I've been tying flies for almost 40 years now and still have problems with Mallard flank wings on Hendrickson's, light Cahills, ect. So i just do calf tail wings, deer hair or parachutes.
@stnicholas1224 Brian has a live feed at 9pm EST Wednesday till Monday. You and your papa are welcome to join in and watch. You can ask questions Brian or one of the moderator team will answer your questions. Each night Brian ties multiple flies of many types often with info about the origin of patterns. In just over two years he is the most watched fly tier across multiple formats.
Excellent tutorial and clear explanation. Slip wings are difficult to do well, these instructions take a lot of the fear out of it. Thank you for sharing.
