My brother and my grandma used to watch WWF together and scream and shout at the TV both of them loved the Rock “can you smell what the Rock is cooking”!!! It was the most fun my grandma ever had, on the edge of her seat saying hit him harder lol it was entertaining and every time I see him I think of her watching him 😁 he makes people smile

Growing up in Bay Area, California.We had Big Time Wrestling to watch The Rock's dad Rocky Johnson and grandfather High Chief Peter Mavia. Amongst other famous wrestlers.Pat Patterson,Ray The Crippler Stevens, Pepper Gomez,Kenji Shibuya, young Roddy Piper.
He is the bulky Tom Hanks. So very likable and so broad in appeal. Love that ROCK!! :)

The Rock's always been like that, aside from a few rivals back in the day, you'll never hear a bad word about him from any wrestlers that worked with him because by all accounts, he was a class act. Brock Lesnar said that he had very few friends when he came to WWE but Rock really looked out for him & passed the torch to him as well, to this day he considers him a close friend. You can even find a video of Rock surprising him backstage & they hug. The Rock is a legend. :)

While he personally was "poor" his family had a ton of money. And he played at Miami. He was never going to go without a meal. "The Big One Expo" on Monday nights and the Sports Arena at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds on Saturdays. The dying days of Memphis wrestling.

Rocky Miavia (an homage to his father and grandfather "Soulman" Rocky Johnson and "High Chief" Peter Miavia) was actually not Dwayne's first wrestling name, it was his first name when he came up to the WWF but when he was just learning the ropes in Memphis' Ohio Valley Wrestling he was going by the name of Flex Cavana.
