the thing that makes me sad abt this ep esp seeing the ep 11 teasers, is that teerak’s relationship with meunfah is the first thing he’s truly allowed himself to have without thinking about other people. teerak is sweet and kind but also a people pleaser, he hates to make people feel bad it’s why he never gave oh the hard no until he realized how draining it was on him and how much he loves meunfah. he is so conscious of the fact that he may not be accepted, and he’s obviously scared that he will be forced to break up with meunfah. he doesn’t fully trust himself to stand up against parents and others who more strongly go after their relationship negatively. he’s learning to allow himself to be selfish, but he’s not in the place to feel confident in his resolve. it’s why he was so scared to meet meunfah’s parents: he thought they would make him break up with him. he didn’t know that he was adopted as son-in-law on sight, especially with how happy he has made meunfah. his dad is such a strong patriarch and he is always trying to seek his approval, hell, so much of the fake dating rumors started was because when he was drunk he wanted a kiss on the head from his dad and meunfah did it to make him happy. teerak is in a whirlwind of emotions after meeting them, it’s why he stayed over again and finally felt ready to give all of himself to meunfah. not as repayment, but to show his commitment outside of introducing him to family, he wants meunfah to know he is serious, because his boyfriend showed how committed to him he is. meeting the family is such a big deal in multi-generational house society, and he can’t offer that same stability. he wants to so bad, and it kills me the angst that’s gonna happen on sunday.
