  • Meditation Mantra: Om Mani Padme Hum - 108 mantas
Tibetan Buddhism Chant (pronounced: Ohm Mani, Pad-a-may Hum)
108 chants with nose breathing cues
Om Mani Padme Hum- "Praise to the Jewel in the Lotus",
is a reminder that the Divine (Jewel) is within our hearts. We are what we seek. Chanting this mantra opens the heart chakra, and brings calm and healing.
This mantra is also known as the 'Six-syllable Mantra', and is one of the most well-known mantras in Tibetan Buddhism. It can be used for meditation, healing, and spiritual development.
The word Hum means union, and refers to the union that must be made between the intention (mani) and the wisdom (padme) in order to achieve the purity in body, speech and mind of the Buddha. The intention and the wisdom are therefore one, because intention cannot exist without wisdom.
Due to the increased interactions between Chinese Buddhists and Tibetans and Mongolians during the 11th century, the mantra also entered Chinese Buddhism. The mantra has also been adapted into Chinese Taoism.
The six destructive emotions responsible for the six realms of samsara are purified when we recite Om Mani Padme Hum. This is how chanting the six syllables end the suffering inherent in each of the six realms and prevents reincarnation.
    Om - purifies Ego
    Ma - purifies Jealousy
    Ni - purifies Passion
    Pad - purifies Ignorance
    Me - purifies Greed
    Hum - purifies Hatred
The six syllable mantra means that in dependence on the practice which is an invisible union of intention and wisdom, you can transform an impure body, mind and speech into the pure body, mind and speech of a Buddha.
