@@TariqAlware Thanks for the suggestion ,Yes I am planning to post more about LD with OPTA PLC. I have been spending time with Arduino OPTA these days and planning to post more videos (very soon :) ). Also , meanwhile if you want to learn about LD similar to Allen-Bradley platform ,please check my courses on Linkedin learning , i have many of them covering Ladder logic programming.
Comparison of this device with S7-1200 would be interesting. And price comparison in case of different number of inputs and outputs. Nice video. Thank you.
Thanks for watching and for the suggestion, i like the idea of doing a comparison between the two. I worked with S7-1200 long time ago , would be nice to put the two together in comparison.
Hello @InstructorZara Currently I am working with the opta PLC, the top Wi-Fi model. So, this is basically commercial project for pump control and mostly the control side program has been developed in PLC IDE. Most of the part is ladder logic. Some of the blocks are in St. Structure text. But now, I am stuck with using the internal RTC in plcide, I cannot figure out a way where to find the local running time. Since this is needed to generate logs for some alarms. We want to generate some internal logs with the time stamp. Suppose a PUMPs MPCB trips for phase Imbalance protection then the feedback is received on the physical input of PLC. So we want to store a variable with time stamp and that variable with the fault for events logging. Could you help me figure this out.
Hello Tariq I don't know the answer yet ,I will look into and try to come back to you .. meanwhile here are some resources that i hope it helps docs.arduino.cc/tutorials/opta/home-automation-application-note/ forum.arduino.cc/t/opta-internal-rtc/1099275
Hello, I have a problem, after I do everything in the video, when I let them connect, a Com7 server v12.1.0.42 icon from WinCommLibs appears and after a while the program crashes. What could be the problem?
Hello , i didn't experience this error ,but I think it seems it might have to do with Communication settings. Try using another Com Port, and let me know how it goes ? Also double check the Com port setting , baudrate, frame setting..etc use this as a reference: docs.arduino.cc/software/plc-ide/tutorials/plc-ide-setup-license/ docs.arduino.cc/software/plc-ide/tutorials/modbus-setup/ Also here are comments if you want to check as well (from other people facing similar issue) forum.arduino.cc/t/plc-ide-and-arduino-opta-cannot-connect/1273017/2 forum.arduino.cc/t/opta-finder-freezes-when-trying-to-connect-in-plc/1262255 Hope this helps.
more video on ladder logic with opta please!
Yes I am planning to cover more on the Ladder logic programming with OPTA very soon.
@@InstructorZara thank you so much!
yeah, with some simple circuit included will be best
@InstructorZara
Please make that series. First time working on OPTA & accustomed to LD in TIA Portal.
Already having lot of trouble.

It was not possible to have communication with OPTA and laptop? Can you help?
