We find - subjectively because we live in this great place - that Tamaki Makaurau (Auckland) is truly special and outstanding. There is a huge variety of things to see and do, including shows and events but very much also some of the most stunning nature anywhere in the world. As an example, check out Karekare Beach as one of many examples. Kia ora!

Auckland
I grew up in Auckland but I now live in the Canterbury Plains. I'd love to move to Central New Zealand because it's so picturesque and there's so much adventure. The south Island is where the beauty is, the North Island is where the Culture is.
Theres some lovely natural wonders in the South Island.
This whole New Zealand series does plenty of justice to what New Zealand has to offer. Truly a place of beauty, warmth and peace. 💖

@@tomaiheke4435 I think I do, govt pay the mori oris 20mil I think last year also gave them a little land but mainly sea. Why you ask? because Europeans didn't defend them (weak reason), also 1 of the 2 tribes responsible 50% of the mori oris deaths, and enslavement got 15 mil a few years back and land and has paid 0 dollars towards their crimes. But what ever not like there is direct ties with the govt and it isn't like mori oris gonna be use as proxies.

We just returned from a three week trip to New Zealand. I could not agree more. Such warm and friendly people. I am from Oregon and will put the landscape I grew up in against any other in the world. The beauty of New Zealand meet the standard.

Bring a lot of Money. Unfortunately it's very expensive to live and Holiday here and as much as we don't want to ruin it for you, it kind of is a tourist trap. Btw, I live in NZ.

I've had the privelledge to drive and train over much of both islands and it is indeed a place unto itself. Try Tasmania too if you can't make it to NZ. A lot of similar landscapes.

They like to rock and roll! The Alpine Fault line runs almost the entire length of New Zealand's South Island. About 15,000 earthquakes in New Zealand a year, of which 100 - 150 of these quakes are large enough to be felt. They just had 4.1 hours ago at Wellington city! For these kiwis it's just another day at the office 😂
You forgot to mention that as a country renown for its adventure tourism that we don't charge for the earthquake experience. Now that's a bargain!

Have moved to NZ for over 3 years, never regret this biggest decision of my life. The landscape is stunning and most people we met are welcoming and amazing. Going to the South Island next month, super excited! The only negative though is that this Labour government doesn’t like immigrants, many of us are suffering the 2 year long waiting to get Skill migrant application processed.. lots of sad stories here..If you want to move to NZ now, suggest to do your homework throughly.

Canterbury is predictable. It's either hot and dry... Or cold and dry... When I lived up in Auckland it was... Wet.
