Inspired by the new Seahawks throwback uniforms, I went looking for the most authentic throwback jersey you can buy, and landed on the Mitchell & Ness Authentic line of NFL jerseys. The sizing seemed a bit strange, so I ordered a size 36 (S) and a size 40(M) Authentic Steve Largent Seattle Seahawks 1985 Jersey to see how they would fit. In this video, we'll take a close look at the Mitchell & Ness Authentic NFL jerseys, try on the size 36 and size 40, and see which size might work the best for you . For reference, I'm 6' 2", 175 lbs., and have a 40" chest.

Thanks for the video, this is really helpful for me. I'm looking to get a Legacy Atlanta Falcons Deion Sanders jersey. I'm 5'5" 110lbs and based on this video I think the S might be way to big for me. I generally like a slimmer fit - would you recommend a Youth XL or L? Thanks in advance!

Great jersey! I believe your review is a one of a kind as I’ve looked and looked before and found nada.
As I live in New Zealand I wanted to be sure before I pulled the trigger ($400NZD) but in the end I just went for it! have had it around 2 years now and I absolutely love it! I think the price tag is worth it if your a fan and want that authentic Seahawks era feel.
Couple things - Steve Largent is the only Seahawks player available in the M&N authentic line, i agree that the quality is great and having also owned a current uni Nike Elite jersey the quality matches up to those although the fabrics are completely different. I do prefer the look of this one however with the large numbers, nameplate and sleeve hawk and your right the large open mesh does leave you feeling a little exposed!

Nice! They have a few more Seahawks available in their "Legacy" line, but I'm glad that if they were only going to include one in the Authentic line, that they chose Largent.

Taking the size 40 allows you to wear a tee or singlet under the shirt, maybe. Maybe not. It looks great. Perhaps the authentic range was meant for bodies from the 1970-80s and not todays average figure. 😂. But it fits you well and its a good choice. I am also learning about the Seattle Sea Hawks too. 👍

For that amount of money I would think it would be seen perfectly: it looks as if (at least on the 36) “Largent” is slanted to the right. The Jersey you’ve chosen looks great! 😊

Sweet jersey! How much longer is the 40 than the 36?
Not a huge difference, but the 36 bound up around the chest and shoulders and was very hard to get off.

40 looks great. Make sure you borrow one of Diamonds lingerie bags to wash it in and then wash it on delicate.

Haha! I'm a little annoyed with the niners right now, but I won't hold it against you. ;-)
It's a $250 jersey that ultimately, at least in my opinion, isn't worth the price tag just because of the heat pressed numbers and graphics. A few washes, and that press comes off in no time, then you're left with a $250 blank mesh/polyester jersey. The stitching and twill jerseys might not be "authentic", but the point of them is to show fandom while at least retaining the numbers and name on the jersey.
I have this Largent jersey in a size large. The screen printed name and numbers are not going to come off anytime soon. If you owned a Mitchell & Ness Authentic jersey, you see the quality and know the name and numbers are not coming off. I paid $150 when Mitchell & Ness had 40% off sales. I have Mitchell & Ness Screen printed jersey's from over 15 ago ( example Kellen Winslow Chargers ) and the name and numbers do not show any signs of peeling. I have bought used older Authentic M&N jerseys and those heat pressed are not peeling of fading. I own Sand Knit football jerseys from the mid 80's and those heat pressed jerseys show no signs of coming off either. He should of bought a larger jersey, so that he could wear a hoodie underneath the jersey and keep the jersey cleaner.
For jerseys..they, they should NEVER go in the dryer. Heat pressed or stitched, leave them out of the dryer. And if possible keep it cold wash, but most importantly no dryer

Depends on the team and the era! If a particular team had stitched logos on their jerseys during the era that M&N is replicating, then they’ll be stitched on the Authentic jerseys. The Seahawks had heat pressed logos in that era, so they’re heat pressed on the authentic line.
