Given I started playing the game non stop after Ellen's banner was gone Soukaku is currently my only Ice character so I hope to get Miyabi because she is legit one of my favorite characters in the game alongside Billy, so far I only have Von Lycaon's engine, not even Von Lycaon himself, the game gave me Soldier 11 and Koleda, it wants me to stay warm for the winter that is coming. XD
I was hyped hoping I could use her instead of pulling for Ellen, but an ice sub dps... not sure what I'm gonna do with that. I mean, I guess I could still use her as a main dps, I'm sure there'll ve guides on what we need to make that happen

this would be a bummer if it's confirmed she's first...I was actually FINE with the idea of her being pushed back a patch for an Ellen Rerun since I've been pulling since I got my (very Lucky) Jane/Lycaon 10 pull, right into a guarantee for Burnice, and now...the ONLY way I can see getting BOTH Yanagi AND Miyabi is if I win 2 50/50s or MAYBE I get lucky somewhere along the line and get an S-rank early and potentially get Miyabi later in her banner.
If Miyabi is an on-field greedy unit, then why would you ever run her with Yanagi, who also wants her field time (and doesn't benefit from Crit buff)? It doesn't seem to function as some kind of quick swap team if both of them want time on field. Wouldn't Burnice be better for off-field anomaly Sub DPS or just other supports in general like Lighter who also buffs Ice damage?
With Yanagi's passive not needing section 6 to be active, Ithought maybe they tried to design section 6 to be like, a leader faction, because they were filled with elites means they could work with everyone else as the main show. Maybe thats why both Yanagi and Miyabi are both an on field dps

Literally every other faction could work with their own faction despite their types, but the elites of section 6 doesnt need their faction because each of them are already basically the main power force in any team, except for soukaku. Its more of flavour text than actual mechanic, but it sounds interesting to me.

i think they're not releasing miyabi because she would "cover" yanagi, and less people would pull for her. i would wait 2/3 days, so the people who wanted to pull yanagi can do it, and then maybe they will release miyabi. also because it's too early to do reruns, so...
@hikarugenji1737 idk, when new characters come out i often read in the comments "sorry x, but i have to skip you and pull for them". then maybe there are people who like yanagi but miyabi more, and if they don't know about miyabi's banner they don't even think about miyabi and pull for yanagi
Given how her supposed kit works, she has to be the one apply freeze for her Ice-scorched status to take effect. And since it increases crit damage on the enemy, it means she'll focus on those stats. That makes her an on-fielder.
@@danish2.012 Characters that have been drip marketing will not be dripped again in the reruns version. They will only announce the banner in the live version of that version. That is mihoyo's tradition for all games.
So ZZZ devs thought they were being sneaky with not drip marketing Miyabi😂. When all other Hoyo games drip market their upcoming characters properly together ZZZ now is the only exception. Bruh this is more shady than genshin devs not giving players proper anniversary rewards 3 times in a row😂. Not a good look I say. And if they pull a " Oh we wanted to surprise u" prank and drip Miyabi 1 day before 1.4 drops I can say with confidence people are not gonna be happy especially low or mid spender cause they tend to see drips and use monthly cards to save up pulls. An Ice-Fire Disorder team that buffs Ice+Fire and lets Miyabi stay on-field after Lighter stuns. Miyabi is such a generic Sword character/trope and a foxgirl but it works lmao. That's why she's so popular. Though if they re-run Ellen next to her (1.4 speculations based on Hoyo's past games) I might have to do a coin flip but I'm still leaning towards Ellen as a primary Ice DPS even though I do have Burnice available to slot next to Miyabi if I were to get her. - Also, Miyabi being Ice Anomaly is SO much better than Attacker in the current state of the game. Everyone's complaining about too many Anomaly types, but Miyabi is literally going to be the sole Ice Anomaly unit in the game so far. They NEED to fill the role, and it makes sense thematically because I can't see Harumasa being anything else other than an Attacker so why would they release two S-Rank Attackers from the same faction back-to-back in the same patch? I swear people know nothing about game design and game development from how much complaining I see about Miyabi. And as for Miyabi's damage output, Jane is an Anomaly but look at those numbers! Who's to say Miyabi won't be a huge DPS unit? Just wait for her to release first and see what they do.
Two things. One Lighter needs an attack agent on his team to get full passive. Two, there's no main damage dealer on this team as miyabi and burnice share similar playstyles.

Miyabi will 100% not be an off-field DPS like Burnice, there's just no shot they do that for her gameplay where she presses EX-skill then leaves. Burnice and Miyabi combined DPS being buffed by Lighter's passives and running as an Anomaly Disorder team IS ENOUGH DAMAGE. In the same way you can run Burnice with literally any of the other anomalys and be perfectly fine (Piper and Jane). Unless you REALLY believe that they're going to give Miyabi a kit that does no damage like a support, which is not happening. - Again, can't believe people don't understand simple game design.

that’s what i’m wondering too. i’m guessing at m0 she’ll be an applicator sub dps but her mindscapes will give her crit stats and damage to make her a dedicated main dps that’s the best guess i can think of
To me Miyabi seem to open up hybrid builds with crit and anomaly setup. She sound like a support sub dps for crit DPS. She is basically using anomaly to freeze units and make them vulnerable and do damage. She might be very good with Ellen
It makes so much sense she’s first phase, every limited s rank has their best or one of their best teammates banner next to each other ( besides Ella bc her best teammate is a standard character ) zhu yuan and qingyi were together, ceasar and burince were together, Jane and yanagi were right before and after them who provide the same role in the team as the main anomaly dps, so lighter having a ice buff even tho it doesn’t fit his design lore or faction at all makes sense to put miyabi right after with their current pattern
Just lost the yanagi 50/50 to rina. Should i save for miyabi or scrape together more pulls for yanagi? I want a good anomaly team and have burnice and a crap grace
@koteika7let-g4n yeah it does just very ok. Grace mid investment just doesn't feel awesome. Her gameplay loop isn't super fun either imo. I don't really care about lighter or harumasa either 🤷♂️

Anomaly units are far more stronger than attack units. Attack units deals continuous damage but anomaly units deals more damage in an instant 😊 so I m ok with her being Anomaly unit ❤
I think Miyabi will be an on field DPS like Jane is, if she's supposed to build ice anomaly, and Shatter increases crit damage AND she has that crit damage buff (the mechanics leak is apparently sus), then there is a chance they go the Jane route with her and make her able to crit her shatters or something. Making her an off field doesn't feel right for me, but in any case I'm building her for on field anyways. Polar Metal and Freedom Blues go brrrrr
UGH, I was really hoping Harumasa was gonna be an A-rank to give us at least one more, the fact we have only a single new A-rank in 4 patches of the game is...concerning. at this point S-rank is the norm, like most events feel like you're more likely to get the hype S-rank then any good A-ranks. Issues is a trend like that means S-ranks wont be special, they will be expected, leading to potentially even rarer character rank needed or a flood of S-ranks that leads them to either have a smaller roster in order to manage repeats better or never seeing repeat banners at all.
Wasn't sure if its was gonna pull Miyabi but if she's right after Lighter then ya, not gonna have enough poly after him lol but I don't get why people get upset about the dmg types with Att vs Anomaly. Who cares as long as your character is good?
Kspice is correct...they don't wanna invest. I think when Jane came along, some people were like oh w/e, she's super poweful and happens to be anomaly, not that big a deal. But now as they're seeing the META unfold before their eyes, those of us who balked at getting in on it (or simply couldn't afford to due to bad luck or pulls prior) are now likely bummed out that they're late to the party. Some will grab what they can and make some anomaly based teams or disorder comps as they become available. Others will likely avoid anomaly units and (like with Miyabi) ROOT for the characters they're interested in to NOT be Anomaly because they don't have teammates/resources to make the most of them. People should recognize that reruns happen, and there will be other opportunities to grab your favorite units. But, in the meantime, some will be salty over expecting attack/hypercarry styles to be META (which, they're good enough, they don't have to be THE highest damage output to clear things, so it's not worth getting upset over).
Why are people disappointed she won't be a attacker? They do know Jane, Grace and Piper exist, all anomalies who want lots of field time? As someone who jas both Jane and Ellen, Jane by far takes more on field time than Ellen, Ellen I'd have to ramp up her stacks with swapping but Jane requires no such.
Where is your proof that Miyabi is coming in version 1.4? So far, she hasn't been drip-marketed in the official zzz socials. Only Asaba Harumasa has been drip-marketed, and usually, they continue drip-marketing a new character the next day or in the next few hours of the day. In version 1.4, we will get Asaba Harumasa in the first phase, and the second phase will most likely be a Rerun. This is just pure speculation on my part of the phases.

I think its more a out how she is not an on-field dps than an anomaly. Her cutscene oozed of main protagonist energy, yet they relegate her to the backline as a crit enabler? Not cool Mahoyo. Not cool
@@Vic-fj3qs there's a pretty easy solution: just play her on-field as much as you want... just because some nerd calculates that you can squeeze out a little bit more DPS by being sweaty about which character is on or off field, it doesn't mean that you should let that dictate your enjoyment of the game. no matter which play style you go for, the character will be just as viable for sure.
Miyabi will not be an off field unit that would be the dumbest move Hoyo could ever make. She's an Ice Anomaly and I guarantee she's gonna have something like Jane does where that boost she gives to crit will benefit her and she will be procing freeze, then doing the teams main damage on her own. She'll probably want Anomaly mastery but not proficiency and slot crit instead of proficiency.
She's probably gonna be attack disguised as anamoly. She might just be able to do on and off-field. Or maybe she can be on-,field but only after M1 or M2.
Guys, I'm not sure what to do. I have only 10 pulls to get my 50/50. Should I pull and try to get Yanagi (I win the 50, but it resets for Miyabi), or should I wait and save the 50/50 for Miyabi and get more pulls until I have enough for the guaranteed? I kinda need good characters for Ice and Electric damage since I only started playing halfway through Qingyi's banner.
Definitely send it on yanagi's banner because there could be a time after harumasa's banner where they just don't release any electric units for a while
If it's just 10 pulls for S rank guarantee, I think pulling Yanagi is not hurt. Then save the rest for incoming Miyabi, if you're aiming mainly for her.
We are supposedly getting 107 pulls worth of asterites by the end of 1.3, i think. And you could get 135 with the monthly subscription. (+8 with the BP,) Also... If you have some of the "dupe" currency saved up, you could convert it into more pulls as well. And don't forget that we should get more pulls during th efirst half of 1.4 With all of that into account... If you are willing to buy at least the monthly subscription, and maybe convert some dupes into more pulls, you are pretty much guaranteed to get Miyabi before her banner is over even if you get Yanagi. (assuming I recieved no misinformation) That said... If you are pulling Yanagi specifically for her synergy with Miyabi, you might want to wait until we have a few gameplay leaks from 1.4's beta servers and a clearer idea of what Miyabi's best teams will be.

hey guys, i have 80pity on limited but it's a 50/50, i'm the guy who has c6 seth + rina and no carry aside from c0 piper so yanagi would def fill the hole in my account but i was planning to save for miyabi... :( i dont like that it feels like i need lighter+miyabi bc when i look at the rest of my roster, yanagi would be amazing
you COULD just leave it to fate if you're that torn...One way of making a decision, or...letting the fates decide for you is letting your 50/50 decide if it's Yanagi OR Miyabi. If you lose the 50/50 Miyabi is on guarantee. Buuuut, if you WIN the 50/50, there's a chance you end up getting both. Which is the way I've been planning for some time now even though I want both. I WAS hoping MIyabi would be 2nd half or even pushed back a patch since my whole account after Jane's Ice team (Lycaon/soukaku) is just anomaly agents and their "supports" Jane/Burnice/Seth (still have to lvl up my M6 Lucy, and a Rina that's been gathering dust). My current state of pulls is like 4 pity but 120-130ish pulls to start this patch. Ideally I'd be lucky enough to win a 50/50 on an early pull (yeah right lol) and come away with Yanagi's weapon PRIOR to spending polychromes earned in this patch. That's unlikely tho. Still, I'm probably going at LEAST to Yanagi no matter the circumstances then hoping that there's enough left over that I can grab up MIyabi afterward.

There's a theory out there that Miyabi and Yanagi will have a combo attack just like Koleda and Ben. I wouldn't bet my money on it though.

There are so few A-Ranks that they alternate every second banner
1.4 will not have Miyabi. Because she has not been drip marketed by mihoyo in the last days of ver 1.2. Which means 1.4 will be the return of Ellen.

Yeah no. Miyabi will have some giga cracked core passive like Jane that gives her insane buffs. She won’t work with Ellen.

Just lost the yanagi 50/50 to rina. Should i save for miyabi or scrape together more pulls for yanagi? I want a good anomaly team and have burnice and a crap grace
burnice grace rina is a good comp from my experience, imo theres no need to pull for yanagi
@koteika7let-g4n yeah it does just very ok. Grace mid investment just doesn't feel awesome. Her gameplay loop isn't super fun either imo. I don't really care about lighter or harumasa either 🤷♂️
since u got rina and already have burnice, u have the perfect team for yanagi. if u really want her it's a golden chance imo

Anomaly units are far more stronger than attack units. Attack units deals continuous damage but anomaly units deals more damage in an instant 😊 so I m ok with her being Anomaly unit ❤
I think Miyabi will be an on field DPS like Jane is, if she's supposed to build ice anomaly, and Shatter increases crit damage AND she has that crit damage buff (the mechanics leak is apparently sus), then there is a chance they go the Jane route with her and make her able to crit her shatters or something. Making her an off field doesn't feel right for me, but in any case I'm building her for on field anyways. Polar Metal and Freedom Blues go brrrrr
UGH, I was really hoping Harumasa was gonna be an A-rank to give us at least one more, the fact we have only a single new A-rank in 4 patches of the game is...concerning. at this point S-rank is the norm, like most events feel like you're more likely to get the hype S-rank then any good A-ranks. Issues is a trend like that means S-ranks wont be special, they will be expected, leading to potentially even rarer character rank needed or a flood of S-ranks that leads them to either have a smaller roster in order to manage repeats better or never seeing repeat banners at all.
Honestly any ice or ether units are welcome to join the game

Wasn't sure if its was gonna pull Miyabi but if she's right after Lighter then ya, not gonna have enough poly after him lol but I don't get why people get upset about the dmg types with Att vs Anomaly. Who cares as long as your character is good?
It's an archetype they don't want to invest in. There loss since it's the main element gimmick of the game.
Kspice is correct...they don't wanna invest. I think when Jane came along, some people were like oh w/e, she's super poweful and happens to be anomaly, not that big a deal. But now as they're seeing the META unfold before their eyes, those of us who balked at getting in on it (or simply couldn't afford to due to bad luck or pulls prior) are now likely bummed out that they're late to the party. Some will grab what they can and make some anomaly based teams or disorder comps as they become available. Others will likely avoid anomaly units and (like with Miyabi) ROOT for the characters they're interested in to NOT be Anomaly because they don't have teammates/resources to make the most of them. People should recognize that reruns happen, and there will be other opportunities to grab your favorite units. But, in the meantime, some will be salty over expecting attack/hypercarry styles to be META (which, they're good enough, they don't have to be THE highest damage output to clear things, so it's not worth getting upset over).
Yanagi just got released a dew hours ago and i was almost pulled for her thinking that Miyabi's banner release is still far away.

Why are people disappointed she won't be a attacker? They do know Jane, Grace and Piper exist, all anomalies who want lots of field time? As someone who jas both Jane and Ellen, Jane by far takes more on field time than Ellen, Ellen I'd have to ramp up her stacks with swapping but Jane requires no such.

Where is your proof that Miyabi is coming in version 1.4? So far, she hasn't been drip-marketed in the official zzz socials. Only Asaba Harumasa has been drip-marketed, and usually, they continue drip-marketing a new character the next day or in the next few hours of the day. In version 1.4, we will get Asaba Harumasa in the first phase, and the second phase will most likely be a Rerun. This is just pure speculation on my part of the phases.

just because some nerd calculates that you can squeeze out a little bit more DPS by being sweaty about which character is on or off field, it doesn't mean that you should let that dictate your enjoyment of the game. no matter which play style you go for, the character will be just as viable for sure.

Miyabi will not be an off field unit that would be the dumbest move Hoyo could ever make. She's an Ice Anomaly and I guarantee she's gonna have something like Jane does where that boost she gives to crit will benefit her and she will be procing freeze, then doing the teams main damage on her own. She'll probably want Anomaly mastery but not proficiency and slot crit instead of proficiency.
She's probably gonna be attack disguised as anamoly. She might just be able to do on and off-field. Or maybe she can be on-,field but only after M1 or M2.

Guys, I'm not sure what to do. I have only 10 pulls to get my 50/50. Should I pull and try to get Yanagi (I win the 50, but it resets for Miyabi), or should I wait and save the 50/50 for Miyabi and get more pulls until I have enough for the guaranteed? I kinda need good characters for Ice and Electric damage since I only started playing halfway through Qingyi's banner.
Definitely send it on yanagi's banner because there could be a time after harumasa's banner where they just don't release any electric units for a while
If it's just 10 pulls for S rank guarantee, I think pulling Yanagi is not hurt. Then save the rest for incoming Miyabi, if you're aiming mainly for her.

We are supposedly getting 107 pulls worth of asterites by the end of 1.3, i think.
And you could get 135 with the monthly subscription. (+8 with the BP,)
Also... If you have some of the "dupe" currency saved up, you could convert it into more pulls as well.
And don't forget that we should get more pulls during th efirst half of 1.4
With all of that into account... If you are willing to buy at least the monthly subscription, and maybe convert some dupes into more pulls, you are pretty much guaranteed to get Miyabi before her banner is over even if you get Yanagi. (assuming I recieved no misinformation)
That said... If you are pulling Yanagi specifically for her synergy with Miyabi, you might want to wait until we have a few gameplay leaks from 1.4's beta servers and a clearer idea of what Miyabi's best teams will be.

hey guys, i have 80pity on limited but it's a 50/50, i'm the guy who has c6 seth + rina and no carry aside from c0 piper so yanagi would def fill the hole in my account but i was planning to save for miyabi... :( i dont like that it feels like i need lighter+miyabi bc when i look at the rest of my roster, yanagi would be amazing
you COULD just leave it to fate if you're that torn...One way of making a decision, or...letting the fates decide for you is letting your 50/50 decide if it's Yanagi OR Miyabi. If you lose the 50/50 Miyabi is on guarantee. Buuuut, if you WIN the 50/50, there's a chance you end up getting both. Which is the way I've been planning for some time now even though I want both. I WAS hoping MIyabi would be 2nd half or even pushed back a patch since my whole account after Jane's Ice team (Lycaon/soukaku) is just anomaly agents and their "supports" Jane/Burnice/Seth (still have to lvl up my M6 Lucy, and a Rina that's been gathering dust). My current state of pulls is like 4 pity but 120-130ish pulls to start this patch. Ideally I'd be lucky enough to win a 50/50 on an early pull (yeah right lol) and come away with Yanagi's weapon PRIOR to spending polychromes earned in this patch. That's unlikely tho. Still, I'm probably going at LEAST to Yanagi no matter the circumstances then hoping that there's enough left over that I can grab up MIyabi afterward.
Let your 50/50 decide if you win, you got Yanagi for your electric team, if you lose you're guaranteed for any upcoming units specifically harumasa
