@@katp.4817 Yess, I love that they have that KQ sound ™ but they're completely different from ateez in every way. I saw them do their first concert performance at ATEEZ’s show in Oakland. They performed this song and were amazing!! So proud of our KQ babies. Xikers are outstanding!!!
Glad that some think they sound different to ateez. Sure there are sonic similarities but Xikers def have their own style. When I heard tricky house pre debut I knew there was something about these boys. The entire song puts you in a trance.
y'all NEED to see them performing this song. i literally watched all of their music show performances cause they go all out every single time (you need to see Xikey live too after listening to the album)
@kotochel4592 yes I'm sure there wasn't any use of hyperbole here. This debut was truly God's gift to earth. Definitely not a teenager over reacting to an otherwise normal kpop boy band debut. She's allowed to think whatever she wants but come on lol
I actually knew I would already like it considering hongjoong is a producer and his taste is 🤌 it's crazy how far Ateez as come and their hardships they went through and they are now able to give their junior group so many privileges. I can't wait for more music by them though! I'm loving the goblin concept.
this is the first group i started stanning before the official debut bc tricky house was already released during pre-debut and it got me immediately (they pretty much went on tour with ateez, opening their shows and playing kcon). they are about to release a 2nd title track (just like ateez yeah) called rockstar and the entire album is fire. KQ knows how to hype up their groups, their predebut show 'tricky house' is hilarious as well.
I knew about them as KQFellaz 2 but never really kept in touch but I was obsessed the second I heard the song… ended up getting the physical album on release day and I feel like it’s gonna be me throwing money at them now but like slay?

Some reactors said that "they're like ATEEZ, they have the same sound, there's no identity yet". As you mentioned, they sound similar like the KQ company style but entirely different. It's like having the JYP style, the SM style, the YG style, something like that. 11:0511:3512:2513:17 "one of favorite debuts of all time" 🔥 AndyandJas also mentioned in their reaction that we're like the old man in the vid and we're looking for excitement and here comes xikers, a young fresh group bringing excitement to our lives, that's the feeling we're getting from this. xikers is a whole new experience 🙌
Not only do they remind me of Ateez, but the energy of this debut also reminds me of BlockB at their peak, which is an energy not a lot of groups have these days. (I'm talking like, BAP, or Monsta X) Block B was/is? under KQ despite not being created by them, the concept of group members being crazy, mischievous, and sometimes downright villains in their MVs is something that I've been missing in kpop. Im so glad xikers is bringing it back!
the rookie girlgroups DOMINATED these last few years so it's crazy that now i'm seeing that insane boygroups debuted/are gonna debut like xikers, boys planet's bg and zico's bg,
I ADORE the sound of this song, and I cannot get over that exact thing you picked apart. Similar, not the same. No forced "difference" in concept, definitely related, but still clearly their own thing. Their mischief comes through, goblins/tricksters are the PERFECT concept for them. Ateez is a huge amount of fun and charismatic as all get out, but (besides Wooyoung) they are too *intense* and sincere to be mischievious. Xikers oozes wicked mischief. Ateez was obsessed with their fans since pre-debut, they will do anyting to hog the camera, they all want the spotlight and our love. I get the impression that introverted Xikers would do what they are doing even if nobody was watching. So they don't have to try extra hard to be different. They are different. They just do them. After "Xikey" and "Rockstar", I somehow get the impression that they *can't* effectively be anyone other than themselves. Chameleon, theatrical Ateez can pull off literally anything with their own unique flavour, but Xikers is Xikers, and they can't help being themselves. It's a fascinating difference because it's so subtle. Behind all the magic of Ateez, the music is what I love, which means Eden-ary. The fact that I can hear more Eden-ary, and more flavours of KQ production is a colossal win, I am *so* happy!!! This is all just my own two cents as I caught up on their released material....and listen to the album on repeat. It could of course turn out to be very wrong, but anyway...thank you for this wonderful, detailed review!
Speaking of one the best debuts in kpop, xikers tricky house: doorbel ringing became the second highest debut album of all time to reach billboard top 200 (#75) next to SuperM and the 3rd kpop debut group to reach bb200 alongside with superm and txt .they are this big ✨
Another Korean reactor couple said that Goblins can turn into brooms or come out of brooms or something of that nature, which is why the brooms are there in the ending shot of the music video. They also made the point that everything in the video involves the 'Main Character' winning something in some way. The stuffed animal machine: he has all of the toys at the end of the shot. He smacks the ATM with the microphone 'bat' and all the money comes out of it like winning the lottery. The car is just there for him to get into and drive around in. These are intentional references throughout the video about Goblins granting people who play with them great fortunes. Once they're done with you, though, they will take it all back, which is why everything is gone at the end of the video and they've turned into brooms. Really smart use of known mythology, and such a cool concept to have for a debut!
As it has been for ATEEZ, Xikers' first MV looks like one from an experienced group, not rookie's material! This is why I have so much hope for their future
And you haven't even seen them live yet. If you thought ATEEZ looked like they had 2-3 years experience when they debuted, wait til you see xikers--they look like old pros. In their content, there are ATEEZ interactions--they have definitely been mentored well.
This video was Bollywood inspired specially at 06:37! uff, even Shanty means "Silence" in hindi, KQ is another level... they are really the solid Kpop future. Thank you for reacting to KQ artists. This goblins concept was so cool kkk
In the official lyrics it's shanty with a "y" it's an English word historically often used in songs sung by workers or sailors in England. It's basically a motivational call to work, or to work in unison. The song is Bollywood inspired but the lyrics are not they are completely in Korean/English.
I love that KQ establishes themselves as a company that produces performance groups. Ateez sing 100% live and perform the roof off the house every single time and Xikers do the exact same. It's crazy how much energy and presence these boys bring to the stage. Their choreos are amazing, their live vocals are incredibly and all in all this doesn't have debut energy in my book. This has comeback energy. Which makes it as crazy strong as it is.
Their name is pronounced Sikers This song is Bollywood inspired Their character is called Tricky If you listen to their album you will see that it's never just a song with KQ, they have a strong concept and lore :D
Kq is doing shit all right 😅 the production shows the’re Ateez lil bros but they showed their own colors! So happy HongJoong made it to the main producer team here Ps. Let’s all email Kq if we must so the listening party to the album is released here in UA-cam pd (just kidding guys haha)
I knew pd was gonna love this video, as I was watching other reactions they didn’t react to it like I wished the would, PD did that!! Thank you!! U appreciate my boys! Thank you!!! :))
and I totally agree that they are definitely similar to ATEEZ but also are very different and have their own concept and sound. I hope to see ATEEZ and xikers interactions in the future. It is also probably one of my favorite debuts especially in a boy group!
"It feels like Ateez hasn't changed their concept since debut" That's lore, I believe. Like, when a group has a lore like Ateez does they can have many different concepts but it won't feel like they change their "concept" because it's engrained into people's minds already. And I think Xikers are going to do the same thing. I'd be devastated if they don't, honestly, because we already got the perfect base for a fantastic lore, like Ateez', with the explanation behind their group name and their debut album. And istg if their lores don't overlap at some point Imma flip several tables.
Idk how to describe it but this song made me feel like I am full? Like I ate their song well and i was so satisfied and happy about it, with zero complaints
hearing this song pre-debut made me think “damn, this would be such a good title track, it sucks that they’ll have something different for a debut,” but they DIDN’T and it’s absolutely wonderful. this debut is incredible & the album doesn’t disappoint either, the members themselves deliver the powerful choreo to a T and their individuality is seriously impressive. I cant wait to see more of what they’re capable of in the future
god i've been WAITING for this. i hadn't really checked out any of their content except a few dance performances until the ateez concert (i'm so happy i had vip) and when they performed this song i was INSTANTLY in awe. sumin especially stood out to me. that guy is an absolute STAR
I saw them in Chicago and they were good then, and now 6 months later, they drop a pure bop. KQ has a distinct sound but both groups and choreography sounds and looks different. I am learning their names now.
i'm glad you mentioned MCND pd because that's the exact energy both of these groups give me, the same energy some of my favorite boygroups have: youthful, energetic, full of attitude; music that blows you away.
I have to agree that xikers got me the same way mcnd got me. The moment I heard tricky house in their predebut show I just got the same vibe from them that I did from mcnd.... And they're rapidly becoming an ult for me
What a wild ride. Even having heard the song predebut, I was blown away by the mv. With the mv, the team did a good job of immersing us in this story as you pointed out. But get ready for the music. Honestly, my first listen through the album was this feeling amplified. The energy coming out this album is so intense I was dazed. But then I immediately had to listen again to figure out what just happened. Overall, I would describe this debut effort as rare. I am excited to see more from Xikers.
Thank you so much PD for reacting to this! And I love your genuine reaction to it ^^ it would be nice to have an album listening party on them, their bsides are amazing!
&team & xikers debut are also by faaaaaar my most personal favorites like ever !!!!!!!!! and i think u also feel the same way from watching ur &team reaction ¿ (thats why when u were saying 'im tryna think of another debut which has made u feel that excited' i was also shouting &team !!!! cuz i remembered that reaction 🤣 )
Producer Eden said that this song was very heavily inspired/influenced by Bollywood and you can definitely hear the Bollywood sound and rhythm in the whole song. So the "shanty" lyrics might tie in with that, too, along with their concept as goblins and tricksters: Because in Hinduism, "Shanti" is a Sanskrit word meaning "peace" or "inner peace". So, since the man indulged in playing with these 10 goblins, they are now chanting "peace" to him at the end of his wild journey with them. 😉❤️
Man I loveeee your videos, i see multiple times your reactions because they just make me happy. Love your excitement and the fact that we are KQ stans, hahaha just 49 minutes of relatable enjoyment. Honestly thank you. Love from Mexico!!
Along with the Listening party Pd, you have GOT to check out their album preview, one for editing and two just to see how amazing of performers they are !! They have choreos for all the songs off the album, and truly its an experience. Xikers are gonna be big I can feel it
Im so happy to hear you bring up MCND, because i was thinking the same thing. Like even though they are different concepts, they still give a lot of energy with their performance and vocals. Its refreshing to see another debut thats on the same level.
I agree with blaire, its very interesting to see how similar, yet different ateez and xikers are. Its almost like rl siblings, like you and with your siblings obv are different individuals, yet there's something that makes you similar, either your look, behavior, etc. I think what makes xikers feels similar with ateez not only bcs they're very good at performing, also their storyline and the message they want to convey almost compliment each other. I'm not into ateez storyline tbh (bcs its freakin confusing and complicated, my brain capacity couldn't cope with their lore 😅😅) but if i'm gonna take conclusion, they have dream and on journey to reach their dream, but society seems to go against them. While xikers, they are on their way finding their dream bcs their dream are stolen by X. Ofc ateez and xikers using different approach to tell their stories, ateez with pirates and xikers with dokkaebi, but both are the actual realities of young people. Some of us maybe in our journey to makes our dream come true, but other people, like parents, friends, or even government go against us. And some of us may used to have dream, but bcs other people "stealing" that dream by underestimate it, we lost confidence and not know what our dreams are. Dang, that's a very long comment 😅😅 but i think we all agree that KQ definitely amazing company that could create these 2 amazing group. So, bravo KQ 👏👏👏
Ateez storyline isn't about dream it's about a distopian world where the gov banned all forms of art and emotion basically made the people robots...so rebel ateez goes from dimension to dimension collecting different version of ateez and changing time and space to overthrow the gov. It's kinda like George Orwell's 1984 novel
@@ubu8 Their storyline involves dreams though. Ateez is not only using 1984 for their lore. Their is inception ( the firm), Peter pan and e.t.c and all these stories are all in writing in an dreamlike reality especially inception and Peter pan. Both have character their storyline happen in a dream. 1984 is a fictional prediction of the future during the time War II, the time he was lived. Dream may not refer to being asleep but to seek, which Ateez embodies both meanings in their storyline. They're videos like inception, illusion, dreamers where they fall asleep or wake up and deja Vu and other song titles that have words close to dreams. Fever series also starts off with inception and the diary film one introduce the cormer to hongjoong as though he is asleep. Inception is also directed like a fever dream and the album concept is about young Ateez finding their dreams or lose it. Treasure 1st song on the 1st album, Maddox made a statement saying "treasure can be anything we want" and said us on the last track of series "did you find it ?". This inclined Ateez were seeking for something, they wished to find when the story started, they dreamed. Their storyline heavily involves dreams and Ateez always has more than one meanings to the words they use like in 1984. The dystopian world is the storyline not ' a storyline'. All previous stories are going to come together like puzzle pieces eventually.
yeah theyre singing santhi (shanthi, i think officially they spelt it shanty but this is accurate) which means peace (sanskrit origin) and is a statement of irony within the song:D

Same here. I don’t want to support a group just because they’re from the same company. I think they have to work harder to impress me since Ateez standard is super high. I ended up loving Xikers! The whole album is soo good! Doorbell ringing, rockstar ,xikey,oh my gosh are so good! Rockstar and tricky house as my fave! While Ateez is powerful and deliver astronomical epic performance, these guys are fresh, youthful, yet also showed strong performance with fresh-er vibe! They are have great strength and edgy performance yet at the same time still mischievous and fun!!! Love it
@@katp.4817 Yess, I love that they have that KQ sound ™ but they're completely different from ateez in every way. Their songs and performances feel fun and mischievous and playful but there's also kinda like a darker element underneath that comes from their concept/lore and I live for those vibes.
I also saw them on weekly idol and their personalities seem super fun and adorable so that's also a bonus, they awakened my auntie instincts lmao
@@katp.4817 same, my favorite song so far is Xikey
I saw them do their first concert performance at ATEEZ’s show in Oakland. They performed this song and were amazing!!
So proud of our KQ babies. Xikers are outstanding!!!
I saw them at the Oakland show too their stage presence is great for rookies!
I think exuberant is the best word for these kids. They’re cheeky and playful but really swaggy as well and it works perfectly.
hongjoong has credits on every single song on this album!
Really proud of HONGJOONG
I am ADDICTED to this song and this group 😭😭
Also they have another title track "Rockstar" and it's mv is coming out soon! (they are currently realising member pics and teasers!)
i love this mv! I also love how much screentime the business man got, pretty unusual for a kpop mv but shows off their concept so well
Glad that some think they sound different to ateez. Sure there are sonic similarities but Xikers def have their own style. When I heard tricky house pre debut I knew there was something about these boys. The entire song puts you in a trance.
My initial reaction to xikers is just how much they don’t sound like Ateez.
y'all NEED to see them performing this song. i literally watched all of their music show performances cause they go all out every single time (you need to see Xikey live too after listening to the album)
It honestly feels like they debuted as a 3 year old group I’m so impressed of them. Can’t wait for what they will bring in the future
Literally the greatest debut OF ALL FREAKING TIME!!!
It was fine relax lol
@@Buddha507 it's her opinion relax lol
@@Buddha507 music is subjective Sam!
@kotochel4592 yes I'm sure there wasn't any use of hyperbole here. This debut was truly God's gift to earth. Definitely not a teenager over reacting to an otherwise normal kpop boy band debut. She's allowed to think whatever she wants but come on lol
@@Buddha507 it was never that serious
I actually knew I would already like it considering hongjoong is a producer and his taste is 🤌 it's crazy how far Ateez as come and their hardships they went through and they are now able to give their junior group so many privileges. I can't wait for more music by them though! I'm loving the goblin concept.
u r so right they started with a big fandom with atinys support and that ateez didn't have at their start
there was a strong desi influence in this song from the melodies, the Shanti chant at the end and right in the beginning the BRRRRRAHHH
this is the first group i started stanning before the official debut bc tricky house was already released during pre-debut and it got me immediately (they pretty much went on tour with ateez, opening their shows and playing kcon). they are about to release a 2nd title track (just like ateez yeah) called rockstar and the entire album is fire. KQ knows how to hype up their groups, their predebut show 'tricky house' is hilarious as well.
The kid you asked who's actually he's Hunter the main dancer in xikers he's so talented and he is thai !! He can speak thai , korean and English
I knew about them as KQFellaz 2 but never really kept in touch but I was obsessed the second I heard the song… ended up getting the physical album on release day and I feel like it’s gonna be me throwing money at them now but like slay?
Thank you for reacting to xikers debut MV. Rockstar MV is coming on April 24 12am KST 🔥

Yechan (2005): Maknae, Main Dancer, Main Rapper
Highlighting few points you mentioned after the 1st listen:
7:59 9:48 thanks for mentioning this. Some reactors said that "they're like ATEEZ, they have the same sound, there's no identity yet". As you mentioned, they sound similar like the KQ company style but entirely different. It's like having the JYP style, the SM style, the YG style, something like that.
11:05 11:35 12:25 13:17 "one of favorite debuts of all time" 🔥
AndyandJas also mentioned in their reaction that we're like the old man in the vid and we're looking for excitement and here comes xikers, a young fresh group bringing excitement to our lives, that's the feeling we're getting from this.
xikers is a whole new experience 🙌
Not only do they remind me of Ateez, but the energy of this debut also reminds me of BlockB at their peak, which is an energy not a lot of groups have these days. (I'm talking like, BAP, or Monsta X) Block B was/is? under KQ despite not being created by them, the concept of group members being crazy, mischievous, and sometimes downright villains in their MVs is something that I've been missing in kpop. Im so glad xikers is bringing it back!
The fast rapper Yechan has participated in 2 survival shows when he was like 11,12, he is the maknae, very talented
the rookie girlgroups DOMINATED these last few years so it's crazy that now i'm seeing that insane boygroups debuted/are gonna debut like xikers, boys planet's bg and zico's bg,
I ADORE the sound of this song, and I cannot get over that exact thing you picked apart.
KQ doesn’t copyright strike, so you are good with reactions on here for anything on their channels 👍🏻
Oooh, who was that? The reactor couple?
SHANTY SHANTY YEAH YEA YEAH
I was _PRAYING_ that you´d react to them
Thank youuu, this boys had been haunting me since predebut, I love them
As it has been for ATEEZ, Xikers' first MV looks like one from an experienced group, not rookie's material! This is why I have so much hope for their future
They will have another MV for their double title track rockstar coming out next week!
CRAZY ASS DEBUT
they're the next big thing, i'm telling y'all
And you haven't even seen them live yet. If you thought ATEEZ looked like they had 2-3 years experience when they debuted, wait til you see xikers--they look like old pros. In their content, there are ATEEZ interactions--they have definitely been mentored well.
This video was Bollywood inspired specially at 06:37! uff, even Shanty means "Silence" in hindi,
KQ is another level... they are really the solid Kpop future.
Thank you for reacting to KQ artists. This goblins concept was so cool kkk
just wondering, but doesnt "shanti" mean peace and not silence?
@@empoxy it can mean both depending on context. usually silence brings peace which is why we can use it in both ways
Actually shanti means 'peace' or 'calmness/calm down' not exactly silence
I thought they meant shanty as in pirate shanty as a tribute to ateez😮
In the official lyrics it's shanty with a "y" it's an English word historically often used in songs sung by workers or sailors in England. It's basically a motivational call to work, or to work in unison.
The song is Bollywood inspired but the lyrics are not they are completely in Korean/English.
I don't even like loud music but this album and this group I vibe with on a personal level 😭
I LOVE THIS DEBUT.
Their name is pronounced Sikers
This song is Bollywood inspired
Their character is called Tricky
If you listen to their album you will see that it's never just a song with KQ, they have a strong concept and lore :D
Did they say it is inspired by Bollywood? Whereee? 😭
@@ajrinparveen5834 yes, Maddox did I think in his live

I knew pd was gonna love this video, as I was watching other reactions they didn’t react to it like I wished the would, PD did that!! Thank you!! U appreciate my boys! Thank you!!! :))
I've been a huge fan of ATEEZ for a while, and am so excited to see where KQ takes ATEEZ's brothers!
P.S. PD I love the glasses!
I have never seen them so stunned and dazed! I love xikers so much they will be BIG!! So excited to see what they do in the future!
and I totally agree that they are definitely similar to ATEEZ but also are very different and have their own concept and sound. I hope to see ATEEZ and xikers interactions in the future. It is also probably one of my favorite debuts especially in a boy group!
I’m hypnotized with this song help me. I CANT let go WHEN I WAS WATCHING THE MV I ZONED OUT SO BAD
And istg if their lores don't overlap at some point Imma flip several tables.
was looking forward to this one!!!
Love your reaction! Wait till you watch Rockstar and Xikey performed on stage!
I saw them in Chicago and they were good then, and now 6 months later, they drop a pure bop. KQ has a distinct sound but both groups and choreography sounds and looks different. I am learning their names now.
PD-nim you should also react to their bsides, all of their bsides are so good!!
Love Blaire for mentioning Supernatural's "Loki", that's exactly the vibes I got as well :D
i'm glad you mentioned MCND pd because that's the exact energy both of these groups give me, the same energy some of my favorite boygroups have: youthful, energetic, full of attitude; music that blows you away.
The character in the Logo is called Tricky
You should hear their songs, their insane! Each song is so good! Xikey and rockstar
I have to agree that xikers got me the same way mcnd got me. The moment I heard tricky house in their predebut show I just got the same vibe from them that I did from mcnd.... And they're rapidly becoming an ult for me
This has been the best break down of this song.
They are insane, when i saw them perform XIKEY it was like WOA!!!
I am excited to see more from Xikers.
the red head is such a good rapper he's so insane,,reminds me of han jisung because of how fast he raps and how his voice is slightly high pitched!!
so excited for you to check out their double title track rockstar!
SHANTY SHANTY YEAH YEAH YEAH SHANTY YEAH YEAH YEAH
Man I loveeee your videos, i see multiple times your reactions because they just make me happy. Love your excitement and the fact that we are KQ stans, hahaha just 49 minutes of relatable enjoyment. Honestly thank you. Love from Mexico!!
I wanted to hear ajushi bust out a rap in the bridge.
LMAO
Along with the Listening party Pd, you have GOT to check out their album preview, one for editing and two just to see how amazing of performers they are !! They have choreos for all the songs off the album, and truly its an experience. Xikers are gonna be big I can feel it
Even though I saw this mv 100th times I still got CHILLS
And also 50 minutes of reaction YEEEES
Can’t wait for an album reaction video
Im so happy to hear you bring up MCND, because i was thinking the same thing. Like even though they are different concepts, they still give a lot of energy with their performance and vocals. Its refreshing to see another debut thats on the same level.
id absolutely appreciate if u found a way to show the listening party on youtube i love ur reactions and im so glad u really loved this group!
Such a great reaction. So proud of the whole team. The album is stellar.
also Hongjoong had a hand in producing all of the songs on their album! it was also one of his goals to produce an album for xikers and also ateez
yeah theyre singing santhi (shanthi, i think officially they spelt it shanty but this is accurate) which means peace (sanskrit origin) and is a statement of irony within the song:D
This was the best reaction for tricky house thank you pd😂❤️
i woke up in the middle of the night to pee but wanted to put something on to fall asleep to. this was the first video thar was recommended to me on my feed and i couldn't not watch bc I've been periodically checking to see when you'd react 😭❤️ the music/group didn't catch me from the first listen but the MV is so absolutely insane that i immediately fell in Love visually
Yaaaaay I was waiting for this reaction and I'm so glad you're loving it!! I like to describe the vibe as playfully paranormal hehe
Super rookies!
PD, you mentioned their confidence. You should watch their Band LIVE Concert at it's Live. They blew me away with their confidence and fun performance there, they didn't look nervous at all!
THE ALBUM DOES NOT DISAPPOINT. THE REST OF THE SONGS ARE JUST AS GOOD UGH SO SOOO GOOOD
They even say it in the song: they are playing with you! They are being mischievous and tricky!
This is WHY I was so excited for your reaction
yas i was one of the patreons who suggested pd to watch the mv first and the pre-debut stuff after. also btw the whole album is fire. rockstar is probably my favourite song atm
Me too.rockstar is really good
You can hear the ocasional sprinkles of Ateez but they very much have their own style and sound an its alreay amazing
I'm sayingg
well hongjoong did produce all their songs with edenary that's probably why
The album is actually so crazy good. You can tell at first listen how good the directing is with xikers! KQ knows exactly what to do with xikers and it manifests in the album, MV, and the members themselves. Really such a fun debut to witness esp in this age of kpop where every debut feels so tight!!! So excited to see more of them in the future💗
I’ve been so Addicted to this song since release and I must say they are really talented and promising group that for sure in the future will take over kpop. KQent is amazing for creating one of a kind groups
