THIS is the car that I saw passing us on our way to Disney World that began my love affair for the Corvette. It was a dark green Coupe with T-tops, black interior, chrome "gills," chrome bumpers, and mag wheels. That just sticks with you for the rest of your life.

68--72 Vette to me are the only worthy ones to be called the C3 and they were very worthy

@@RetroRides13 It's Steel Cities Gray. It's a color changing metallic paint, in the shade it's dark gray, in the sun it's light gray with a hint of green. Only 2000 cars were sold with this color and I've never seen another one. The motor is from a 63 Vette, I have no idea why.

@@RetroRides13 We found it at a Mazda dealership, with no history. It's been frame off restored (I'm lucky to have a Corvette specialist shop near me) which is odd for a car that's not numbers matching. Somebody had more money than sense, but I get to enjoy it.

I own a C3 Corvette it's a 1977 Corvette and I have Owned it sent's I was 16 years old and I still.even had the original paperwork and book and advertisement for the even the original owner manual still in its case

My favorite generation as far as styling goes!! I'm pretty sure that this was when Larry Shinoda and Bill Mitchell were involved with it, as well as Zora Arkus Duntov.

@RetroRides13 you totally can! A lot of C3 are obtainable!! Not the first few years but the later C3s don't bring crazy money!! And that's because they are kinda lame!! As far as corvettes go!

I definitely like the C3!!! Very beautiful car!! That being said nowhere near the best corvette!! And most C3s don't perform that great!! Especially in the handling category!! Any modern corvette would flat walk the C3 on the track!!
Everyones opinion is valid, but in my opinion yes in terms of performance you are right, but in terms of the cool and elegance factor I would much rather have the C3 over any other modern or older corvette.
@@RetroRides13 Agree. While I absolutely love the C3 as it is, some of the the C3 retro mods with the modern ponies and twisties, plumbings, electricals, and performance Michelin tires are formidable.
