Get back to Co. Loving the enthusiasm, you understand this differentiates you from the other UA-camrs by a long shot. You come across as real, and maintain attitude throughout. I suffer from severe PTSD, All combat related. This makes it difficult for me to deal with fake or disingenuous people. So by getting a dose of the authentic personality traits you express, gives me a good, and positive vibe to start my day. So thank you. Sometimes it's the little things that can be so very important. Thank you for spending time, and energy. Greatly appreciated. A Veteran thanks you.

Glad that you have had the opportunity to see the biodiversity in the tropics. The hummingbirds truly are amazing. The Squirrel Monkey had a cataract in the left eye, giving it the zombie appearance. Another outstanding video!

Wonderful! I traveled to Costa Rica and Guatemala back in the film days, about 1994. I would love to return. Only advice I have: don’t skimp on bug juice, between ticks and mosquitos, you might bring back a stowaway such as the human bot fly larvae like my husband did. Fascinating but long story reserved for my closest friends :D

Greetings from Ireland. Fabulous shots Mark love the Scarlet Macaws, love the stories too. I was in Costa Rica a few years ago as a total beginner with my Nikon D7100 on automatic!!!!!. Based on some of your other videos I recently bought a Nikon D500 and 80-400. However now Im wondering about the 500mm f4. I love wildlife and birds, can I get shots similar to yours with my 80-400?

The animals in Costa Rica are amazing and you got some great shots. You are definitely moving up the camera equipment food chain, now using the D850 and the Nikon 500mm F4. A minor point to think about for future videos, the room echo detracted from the sound quality in the opening and closing monologues. I always appreciate that you provide the camera settings for the photos. It looks like the lighting varied a lot in intensity.

    • @MarkSmithphotography

Love your enthusiasm. So in this video I learned about wildlife, I learned about photography, I had a few laughs with your humor and I was awed by the beautiful video and photographs. My favorite part were the leaf cutter ants, amazing and I never knew those facts about them. I'm headed to the FL Keys in February, any suggestions on where to shoot other than the obvious ones like Bahia Honda, 7 mile bridge, etc? Thanks for another very entertaining video.

Key West has a nice park full of birds, two of them but I can't remember their names. Keep your eyes open for the Great White Heron. There are a lot of them down there and they are kind of rare. Thanks for watching.

Dude, I really like how you are putting the settings under the photos. Im constantly trying to figure out what ranges are best and these help me out a lot for guide lines. One quick question though, were these all (or most) hand held?
