Very spectacular!! One of the few that really resemble the peruvian masonry.

Does remind me of the various Inca walls in and around Cosco, Peru that are the foundatin walls of the Spanish colonial structures.

So intriguing for me to see that in many cases we find really polygonal walls, which as far as Ive seen are truly much harder to be destroyed by earthquakes, etc, so I wonder why then to build these other walls that are not polygonal. Thank you, I had a wonderful tip around this new place. 🙃

It's wonderful to see this site. You should pay more attention to the holes and surface smears and surface layers on the blocks. These blocks are most similar to Bozukkale in Turkiye. Thank you!

It's still quite skilled masonry for an unknown site . I find these obscure sites more fascinating.

at 2:34 on the second block on the right, second from the bottom, is an outline of the island of Cyprus on the left side of the block.

google AI says Proerna was settled in C4. In the context of Greek history, the "C4 period" likely refers to the Late Bronze Age, specifically between 1600 and 1100 BCE, '

Hephaestus whom Homer said built the "well-built walls" with 2 Cyclopes, is mentioned in 1900 -1700 BC in Crete...[ 1600-1700 BC Proerna/Hephaestus is a pretty close date from 2 differrent sources..A-pa-i-ti-jo, the Crete name for Hephaestus...may be carved somewhere on the walls he built ... I will bet an olive. -source "Hephaestus is probably associated with the Linear B (Mycenaean Greek) inscription 𐀀𐀞𐀂𐀴𐀍, A-pa-i-ti-jo, found at Knossos.[5] " Beekes 2009, p. 527. " (2009). I f`n you built many polygonal wall with 2 Cyclopes giants, you would carve your name in it too. .. signing your name in the corner of the canvas. These polygonal walls are works of art because they are easy on the eyes...

@@williamolivadoti3867 it means 4th century bc. Its probably wrong or refers to some repair work or repurpose that was done to the megalithic base which clearly must be alot older.

"Helenistic"(Helenic= greek) is the name of the period after Alexander 350bc until the Roman conquest 146 bc. The culture is still "Greek" but is dispersed across the east all the way to India! I reaally doubt this place was put together in that time frame.

I’m positive some other the sites are much older than they are presently dated.
The three stones in the wall at Baalbek were not made by Romans. Had they been they would be for all to see. I believe the Stone of the pregnant women they did make but could not move, if I’m right it would be much older construct.

At 5:17 at your right hand is a knife in a decorated scabbard with an animal on the left. If I ever get the time, I will take some screenshots of the blocks, run them thru my pattern recognition/image enhancement software with a couple of agorithms to bring out the carved details thereupon.

Of course it is Hellenistic. It couldn't be anything but Hellenistic.
Because there is a narrative to be maintained.
The accepted model of history must be enforced.
