Amor begged Eduardo to check their mining business in Talimpao because it was affecting the people who lived there. Eduardo's mom didn't want him to check, so she lied to him. Then, because of their company, almost all of the people who lived in Talimpao died, including Amor's family. Also, Eduardo's brother (Diego) manipulated and raped Amor, then, Eduardo's mom forced him to love Claudia instead of Amor. Claudia also saw how Amor was suffering under Diego's hands and how he was taking advantage of her, but, she kept silent and instead of helping Amor, she took advantage of the situation to get closer to Eduardo.
