Omniarch! Great video. I was wondering why didn’t you test philip primary with ashur for example (full archer gear) maybe might change something? Since the philip primary should make that single army deal more dmg?
Try Joan/Phillip instead. You get a 70% boost to every other skill cycle cause of Joan's 4th skill. That might be the most beneficial way for Phillips active
we need to see the test when philip to be primary, maybe it will be significant different result. Also, i would like to see the testing to put phillip together with zhuge or Joan P/Phillip to trigger joan skill 3 times
Love your stuff Omni, but I think this one is off the mark. Philip is a damage magnifier, to only consider the single target damage from the aoe comms in your murder ball is grossly underestimating his value. Same goes for the damage protection, in ball fights you're taking AoE all over the place. I think the conclusions are too bold for what this testing actually shows, seems a bit like starting with an outcome in mind (he's not a 5 march commander) and then shoe-horning the evidence in to suit
leadership tree is overall worse than other specific type tree and skill tree has faster rage generation so philip can utilize both his 1st and expertise much more often also huo needs to be primary to maximize his dmg
@@mohammadsn8677 support give more rage in the long run, while skill give faster during the first cycle. When u're in murderball, the first cycle is more important since you will focus more on hit and run. Also, rage cap at 220 per turn, so even support tree give 150 in that skill turn, only 220 will register anyway. Skill tree already has 100(base rage) + 16(burning blood) + 100(feral rage 10%)=216 rage in any turn. So if a single feral rage is trigger during the first cycle, skill tree would always be quicker than support tree. And i didnt mention any rage buff from other comdr like joan or trajan btw
@@mohammadsn8677 and Om pair Philip with Huo or Shaj. So he would want to prioritize those skill dmg. Also Philip's 4th skill benefit from skill dmg increase too this is a prob of who philip going with. You tell me i want to pair philip with huo then i should use philip as primary since "skill tree is useless for philip". Yeah right, check who im pairing with first then make a statement
@@lamthaiquang827 Huo make no sense as a pair Support tree cast active every 7 turn but skill tree cast every 8 turn Also murderball is not everything Support tree has more speed, more tanky, more rage which is better Also Philip must be primary because 40% damage benefit second commander active skill Using him as secondary make no sense
Alex primary is better for duels and extended trades btw. Yeah Liu Che primary makes sense because you want to guarantee your active skill and then retreat without getting pulled in the enemy ball. But if you chain your rage bar from one enemy to another without getting pulled in then it really doesn´t help that Liu che is primary does it? Getting alex´s 30% all damage taken debuff off first is alot more interesting in situations where you don´t intend to cheeseburger or lose your rage bar (successfully and safely chain rage open field). Works for me, my Alex trades 4x as primary and my Liu Che about the same when open field. Liu Che really pops off for me when I´m grilling up some cheeseburgers, I think most people are focusing on Alex´s insta proc but they are sleeping his debuff.
testing could be more comprehensive, instead of tossing him behind Huo only. But I think you are spot on, if you are only running 5 marches its better to have 5 marches of DPS. Philip best for 6th or 7th march only.
Hey. FYI Philip Ash/ Ash Phillip has been one of the most talked about marches with Phillip same as ragnar. The consensus is if you put him qith a huge aoe dealer he boosts that even more.
I think we need real world testing because there are two flaws with these tests; the first is, does the murderball test against the 'thief' just keep the fight going, while in reality, troops would drop unequally, COMPLETELY changing that dynamic; and, if two murderballs fought, each 5 or 7 strong... 6 minutes is far too long for an actual fight. Theory is fine, but in game performance? We'll have to wait... imho.
Kinda disapointed by the video, the insight on that one is way lower than usual. Testing Huo and Shajar seems very random. What's determining about philip's kit are both his expertise and his 4th. -expertise makes it so you want to pair him with a very strong active skill primary, which leans toward Zhuge, Ragnar and LuChe - but because, out of those 3, LuChe turns philip's 4th into an OP skill, he is the one commander to test. (LuChe also happens to be one the few commander that can link a second skill cycle with a "triple skill" skill cycle, meaning his active during the second cycle can benefit from Philip's buff from the first cycle) Another "easy way" to figure that pairing was to "simply" realize that Philip has litteraly the same kit as Alex but powercreeped by 5years (Lilith was kind enough to hint that by using philip .... aka Alexander's father to hold the same kit) Do you know how Specko coded Philip's expertise ? Cause i'm pretty confident when i say that the primary will have 40% chance, and the secondary will have 20%, no matter which commander it is.
Philip is very clearly a primary commander. You're just throwing away 20% all damage with him secondary. (He also has a lot of synergy with Ashur due to to skill reuse.) Also, the ball tests seem next to worthless if it's only counting aoe skills as hitting 1 target. Realistically theyre going to be doing double the damage at least.
Not to beat a dead horse but I cannot believe that it didn't occur to you to test Philip as the primary. I have to guess that it was a ploy to get people to go get the simulator.
Yea or why he would test him behind Huo of all commanders and then says he isn't gonna test him with Ashur where there is 10x more synergy in that march lmfao. This video was long and useless.
