carry them thru to your base
If you're up for sorcery (and the taitned corruption), transportory stones are definitely a great way - if not the best way - to get these big treasures home.
Well the game decided it didn’t wanna say that if I put 131 gold, 50 silver and a couple rare gems that a massive 200+ tier 2 enemy wave would spawn (: that was my first one and I’m in the middle of it rn it’s pain
Oooohh, good luck with that. However, the game does indeed tell you which difficulty of Purge you will get. When you interact with your coffer to proclaim your wealth and start the Purge, you can also see the Threat Level corresponding to your value. It's shown in the lower right bottom of the coffer UI. Threat Levels range (currently) from 1-10, with 10 being the absolute hardest difficulty. Of course that assumes you know all that, and the game is not really explaining that anywhere, so I guess we can call this "trial and error" or "get rich or die tryin'". 😂
Haven't played the new season yet, but who in Funcom thought it will be fun to walk from one side of the map to another in slow pace carrying some statue? It os boring to do the trip on the horse yet alone walk slowly. Unless, they make it attachable to a horse or something I do not see many people going for it.
Whoever came up with this, must have been a RP on World of Warcraft, they love walking slow while roleplaying. I absolutely hated it. This is nuts, who would want to walk this slow. lol
With the function of teleport stones I don't think as many are gonna have issues as you would think. It's not hard to get treasures back, just find a near by location put a teleport stone down, activate it, carry treasure to it and your back to your base. You can go back later and remove teleporter if your worried about people using your teleporter to get to your base
@@johnhimes8660 i know that, but here is another issue I have - the esthetics of the game suffered massively lately, because now you have loads of "little mushrooms" all over the place with teleport inside. Plus, I do not like getting corrupted all the time by using teleporter. Its just not my thing

There definitely are, but we found them a little harder to find in general - maybe due to how the areas are laid out. We'll make sure to cover it, but didn't have too much time to focus on Siptah yet.
Honestly I just hope the enemies during a purge still prioritize targeting the player over everything else, I hate the building mats grind in this game and probably will just go back to Elden Ring if my base gets wrecked while I’m trying to defend it. Unless say the new currency system let’s you buy high end building mats in packages- that’s actually be pretty fun.
Oh one comment about carrying the treasure after picking them up , you can not get too deep in the water or it drops and you will be lucky to pick it back up

my friends and I of PS4 and PS5 are all looking forward to it we have our own server where our clan is a mercenary clan all the other clans can hire our clan to help them out in purges, dungeon diving, fighting wars with other server kingdoms and if their rival kingdom wants us to not get involved they pay double the hiring price to keep us neutral i'm not always on due to work but when i am we are always practicing strategies for when age of war officially starts

Thank you! Yes, Purges will be a voluntary opt-in feature starting with Chapter 2 of AoW (until then they are still normal). So if you don't want to be purged, you don't need to participate - and if you want to, you will be able to decide when (and we presume how badly, depending on your accumulated treasures).
Useful info. If your playing on a private server, every time the server resets for the day all the heroic treasures disappear. So if your not on official don't waste your time with them for now.
If you're referring to the Heroic Treasures falling through the floor, it seems today's hotfix has addressed this issue - even if it wasn't in the patch notes.
Honestly when going to get treasure, just make a portal at home, then carry the mats to make a portal nearby so you can just teleport inside your base.
@Pergoth1 Tried it with the Controller on Xbox and it's similar with the "dropping" issue. For getting the radius, try to hold a bit longer, for placing it, pressing the same button very quickly after positioning the object worked best. Couldn't test for PS unfortunately.
Gold bars seem to be the most valuable so we started farming that... we're around 700,000 on the ledger now so purges are probably going to be brutal. Most likely over a million by the time chapter 2 hits.
Somebody has been busy! 😀 You can put max 100 x 1000 Gold Bars into the coffer, so the max you can reach on the ledger is 3 million + any placed treasures. Good thing that the Purge won't surprise you anymore come Chapter 2, but needs to be manually triggered, so at least you guys can be well prepared! Curious to see what the difficulty thresholds will be.
Still not seeing the value of this treasure system. Is it not on the PTB? The incentives are really what needs discussed if we are going to talk about this.
I can't tell, does the treasure room zone extend through walls? Meaning, if I have a treasure room right below a bedroom, could I put a Derketo Cat in my bedroom and still have it count? Or do I have to have one big ass room to put all my treasure?
The radius definitely goes through walls, so it could cover several smaller rooms or even an outside area of your base, depending on how you build it. I imagine it will also extent up to a certain height, but will have to test that. Will let you know.
@cliffhamrickwrites2378 Just tested it and the radius of the treasure coffer extends upwards in the shape of a dome. Meaning at the centre of the treasure room, you'll have roughly 7 floors height where you could still place treasures in a radius of approx. 5 foundations. The further you go out from the centre, the lower the height (imagine a dome like shape if that makes sense).
@@Pixelcave Thanks! So it sounds like the best way to build a treasure room is the put it in the center of a base on about 5-7 foundations high. Then most of the base will be in range and you can spread out the treasure. That might help with thieves and purges too.
There are no dedicated NPCs or chests that drop specific treasures, the Harp could be loot from any chest, NPC or boss. It's random luck - hopefully you'll find one soon, it's a nice deco piece.
The smaller treasures aren't not dropping as loot at all in my game 2 days of mass killing and looting everything no treasures. The big ones are a joke to take back to base . I just lost 3 level 19 thralls and it would have taken me a hour to walk. I just given up
If you are that far away from the locations, I would definitely suggest building a map room/transportory stone nearby. Regarding the smaller Treasures, we had a mixed experience - one of us found several on a regular basis, the other one nothing for ages - no matter how many chests/NPCs were looted. So it seems very random - aka luck based.
The Purge is optional and can be triggered by you, that includes PvE servers. All you need to do is build a coffer and fill it - or your treasure room - with treasures (the more treasures the harder the Purge). When you are ready to defend your base and coffer, you can "Proclaim your Wealth" at your Treasurer/Coffer and it will start - as long as the Purge can access you base (which can be buggy at times). Do the heroic treasures respawn? I had one fall through the floor and when trying to remove the foundation to get to it, I accidentally picked it up in my inventory. Sadly it is no longer placeable.
There's a bug currently where Heroic Treasures fall through the floor upon relog/server restart. You shouldn't be able to add it to your inventory though, they can only be picked up and carried. I guess the statue is a loss, as if it doesn't register that it's placed within the glowing radius, it would despawn. Might be worth waiting for a fix from Funcom's side before hunting for more Heroics, as the current situation is extremely annoying.
A question occurs. Can you pick the heroic treasures back up once they've been placed in the coffer? For example if you decide to move you base to another location with better access to some resource or another, or even just more space to build in?
Yes, you can. Unfortunately though, you will have to move them one by one, the same way you brought them home - by carrying them slowly. I suggest to have a map room or transportory stones nearby your old and new base for ease of moving. Also, keep in mind that ones moved outside of the coffer radius, the Heroic Treasures will despawn after a while - so best have a new coffer at the new base in place and then move them from the old to the new coffer so they can be moved and placed securely. If you want more space in your old base and move them around, you can also place multiple coffers.
Has anyone had problems where you carry hat cT halfway across the map put it in your treasure room clearly inside the radius and it still disappears when you leave rendering distance? Or I got this jade horn that when I placed it it was listed as adding to my wealth but now it doesn’t show up in the wealth listing but is still in my room?
When i place down the golden cat statue next to my coffer, it doesnt get added to my list of riches, nor do i see the glowing swirls when i go to place it. What am i doing wrong? Im on Siptah
When carrying Heroic Treasures and wanting to place them, click LMB (alternatively press RB/R1 on console) to get the glowing radius up, then press the same button again to place.
So, what happens when a clan has more than one treasury? Is that fine, does it cause issues, should that only happen if they are very spread out from each other? I tested and can have two treasuries and they count as separate from each other as far as the treasure stored in them. I am just trying to figure out if my friends should consider splitting the clan up or not, unless its very simply no big deal.

I mostly play solo so even know i have followers to protect me while i pick up treasure bring it home why am i not seeing any purge or enemies coming to attack my home to steal my treasure ?
On Siptah I'm filthy rich with gold bars and ore but on the Exiles Lands I'm a silvenair, farming chests and obsidian nodes just don't reap enough gold. Lol
do they just not spawn in single player? I've only ever played (seriously) on RP servers or in just, a singleplayer game, and I haven't bothered with RP servers since before the battlepass system, so now I only play in singleplayer, and I've never seen a treasure spawn.
Where they spawn in a location is random, e.g. there might be 3-4 different spots on the Black Galleon where it can be, and so far we always found them in single player without issues. Oh, man - there's not "a chance you may be ambushed." Those fuckers showed up every few yards, and may follower and I had to keep fighting them all the way home. Getting that chest back to my keep took FOREVER. And then it despawned because I didn't know you're supposed to secure it in a hoard! Talk about frustrating...
My question is about the gold and silver.....some crafting recipes require gold and silver..so with the treasure system implemented does that mean that finding gold will be easier?
With the games mechanic gold is way too easy as is. Especially since there is a known exploit involving gold and silver. Turn any gold bars you find into coins. Then smelt them into bars. For some reason you always end up with more bars then you started. Repeat the process til you have enough gold and silver to suit your needs

Im not good in english, perhaps I missed it but HOW do I set the purge off even I want to place all this nice things as deco everywhere and not only in one area or room? And do this ambush only attack me while I am carrying stuff or all time so that is dangerous to be afk or whatever?
All the Purge changes, as well as the Ambush mechanics will only arrive with Chapter 2 of AoW. We don't have the finer details on how things will work exactly yet, but we'll make sure to cover it once it arrives on Public Beta in approx. 3 months.
Not entirely, your treasures will become currency in future updates, and it sounds like we'll be able to purchase useful stuff with it, not only purge related. If you don't care about the decorative stuff, I guess you could also just build the coffer into a tiny space and fill it with gold bars. It remains to be seen if bigger treasures have any more importance in future.
From our experience it's pretty random where you find them, they can literally drop from any NPC or chest. If there are some particular areas, we'll make sure to share it.
How do you build a treasure room? I can't get this feature to work, I don't even have a coffer to build, I only have a treasure chest. When I build that it's just a fancy chest, no NPC and no glowing area comes with it. I made a guild but that made no difference
Hm, are you using any mods that could potentially interfere with the feature/coffer? The coffer you need to build can be learned at Level 20 and is found under Decoration in your Knowledge. In the Construction Hammer menu it's listed under Decorations > Treasure. Is that the one you have built?
@@Pixelcave Yeah, it seems to be a mod, I had no 'Treasure' tab in my build menu. I don't have many, going to have to reinstall them one at a time. Bizarrely enough it was a mod that made building pieces cheaper.
As explained in this guide, you will be able to use the fortune of your treasure coffer as currency in future update. Furthermore, the value of the treasure coffer will be linked to the new purge mechanic coming with Chapter 2. So it's not just decorative.
@@Pixelcave but can you eventally sell these items for anything. i mean i used to be on a server that had a currency system built by the players on the server that was based on mined stone. this system kind of just seems like a maguffin to reguate a purge meter. like can you sell found items for cash?
We don't know how exactly the treasures will convert to currency, that's the big question. Maybe once you pay some stuff things will be disappear, converted... or maybe it will be just the gold/silver that's getting used. I guess we'll know more come Chapter 2.
You can use some of treasure as decoration, yes, but as explained in the video, Chapter 1 of Age of War was just the beginning of this Treasure System. Chapter 2 introduced the revamped Purge System and that's closely tied to Treasures. Depending on the value in your Treasure Coffer, you can summon Purge Attacks of varying difficulty (from Threat Level 1 to 10). The Purge Attackers will always try to reach your Treasure Coffer and steal its contents if possible - the more treasures, the harder the attacks. This system is totally optional though, if you don't want to get purged, simply don't activate them.
From what we know, you can still place a Treasure Coffer and collect treasures, the Purge will be triggered "manually" when you want it to happen. Hopefully we'll learn more about how exactly that will be done when we're getting closer to Chapter 2.
Pick up your coffer and place it somewhere else, just make sure to also move all treasure that's not anymore within radius so they don't disappear. You can also have multiple coffers.

Looks like there's an issue with Heroic Treasures falling through the floor upon server reboot. You'll most likely find them under your floors, just make sure to replace them properly - hopefully a fix is underway.
You can teleport in SP as admin use the console commands or simply using the map. There's Pippi Mod who adds warps, and if I'm not wrong they are like the teleport system.
As explained, the amount of treasure you own in your coffer, allows you to trigger Purges of different difficulty levels. Furthermore, you can use treasure (and convert it to Gold) to purchase items from e.g. the Trader that (can) appear at the end of a Purge, or buy items and hire NPCS in the new Tavern System that arrives with Chapter 3 of Age of War.
The only way would be to build a bridge, or alternatively, you use map rooms/transportory stones to travel across more difficult terrain. Unfortunately, you can't swim while carrying Heroic Treasures.
Yes, you can do everything solo. On a PvP server it could be a bit more of a hassle, but on PvE you just need to be careful and be prepared to clear your path when looting and bringing home Heroic Treasures. But you can do everything from building a Treasure Room, finding the various treasures, etc.

I can see them making this a thing. Maybe up the thrall count by 1 or 2 to support bearer thralls carrying it caravan style.
I think they should add Pearls to treasure so it has some other use than trade in on Exile Lands. Siptah (I believe) it is worthless.

I just found out if you really want to have the heroic treasures you can carry around the materials for a teleport stone and carry them thru to your base
If you're up for sorcery (and the taitned corruption), transportory stones are definitely a great way - if not the best way - to get these big treasures home.
Well the game decided it didn’t wanna say that if I put 131 gold, 50 silver and a couple rare gems that a massive 200+ tier 2 enemy wave would spawn (: that was my first one and I’m in the middle of it rn it’s pain
Oooohh, good luck with that. However, the game does indeed tell you which difficulty of Purge you will get. When you interact with your coffer to proclaim your wealth and start the Purge, you can also see the Threat Level corresponding to your value. It's shown in the lower right bottom of the coffer UI. Threat Levels range (currently) from 1-10, with 10 being the absolute hardest difficulty. Of course that assumes you know all that, and the game is not really explaining that anywhere, so I guess we can call this "trial and error" or "get rich or die tryin'". 😂
Some of those ambushes are brutal
Haven't played the new season yet, but who in Funcom thought it will be fun to walk from one side of the map to another in slow pace carrying some statue? It os boring to do the trip on the horse yet alone walk slowly. Unless, they make it attachable to a horse or something I do not see many people going for it.
Whoever came up with this, must have been a RP on World of Warcraft, they love walking slow while roleplaying. I absolutely hated it. This is nuts, who would want to walk this slow. lol
You can use teleport stright to your base
With the function of teleport stones I don't think as many are gonna have issues as you would think. It's not hard to get treasures back, just find a near by location put a teleport stone down, activate it, carry treasure to it and your back to your base. You can go back later and remove teleporter if your worried about people using your teleporter to get to your base
@@johnhimes8660 i know that, but here is another issue I have - the esthetics of the game suffered massively lately, because now you have loads of "little mushrooms" all over the place with teleport inside. Plus, I do not like getting corrupted all the time by using teleporter. Its just not my thing

There definitely are, but we found them a little harder to find in general - maybe due to how the areas are laid out. We'll make sure to cover it, but didn't have too much time to focus on Siptah yet.

Honestly I just hope the enemies during a purge still prioritize targeting the player over everything else, I hate the building mats grind in this game and probably will just go back to Elden Ring if my base gets wrecked while I’m trying to defend it. Unless say the new currency system let’s you buy high end building mats in packages- that’s actually be pretty fun.

Oh one comment about carrying the treasure after picking them up , you can not get too deep in the water or it drops and you will be lucky to pick it back up

also, since the update came out, my warehouse look pretty neat with all those coin and treasure laying around, want to build it in the main building but it's too small, the offer even came with an NPC too so you have some company in vanilla game too! you know, besid ethose thrall whose A.I. alway have a breakdown and came tell what is left path and right path is
my friends and I of PS4 and PS5 are all looking forward to it we have our own server where our clan is a mercenary clan all the other clans can hire our clan to help them out in purges, dungeon diving, fighting wars with other server kingdoms and if their rival kingdom wants us to not get involved they pay double the hiring price to keep us neutral i'm not always on due to work but when i am we are always practicing strategies for when age of war officially starts

Thank you! Yes, Purges will be a voluntary opt-in feature starting with Chapter 2 of AoW (until then they are still normal). So if you don't want to be purged, you don't need to participate - and if you want to, you will be able to decide when (and we presume how badly, depending on your accumulated treasures).
Useful info. If your playing on a private server, every time the server resets for the day all the heroic treasures disappear. So if your not on official don't waste your time with them for now.
If you're referring to the Heroic Treasures falling through the floor, it seems today's hotfix has addressed this issue - even if it wasn't in the patch notes.
Did you check the treasure list to see if they were still being listed there?
Honestly when going to get treasure, just make a portal at home, then carry the mats to make a portal nearby so you can just teleport inside your base.

Took me the longest PS5 to place large statues. Hold down R1 when you reach treasure room. Then R1 again to place it.
pressing R1 drops the statue and crouches for me, could you please explain?
@Pergoth1 Tried it with the Controller on Xbox and it's similar with the "dropping" issue. For getting the radius, try to hold a bit longer, for placing it, pressing the same button very quickly after positioning the object worked best. Couldn't test for PS unfortunately.
Gold bars seem to be the most valuable so we started farming that... we're around 700,000 on the ledger now so purges are probably going to be brutal. Most likely over a million by the time chapter 2 hits.
Somebody has been busy! 😀 You can put max 100 x 1000 Gold Bars into the coffer, so the max you can reach on the ledger is 3 million + any placed treasures. Good thing that the Purge won't surprise you anymore come Chapter 2, but needs to be manually triggered, so at least you guys can be well prepared! Curious to see what the difficulty thresholds will be.
Still not seeing the value of this treasure system. Is it not on the PTB? The incentives are really what needs discussed if we are going to talk about this.

I can't tell, does the treasure room zone extend through walls? Meaning, if I have a treasure room right below a bedroom, could I put a Derketo Cat in my bedroom and still have it count? Or do I have to have one big ass room to put all my treasure?
I heard it can be place below, but I have not much of clue sadly.
The radius definitely goes through walls, so it could cover several smaller rooms or even an outside area of your base, depending on how you build it. I imagine it will also extent up to a certain height, but will have to test that. Will let you know.

@cliffhamrickwrites2378 Just tested it and the radius of the treasure coffer extends upwards in the shape of a dome. Meaning at the centre of the treasure room, you'll have roughly 7 floors height where you could still place treasures in a radius of approx. 5 foundations. The further you go out from the centre, the lower the height (imagine a dome like shape if that makes sense).
@@Pixelcave Thanks! So it sounds like the best way to build a treasure room is the put it in the center of a base on about 5-7 foundations high. Then most of the base will be in range and you can spread out the treasure. That might help with thieves and purges too.
anyone know where to get the Harp?
There are no dedicated NPCs or chests that drop specific treasures, the Harp could be loot from any chest, NPC or boss. It's random luck - hopefully you'll find one soon, it's a nice deco piece.

The smaller treasures aren't not dropping as loot at all in my game 2 days of mass killing and looting everything no treasures. The big ones are a joke to take back to base . I just lost 3 level 19 thralls and it would have taken me a hour to walk. I just given up
If you are that far away from the locations, I would definitely suggest building a map room/transportory stone nearby. Regarding the smaller Treasures, we had a mixed experience - one of us found several on a regular basis, the other one nothing for ages - no matter how many chests/NPCs were looted. So it seems very random - aka luck based.
I've been playing on a PVE server and I haven't seen any Purge is the purge going to be part of the Pve as well
The Purge is optional and can be triggered by you, that includes PvE servers. All you need to do is build a coffer and fill it - or your treasure room - with treasures (the more treasures the harder the Purge). When you are ready to defend your base and coffer, you can "Proclaim your Wealth" at your Treasurer/Coffer and it will start - as long as the Purge can access you base (which can be buggy at times). is there a way to dress the thrall that spawns with the treasure coffer? Mine spawned naked and I don't see an option to to add close.
What? Haha, that shouldn't be - the treasure coffer guy usually always wears clothes. Do you play with mods, could be a conflict?
Do the heroic treasures respawn? I had one fall through the floor and when trying to remove the foundation to get to it, I accidentally picked it up in my inventory. Sadly it is no longer placeable.
There's a bug currently where Heroic Treasures fall through the floor upon relog/server restart. You shouldn't be able to add it to your inventory though, they can only be picked up and carried. I guess the statue is a loss, as if it doesn't register that it's placed within the glowing radius, it would despawn. Might be worth waiting for a fix from Funcom's side before hunting for more Heroics, as the current situation is extremely annoying.

Yes, but the new purge rework will only arrive with Chapter 2.
A question occurs. Can you pick the heroic treasures back up once they've been placed in the coffer? For example if you decide to move you base to another location with better access to some resource or another, or even just more space to build in?
Yes, you can. Unfortunately though, you will have to move them one by one, the same way you brought them home - by carrying them slowly. I suggest to have a map room or transportory stones nearby your old and new base for ease of moving. Also, keep in mind that ones moved outside of the coffer radius, the Heroic Treasures will despawn after a while - so best have a new coffer at the new base in place and then move them from the old to the new coffer so they can be moved and placed securely. If you want more space in your old base and move them around, you can also place multiple coffers.

Has anyone had problems where you carry hat cT halfway across the map put it in your treasure room clearly inside the radius and it still disappears when you leave rendering distance? When i place down the golden cat statue next to my coffer, it doesnt get added to my list of riches, nor do i see the glowing swirls when i go to place it. What am i doing wrong?

When carrying Heroic Treasures and wanting to place them, click LMB (alternatively press RB/R1 on console) to get the glowing radius up, then press the same button again to place.

So, what happens when a clan has more than one treasury? Is that fine, does it cause issues, should that only happen if they are very spread out from each other? I tested and can have two treasuries and they count as separate from each other as far as the treasure stored in them. I am just trying to figure out if my friends should consider splitting the clan up or not, unless its very simply no big deal.

You need to pick it up and slowly carry it to your Coffer Room and place it there (that you need to build in your base). I believe we show all this in the guide, is there anything we could have explained better?
I mostly play solo so even know i have followers to protect me while i pick up treasure bring it home why am i not seeing any purge or enemies coming to attack my home to steal my treasure ?
The new Purge rework where attackers come for your treasures is coming with Chapter 2 (as explained in the video).

On Siptah I'm filthy rich with gold bars and ore but on the Exiles Lands I'm a silvenair, farming chests and obsidian nodes just don't reap enough gold. Lol
I have Vaults full of gold and silver. Does it count what’s in a vault within the Coffer area or does the Coffer hold an insane amount?
It needs to be in the coffer, it has 100 inventory slots, so you can store a lot.
do they just not spawn in single player? I've only ever played (seriously) on RP servers or in just, a singleplayer game, and I haven't bothered with RP servers since before the battlepass system, so now I only play in singleplayer, and I've never seen a treasure spawn.
Where they spawn in a location is random, e.g. there might be 3-4 different spots on the Black Galleon where it can be, and so far we always found them in single player without issues. in the movie did they choose if and when they were purged? LOL they should have fixed it instead of messing it up. the purge was to be a threat, now its optional and summonable .....

Oh, man - there's not "a chance you may be ambushed." Those fuckers showed up every few yards, and may follower and I had to keep fighting them all the way home. Getting that chest back to my keep took FOREVER. And then it despawned because I didn't know you're supposed to secure it in a hoard! Talk about frustrating...
My question is about the gold and silver.....some crafting recipes require gold and silver..so with the treasure system implemented does that mean that finding gold will be easier?
I don't believe anything has changed. Since you are not obliged to add your Gold and Silver to the coffer, you can still use it for crafting.
Finding gold is really easy allready though.
With the games mechanic gold is way too easy as is. Especially since there is a known exploit involving gold and silver. Turn any gold bars you find into coins. Then smelt them into bars. For some reason you always end up with more bars then you started. Repeat the process til you have enough gold and silver to suit your needs

Im not good in english, perhaps I missed it but HOW do I set the purge off even I want to place all this nice things as deco everywhere and not only in one area or room? And do this ambush only attack me while I am carrying stuff or all time so that is dangerous to be afk or whatever?
All the Purge changes, as well as the Ambush mechanics will only arrive with Chapter 2 of AoW. We don't have the finer details on how things will work exactly yet, but we'll make sure to cover it once it arrives on Public Beta in approx. 3 months.

Not entirely, your treasures will become currency in future updates, and it sounds like we'll be able to purchase useful stuff with it, not only purge related. If you don't care about the decorative stuff, I guess you could also just build the coffer into a tiny space and fill it with gold bars. It remains to be seen if bigger treasures have any more importance in future.

From our experience it's pretty random where you find them, they can literally drop from any NPC or chest. If there are some particular areas, we'll make sure to share it.
Basically any chest in thrall camps and some dungeons, I got mine as I was farming accursed camp near middle of Isle of Siptah.

How do you build a treasure room? I can't get this feature to work, I don't even have a coffer to build, I only have a treasure chest. When I build that it's just a fancy chest, no NPC and no glowing area comes with it. I made a guild but that made no difference
Hm, are you using any mods that could potentially interfere with the feature/coffer? The coffer you need to build can be learned at Level 20 and is found under Decoration in your Knowledge. In the Construction Hammer menu it's listed under Decorations > Treasure. Is that the one you have built?
@@Pixelcave Yeah, it seems to be a mod, I had no 'Treasure' tab in my build menu. I don't have many, going to have to reinstall them one at a time. Bizarrely enough it was a mod that made building pieces cheaper.

As explained in this guide, you will be able to use the fortune of your treasure coffer as currency in future update. Furthermore, the value of the treasure coffer will be linked to the new purge mechanic coming with Chapter 2. So it's not just decorative.
@@Pixelcave but can you eventally sell these items for anything. i mean i used to be on a server that had a currency system built by the players on the server that was based on mined stone. this system kind of just seems like a maguffin to reguate a purge meter. like can you sell found items for cash?
We don't know how exactly the treasures will convert to currency, that's the big question. Maybe once you pay some stuff things will be disappear, converted... or maybe it will be just the gold/silver that's getting used. I guess we'll know more come Chapter 2.

I would think that you would drop the treasure upon death, so I doubt it works. Worth a try though.

I'd say Gold Coins will be treated the same as any other loot in your inventory.

You can use some of treasure as decoration, yes, but as explained in the video, Chapter 1 of Age of War was just the beginning of this Treasure System. Chapter 2 introduced the revamped Purge System and that's closely tied to Treasures. Depending on the value in your Treasure Coffer, you can summon Purge Attacks of varying difficulty (from Threat Level 1 to 10). The Purge Attackers will always try to reach your Treasure Coffer and steal its contents if possible - the more treasures, the harder the attacks. This system is totally optional though, if you don't want to get purged, simply don't activate them.

From what we know, you can still place a Treasure Coffer and collect treasures, the Purge will be triggered "manually" when you want it to happen. Hopefully we'll learn more about how exactly that will be done when we're getting closer to Chapter 2.

Is there any way to move your Treasure Area?
Pick up your coffer and place it somewhere else, just make sure to also move all treasure that's not anymore within radius so they don't disappear. You can also have multiple coffers.

Seems like even in PvE People can steal your heroic treasures, unless they despawn on server reboot.
Looks like there's an issue with Heroic Treasures falling through the floor upon server reboot. You'll most likely find them under your floors, just make sure to replace them properly - hopefully a fix is underway.

Im sure PC modders have already made a mod that allows thralls to carry treasure or they may have already got a mod for instant teleportation.
You can teleport in SP as admin use the console commands or simply using the map. There's Pippi Mod who adds warps, and if I'm not wrong they are like the teleport system.

Yes but what does wealth do?
As explained, the amount of treasure you own in your coffer, allows you to trigger Purges of different difficulty levels. Furthermore, you can use treasure (and convert it to Gold) to purchase items from e.g. the Trader that (can) appear at the end of a Purge, or buy items and hire NPCS in the new Tavern System that arrives with Chapter 3 of Age of War.
Do you guys know how to cross a river while carrying?
The only way would be to build a bridge, or alternatively, you use map rooms/transportory stones to travel across more difficult terrain. Unfortunately, you can't swim while carrying Heroic Treasures.

Yes, you can do everything solo. On a PvP server it could be a bit more of a hassle, but on PvE you just need to be careful and be prepared to clear your path when looting and bringing home Heroic Treasures. But you can do everything from building a Treasure Room, finding the various treasures, etc.
