I find this the best version of this song I've heard so far. This is my 1st time on this channel. I was listening the Nightwish version and I wasn't happy with the singing, Floor sounded monotoneous, and she doesn't have the brightness I was hoping for this song. So I went to see for covers. I love the MoonSun band, but this time Suzanne didn't have such change as I was looking for. And Minniva didn't have a version of this yet.
Wearing Nightwish shirt, singing epic nightwish saga and blowing my mind off. I have listen to nightwish since i was 3 years old. This warms my heart and I can't thank you enough for singing this song for me.
Love your Nightwish covers... Carl Sagan is a hero of mine since before I met him in 1989 and again in 1994...I've followed you since your Elan cover and look forward to your original stuff.
WOW! You're a lucky one to have met him (we're even big fans of the film-interpretation of his novel "Contact") :). Originals are definitely coming as we have around 11 songs written, yet unproduced (or semi-produced); however, we are still in the audience-building phase :). The only two originals that we have uploaded until now are available on our channel (you can check them out here ua-cam.com/play/PLbkNpbxwgiQN6JyOSV2JhHnNiyDEXKjgm.html ). The instrumental song "GAIA" was a one-off as we intend to dedicate this channel only to ROCK/METAL. The other song, "Masquerade" was our first original production and given how much we've learned since then, we might just remaster it one day :D. Many things are on the way, so stay tuned! Thank you for your interest \m/ ROCK ON, warrior!
Great Cover of a great song! It is awesome to have a quote at the beginning of a song from the person about whom the song is written! Because of Prof. Sagan, my kids know that "we are made of starstuff", and that "our galaxy contains billions and billions of stars". That being said, I've crossed horns with Prof. Sagan, as have some of my friends. He was a scientist, who discovers what is, as opposed to an engineer, who creates what has never been. This is why spacecraft are built by engineers, not by scientists (there is no such thing as a rocket scientist). It's a different sort of thinking. Let's just say that Sagan was a very good at popularizing science, and so the world was better off for that because of him. However, the problem with being smart and successful is that you start believing your own PR, and it becomes more and more difficult to recognize and admit your mistakes. The opening quote is a perfect example. It is correct, of course, but Prof. Sagan refused to consider the extraordinary evidence of the fine tuning of this Universe-- in contrast to other people, like astronomer Dr. Fred Hoyle, who said, "A common sense interpretation of the facts suggests that a super intellect has monkeyed with physics, as well as with chemistry and biology." Similarly, astronomer Robert Jastrow admitted that his own agnostic beliefs were challenged (See his book "God and the Astronomers" www.amazon.com/God-Astronomers-Expanded-Robert-Jastrow/dp/0393850064 )
I THOUGHT I heard all of Nightwish's repertoire. I'm QUITE impressed. NORMALLY the camera shakes bother the snot out of me... ... Not this time. Video: seems to be MINIMALLY produced with MAXIMUM effect. Ok, covers. You've got them nailed... ... Next step? You tell us! (PLEASE!) Tho... 1 more cover... Nightwish's 7 days to the wolves. I believe you could do it, and, make it great.
Great visuals! Liked Andrea 's T-shirt too. :-) As far as the song itself.... Well, Carl Sagan was a smart guy, and he did a good job popularizing science, but he unfortunately limited his own thinking. As an astronomer, he could not seem to understand that some of us did not just want to watch and discover cool new things, but that we also want to expand humanity to the stars (by "we", I mean the National Space Society, L-5, etc). Also, Sagan's views regarding the origin of the Big Bang (especially regarding fine tuning) were rather limited--not as open as Fred Hoyle's, for example. Maybe I should go complain to Tuomas. :-)
alapvetően elvi kérdés nekem hogy magamtól ilyen cover band-eket nem hallgatok, de Ti valahogy elvarázsoltatok... már harmadik napja ti szóltok a melóhoz :)

I think this song would have been good for Anette.

I started off my kids with Nightwish when the oldest was six! :-) It was their morning lullaby! :-)
Great song cover and excellent visuals too. Criminally under-subscribed channel.
