I remember finding your videos when I started nursing school in 2022 and you're so close to being done!!! Your videos have been super helpful for me. I graduate in May and I have a job in the trauma ICU at OU Med in OKC. Planning on getting my critical care experience and everything else out of the way in a few years and applying to schools! Congrats on almost being done!!
For clinical sites in other states, do you arrange travel youself? Haven't lived out of state much so getting to and from the clinical site out of state seems complicated.
Yeah it is complicated for sure. It depends on the site- some sites have free housing, and some sites we have to arrange housing. We have about 3-4 months in advance to arrange it if we have to. There are big pros and big cons. It's nice being able to see a wide variety of how anesthesia is practiced.
Thank you for sharing this David! National is my dream CRNA school and I was wondering if you’ll come out with a video on their culture and what they are looking for specifically versus other schools? Any info would help!
Didn't realize you were attending NU! I literally just opened up their supplemental application to start filling it out as I'm applying for this next round of cohorts! You've always been a huge inspiration to me so a funny coincidence! Would love to pick your brain about NU and what the process was like getting in!
I've actually only rotated to one site where physician anesthesiologists practiced. 90% of my sites have been CRNA only! I appreciate both models. I appreciate, in the CRNA only model, that I get to do essentially everything!

Omg that’s amazing. Send me an email travelnursepractitioner@gmail.com
Have you rotated into a CRNA only practice or been assigned to a 1099, independent CRNA? Any differences good or bad noticed from medical models?
