I’m not sure if I’ve read anywhere that Storm took ever Thor’s mantle. However, they were referring to that she was old cuz she’s a god, which she isn’t. She was born in Harlem and then moved to Egypt where her parents were killed and she became a thief to survive. Then was worshipped as a goddess for her powers. It was only after being recruited by Charles Xavier that she became more powerful and was revealed to be an omega level mutant. BUT SHE IS NOT A GOD!!! and she don’t have to be there are some omega level mutants that could very well easily kill a god
Chocolate Box given that some mutants are capable to warp reality and even collapse it (like franklin ricchards) they are certainly capable of preventing the existence of certain gods who aren’t omnipotent, some that wouldnt be harmed are deities like the Living Tribunal or Galactus for example.
Storm is a goddess now! Marvel confirmed it.

On a related note: Bob, in my imagination, I can call you up on the phone and discuss all my questions and thoughts on issues of race. I live in an island of whiteness, so much so that Italians are thought of as being sort of half-white. And, that's the thing: I would love to hear a discussion about how our country was set up to give rural folks in the US a disproportionately large voice and that part of the current that has polarized thinking in the US is the flight of EDUCATED PERSONS OF COLOUR AND CONCIENCE from rural areas. I want desperately to hear your thoughts on this issue. Could America be healed if socially conscious persons moved into rural areas with respect? Oh, I see the Californians come up with their own ideas about how to make a pancake and what constitutes reasonable Winter weather, then they leave after 2-4 years having done nothing but raise the average local rent. I mean for realz.
That said, thank you for helping continue the education of a weird white woman of no particular means, living her best life among the obstinate others of rural USA.
I'm here, clinging to the edge of The World for the company of trees and bringing my vote where it's needed. So many thanks to you both for keeping me on track and entertained while reminding me of the issues at hand.
