Team USA Takes Silver at Under-18 Men’s World Championship

The U.S. Under-18 Men’s National Team took home silver following a 6-4 loss to Canada in the gold medal game at the 2024 IIHF Under-18 Men’s World Championship in Finland on Sunday. The team’s silver medal marks the program’s 20th all-time medal at the tournament.

These same US players play and train together as a team for years ... Canadian players all come from different teams right before the tournament starts. It's a testament to the Canadian player that they still come together as a team and win these events.

the nhl is becoming very boring. The physicality has been removed from the game. the emotion has been removed from the game. the idea was to make games faster and with higher scores, but that has not happened. we just have diminished quality where the players use 1/3 of the ice sheet. officiating remains as horrible as it ever was, and the players are no longer allowed to police the game. i give it three more seasons before the vegtable garden becomes more interesting than the stanley cup.
