for the recovery and transport of cars, there are two different licence requirements. you can get info on the government website Recovery vehicles of any weight are exempt from operator licensing. But you will need to apply to your nearest Vehicle Registration Office for a licence to work as a recovery operator

You got this! It is a lot but it's doable. Focus on Calculating Cost, Driving hours as these always come up. Go over sample papers from the past exams and try to attempt it.
To be honest it it’s always the case that some businesses go bust and others take advantage and take over their customers. So it really depends on a few factors. But it’s definitely harder now than it’s ever been before

It’s actually a safer option to apply first as you’re not guaranteed to get a licence and then what you going to do with a truck. Beside you can’t park the lorry anywhere you must have approved parking space and you can’t legally get it until you have a licence

It's better to have your business up north as rates are almost similar and expenses like parking are low. You need a standard international goods vehicle operator licence to use your vans or car and trailers over 2.5 tonnes to transport goods for hire or reward in the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland
Hi, No you don't need an O License for this. I think its a taxi license that you need, but speak to Uber they will be able to offer you a free advice on this.
No unfortunately. You need 8k of just financial standing then you have to hire the track or buy it and need cash flow to pay all the expenses until at least 30 days as it will take some time before you start getting paid. But 25k should be ok to begin with unless you are hiring track for now then maybe 15 would be just about enough

I wouldn’t not recommend AFP and although some people went into it I think what you get left behind is not sufficient for running a business in such stressful industry. Start of one truck max two and build it up as you find regular jobs. To start of use platforms for jobs like HX or Amazon relay. Hope this helps

Hi Abdul I recommend you going on Facebook groups for TM (there are quite few) and asking around. There would he plenty to choose from I’m sure. I’m stretched at the moment and not taking any clients I’m afraid
No - licence cannot be hired. It can only be used by the actual company that operates the vehicles and every vehicle that is added into the licence must belong to the company so neither of the options you said can be utilised
No, you don't need to pass any exams unless... You would be acting as your own Transport Manager- in which case you need CPC Qualification Or Want to be a HGV driver yourself - then you need to pass your Driving licence and CPC for drivers. Hope this helps
It is a different qualification altogether. CPC TM does not allow driving trucks where’s Drivers CPC does not allow being a transport manager. I hope that’s helpful and thanks for watching

It is challenging but it’s there for a reason. Otherwise everyone would jump on a wagon of truck business and that would not be a good thing.

It costs £10 per short-term permit and £123 per annual permit. plus £10 for the application form. hope that helps
